Like literally ANY other direction. Any of them. Had he thrown Leon in any other direction the fall would have killed him, and he wouldn't have scored that lucky motorcycle hit. But no. You throw him into a wall.
Also, never be a helicopter pilot in Resident Evil. Because god-damn.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Looks like he intended to throw him off the building but his aim was way off and hit the wall that luckily stopped Leon's momentum enough to land on the other side of the rooftop. Or maybe i'm just overthinking it.
Also, probably a virus insanity induced mistake. RE villains do that a lot.
Or maybe it's Chris. His mere presence makes villains take a couple levels in dumbass.
Uni catYea, there was a lot of that moment in RE 4. Can't remember if that was the case in the RE 2 Remake.
Chris is good, really good, but he's not invincible. Granted, he lost that first fight pretty handily, but this movie was more focused on having awesome wuxia fight sequences - and it was a pretty awesome fight sequence.
tl;dr:
Watson: Glenn is just really good at hand-to-hand combat, on par with Chris. Doyle: They wanted a Wesker-like villain who Chris could actually stand a chance against, instead of relying on Gameplay and Story Segregation, and Glenn Arias was what they came up with.
That's still a load of bs that just tells me how much Capcom gives a crap about Chris.
Man, tried playing Code Veronica because everyone was saying it needs to be remade and because it turns out I bought it ages ago and never actually installed it.
You know what I love doing? Fighting Zombie Dogs with a Bow Gun. That's really fun. And getting mauled by bats you can't hit without a firearm. And not having firearms because your dual-wielded weapon locked onto a zombie in a corner so you can only aim at the one that's biting into your neck with one gun.
You are not alone. The thing is, Chris being the mighty Mountain of a man who once the Redfield fist connects its OVER
so yeah, Chris looks bad cause his usually dynamic is you have the bad guy that is styling while Chris is struggling to hit him... cause one Hit Chris wins.
Leon of the other had is usually in the reverse, So Leon gets to be stylish and cool and shit but is ultimately annoying/whittling his opponent down more then anything.
Honestly I like Chris' fights more cause half the time he does have to outsmart his opponent, Leon's just devolve down into overly choreographed Wuxia Micheal bay esque nonsense after a while.
That and lets be fair Capcom too busy trying to find new ways to make Leon prettier so they never let him get rough up like they let Chris
and really his rematch with Arias is alot of Counters/parries with very few connecting hits
Like the first fight with Glenn, Chris is off balanced from losing... yet another squad and isn't expecting to fight a mini wesker.
The second fight Chris clearly knows how dangerous his opponent is and Glenn doesn't get nearly as much offense like the first.
Chris needs to take some muai thay training learn to throw elbows and knees

This is an outrage against Luminara!Power Creep, Power Seep is a thing, you know. It's the same reason why, in most video games, you can dominate a boss with god-like strength then get your butt handed to you by a random mook.
RIP KissAnime. My main issue with remaking Code: Veronica would be a very similar one to the FFVII remake. That is to say, how they would handle certain tropes...
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerOkay but we gotta give Chris an unlockable dress and Claire an unlockable tuxedo then.
You are not alone. His drug addiction knew better.
Only got uppity when Chris threw him into a volcano and all that.
One Strip! One Strip! And even then it was less crippling and more the withdrawal turning him into an even more super-powered monster.
Jesus. The things Umbrella could have accomplished if they hadn't gone with "let's make marketable science monsters."
...something that's bugged me is why does every virus create glowing sections of weak/explosive tissue? Did the Umbrella science team leave those in on purpose?
Edited by Soble on May 16th 2020 at 4:36:53 AM
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!"Marketable science monsters" has always been their side project, remember.
And weirdly enough I think they are aware of the glowing weak point problem. Their most profitable line of Bioweapons, the Hunter series, are completely lacking them and the Tyrants wear a Power Limiter to stop the mutations that cause them.
Speaking of the Hunters why did they become such wimps in Revelations. Threemake and Operation Raccoon City are the games that really show what they're capable of.
You are not alone.Doesn't mean they have to be so damn weak. Scagdeads are ridiculously dangerous.
I don't need them jumping ten feet in the air to land claw-first (although they should) but fighting them is like playing a Dynasty Warriors game. Parker scythes through dozens of them effortlessly with his P90.
You are not alone.
x5: the glowing weak bits are cancer, at least for some of them. The Hunter Betas actually had their combat effectiveness reduced because of the tumors.
Probably has something to do with the ridiculous growth rates and necrosis seen in most viral BO Ws. Eventually, things goes wrong in the replication process as they continually grow, feed, mutate, get shot to pieces and regenerate.

Yeah, in the background of the original; however, it also noted they compensated with superior speed and reflexes, and arguably they are more dangerous than the Alphas in the first game, despite being more fragile. Would be interesting to ponder what they might have become if Umbrella invested the resources to refine them, or creating more instead of just cloning their one flawed prototype.

Arias had plenty of opportunities to just... Y'now... Win. But I don't think it's a movie you're actually supposed to think about at all.
Arias was also certifiably insane.
You are not alone.
