Yes. And it's 2020, when people are effing aware that using crossdressing as shorthand for "crazy" is transphobic nonsense. :|

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerIt's for the best it be axed. It's not even "villain is a crossdresser", it's that Alfred Ashford is explicitly shown as crazy and twisted because he's a crossdresser.
Off the top of my head if they want to keep the dual identity reveal they can just use clever camera angling and Alfred heightening the pitch of his voice so it's not "haha look at this freaky guy in a dress."
Ashford isn't a crossdresser, Ashford is suffering the delusion he's his sister. He's not trans or even someone with a preference for female clothing, he has a split personality because he couldn't cope without his sister. He has a male identity, he just also has a female one.
Mind you, this is just a deliberate nod to Psycho.
I don't think they're remaking Code: Veronica, though.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.
Fine.
Looking forward to brutally defending yourself from a man forcefully turned into a monster because he's considered annoying then?
Plus if they make him more endearing it will be that much more of a Player Punch to have to do him in yourself.
I'm looking forward to them fixing Steve's character in order to ruin everyone's desire for Catharsis.
Not sure why this is the hill I want to die on, but I guess I can put some nice flowers on it and all. Make it a nice looking place.
One Strip! One Strip!"I'm looking forward to them fixing Steve's character in order to ruin everyone's desire for Catharsis.
Not sure why this is the hill I want to die on, but I guess I can put some nice flowers on it and all. Make it a nice looking place."
I'll join you on that hill.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I'm still of the opinion that they should change Steve into a outright villain who is obsessed with the idea of saving the day and getting the girl, thus making him do stuff like put Claire in dangerous situations so he can rescue her and then whine like a pissbaby when she gets out of them herself.
Although everyone seems to be pretty entrenched in their Steve Burnside opinions.
You are not alone.![]()

That reminds me of an old fan animation I saw as a kid where Steve sees Claire getting attacked by a Bandersnatch, and instead of just saving her, he runs up the stairs so he can pull a more heroic entrance by jumping in from the window.

RIP KissAnime.I never warmed up to Tidus but he wasn't that bad.
Although his romantic affection for Claire is not a point in his favor at all. For decades now Resident Evil has actually been good at avoiding shoving in needless romance. High-stress situations are a terrible place to start building a relationship.
Hey now, Tidus actually had Character Development. Somewhat. Steve kept wanting to tap dat the whole way.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Wasn't Steve still a teenager while Claire was already an adult? Suddenly I'm reminded of Dipper's crush on Wendy.
RIP KissAnime.
