I'm getting flashbacks to what Tifa called Barret on the stairs in the original FFVII.
Just have Alfred dress up the corpses of prisoners and talk to them like they're his sister.
It's not like CV is some masterpiece of sacred storytelling that must be preserved. It's pretty much trashy from the get go.
You are not alone.^^Well to be fair, she might have meant that he is freak who also crossdresses, not freak for crossdressing ;P
...Okay yeah, that was bad joke, even grammar wise that joke wouldn't work. But seriously though, in general "freak" is one of those insults that never age well. Like even for psycho killers, insulting them for being crazy comes across as insulting mentally ill when enough time passes(or rather it will come across as portraying mentally ill as "violent freaks")

Huh. I came pretty close to making the same joke myself. Glad I didn't.
I imagine if they did keep that part, that's the impression they'd want to give: that his crossdressing and insanity are separate things. That he'd be looney toons even without it, but....that just doesn't fly these days.
No sir it does not. So if they want to keep those character beats, some stuff is gonna have to go, and some stuff is gonna have to be altered.
One Strip! One Strip! You'd think Claire would be more tolerant after her brother got kicked out of the Air Force because of Don't Ask, Don't Tell.
Something that's been bugging me since forever; why does the BSAA not wear gas masks? You'd think an armed force developed specifically to combat bioweapons would give them out like candy.
Like, Carla Radames seems to expect them to wear gas masks since she develops a crazy syringe grenade to bypass them instead of just stuffing her virus in a smoke dispenser or something.
You are not alone. She's chilling with Svetlana from Damnation and that lady in the fetish wear from Vendetta.
You are not alone. You're thinking of Rachael Foley, who had a very realistic fate for someone who ran into a combat zone wearing stripperiffic clothes.
You are not alone.Oh right. Jessica was the traitor who just disappeared.
Svetlana got arrested, so I'm pretty sure Jess ain't with her. Maybe hanging out in the Karma Houdini Hotel with Nikolai?
One Strip! One Strip!Nikolai is a boss fight in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City which should really be renamed "The game with tons of awesome ideas that they didn't allow to fully bake"
I still have that installed in my computer.
You know what's funny about Revelations? Nobody really has a personality. Despite being partners Jill and Parker don't really have much in the way of witty banter. Hell, Parker and Jessica probably have more in their time together. And Jill spends six goddamn chapter just trying to find a working phone.
Threemake definitely did her justice. The writing and acting was on point for it.
You are not alone.

The issue I brought up is less about the changes that would need to be made, and more the hornets nest that a remake would bring up.
FFVII Remake left a lot of queer people worried about how the Honeybee Inn scene would be adapted. The result was good (albeit a bit Ru Paul mainstream), but until the day it came out, the entire community was dealing with the stress of how it would turn out, and the abuse of the transphobic trolls such things always stir up.
