Hardly, as a rule what you train your dog sends a clear message. There are very clear implications between training your dog to maul children or treat them well, and training your dog to associate with a genocidal ideology means that you're associating with a genocidal ideology.
Associating is tacit support for the simple fact that if you wouldn't associate with them if you didn't have some form of support, conscious or not.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnIf he wanted to just piss of his girlfriend, he could've only shown it to his girlfriend. But he made a video trivializing the holocaust and made it public.
Quite, not to mention that there are many ways to piss someone off without bringing Nazism into it. That was all him and extremely telling.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnLet's step back form Nazism for a bit.
Let pretend that he dyed the dogs hair blue and trained the dog to wag his tail when the phase 'intersectionity' is mentioned.Does that count as a support of feminism?
Like wise if he give the dog toy guns and uploaded the video saying 'they're going to take our guns' in a funny voice.Does that count as support for the NFA?
Keep in mind that he did say before hand that's he doing this because his girlfriend wouldn't stop talking about how cute her dog his so he's going to make the dog into the worse thing he can possibility think of
This logic does not flow in any other situation so why is it being accepted here

Firstly neither conservatism nor feminism are comparable to Nazism, they are explicitly different ideology types in that the former do not support genocide while the latter does. So comparing the two in such a manner is extremely fallacious.
Furthermore dying your dog's hair blue and training it to wag its tail sounds more like something a anti-feminist/misogynist would do then a supporter of feminism. But this is admittedly besides the point.

That is my point. The point of the joke was to make fun of Nazis not support them.

Really, then why would he do it to annoy his girlfriend? Unless she was a Nazi I don't see how clearly mocking them would annoy her. Unless of course that's a nonsensical ex post facto rationalization on your part to excuse him...
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnI already answered this question so I'm just going to paste what I said earlier

I've already more or less said all there is to be said about this, unless this discussion somehow goes in some new direction I'm going to bow out of it.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnFair enough. I'm pretty much done here too.

which video was that? Last I checked he outright refused to defend PDP after he said the N-word on stream.
"It's a joke" is the defense that always gets invoked by anti-Semites when they get caught being anti-Semitic. It's the defense that the Nazi supporter in my high school class used to use every time he threw the salute (in front of the Jewish kids). It's BS.
Before that, when every YouTuber seemed to be coming out to defend Pew Die Pie for the "Kill all Jews, subscribe to Keemstar" Fiver gag. I remember him as having defended Pew Die Pie alongside Ethan Klein and Markiplier.
If he didn't support Pew Die Pie when he said the N-word, then good, he has some mild scruples. Mild.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I Was Just Joking is generally a pretty bad excuse. Even more so when you're trying to use it to defend acts of bigotry.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI have seen one or two videos of his, and they were not all that great. But from what I have heard about him, and from how he titles a lot of his content, he strikes me as one of those smug people who thinks that "extremism on either side" is prevalent, and that everybody would be better off trying to be "rational" (i.e trying to find a middle ground when there is either none, or so skewed that it might as well not exist), and everyone that dares to be passionate about issues is either a loon or a loser. Frankly, he reminds me of the showrunners of South Park.
Don't catch you slippin' now. That's pretty accurate. It wasn't as intolerable a few years ago, when he discussed politics far less, and the politics in question were marginally less insane (the Tea Party was bad, but they weren't open Nazis), but now it's become outright disgusting. I walked away after he did a video trying to rehabilitate Richard Spencer by insisting he wasn't really a Nazi.

First off a lot of you clearly are not PDF fans so why are you even here
Secondly none of you seem to understand the joke. The joke was "oh this thing is so adorable so let's make it into the worst thing imaginable" he says it himself at the beginning of the video. Therefore he acknowledges that nazism and anti semitism are awful. Therefore this means their was no pro nazi sentiment in the video.
Third if the pug had been trained to respond to "kill the whites" or "kill the infidels" do you think he (Count Dankula not the pug) would've been arrested
Fourth laws based solely on if people may or may not be offended (I'm pretty sure Ethan of H 3 H 3 is against the trial verdict for starters and I have a feeling that the person who reported Dankula to the police wasn't even Jewish for another) then we end up in a dystopian shithole like Fahrenheit 451 or Demolition Man
Fifth come on a nazi pug the very concept is just ridiculous I have no idea why people are getting so worked up over it. Might as well arrest the creators of Wolfenstein for creating the Panzerhund.
Sixth the way you are talking about Phil and Dank is borderline character assasination.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? Not required to be a fan of a show when I post in the thread. And while I generally avoid threads for shows I don't like, shows that spread alt-right propaganda are another thing.
Of course in this specific case, I'm also an ex-fan who once watched him religiously.
You don't seem to understand Nazism and anti-Semitism aren't funny. Ever.
Hmmm...do I think we'd arrest someone on suspicion of being Muslim? Yes. Yes I do. What version of the Western world are you living in where Islamaphobia isn't a thing?
You have a "feeling" that the person isn't Jewish. Because "real" minorities don't get offended by stuff you consider funny, I suppose? Bonus points for the nonsense slippery slope fallacy, the invocation of a bad Stallone film, and not understanding what hate speech is.
Being a Nazi is automatically a threat.
Yeah, because making your dog act like a Nazi and creating a villain in a game for the players to shoot are totally the same.
We'll add "character assassination" to the list of terms you're misusing. We're not libeling the You Tube hacks in question, we're describing them.

I was going to post a long response but thanks Ambar for preempting me
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnOh, and you know who actually wants to create a dystopia? Neo-Nazis, anti-Semites, alt-righters, racists, misogynists, homophobes, and their various apologists.
Ethan Klein is friends with white supremacists and is an alt right sympathizer, his opinion should not hold more precedence than the opinions of other Jewish people who take issue with this. He does not speak for all Jews.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Humor is subjective but that is no excuse for anti-Semitic jokes.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?My main problem with De Franco is that, like in this case, he has no problem condemning when he feels some racist gets treated too unfairly (like when he said the UK denying blatant white supremacist Lauren Southern entrance to their country was some kind of slight against free speech), but otherwise he tries to be as painfully neutral/"both sides are bad" about things as possible. You'll see him condemning the most extreme things from both sides, but he focuses on leftism far more.
It's nothing new. Most "neutral" Youtubers try to appease their right-leaning audience by targeting the so called ~leftist extremists~ far more despite the fact that the right's are far more dangerous and prevalent. Probably because they know that a big part of Youtube is an alt-right cesspool and they just want the views. Not surprised De Franco talks about something like this up here when there's far more notable and/or horrifying things he could bring attention to.
....That's hardly a fair comparison. For one burning crosses is a clear sign of support.
The point of the joke was that he thinks Nazis are horrible people.Condemnation in other words.
Secondly training a dog doesn't require burning shit on other peoples homes.
