Its not like not using first aid sprays hurts playthrough so even if it wasn't a requirement no harm in trying lol.
Yeah I streamed RE 3 last year and people were telling me this and that about the game during a no save run.
youtube.com/Fire Trainer 92That's why I think Sherry is prime for her own solo game. RE has so many open plot lines though....
youtube.com/Fire Trainer 92I insist that the main series not get rebooted until they settle some of these ships and make them Official Couples already. Give Valenfield and Aeon their happy endings, so to speak.
So, there's a new version of RE 4 out on Steam.
Highly recommended, but some of the QTEs are bugged.
Direct all enquiries to Jamie B GoodWish they can get Resident Evil 7 to be right. Evil 5's cool, but they forgot the whole intense scare thing. RE 6 has some nice return toward the intensity and loneliness thing, but the whole control and camera is a bloody mess. I feel RE 4 is the only series so far that implemented the QTE right. RE 5 made the character overpowered, and RE 6's QTE (for me, at least) are ridiculously everywhere on insane variety.
I haven't played 6 yet. In all honestly, it looks like a continuation of the 'Resident Of Duty' trend that 5 started. I mean, you could argue it was a logical progression from 4's more streamlined gameplay, but 4 at least understood horror.
Also, at some point, I should get my Wii running again and beat REMake.

Actually, if they added the ability to walk while shooting, it will make Resident Evil's strong point in helpless thing (sluggish control) gone.
Resident Evil 4 is still scary because the atmosphere felt cold, and despite the good mechanic of the game, it's still made you feel helpless. You can only kick someone when you shoot his head, and that didn't make the enemy melt like Resident Evil 5. It's only to make you conserve your ammo a bit and give you some space.
And that's why RE and SH are scary.
You're feel helpless. The protagonist you play is weak, and you need to face these monsters.
Though i can accept if they add the ability to move as long as they made the atmosphere right and the protagonist is still weak compared to some zombies. Maybe in change of ability to move when shooting, the ammo need to be conserved more?
RE have always been Action Horror games anyways.
Anywho, the Call of Duty comparison(which doesn't really make any sense) is tiresome, just play the game....
youtube.com/Fire Trainer 92Having played to up to Chapter 4 of Chris' Campaign of RE 6, I would say that the Call Of Duty accusations aren't quite fair. The problem is, that it's trying to encourage the cover shooting, military shooter gameplay, when the cover shooting mechanics are awful. There's too many spots with entrenched enemies and goddamn snipers, too many chopper fights which have NO place in a Resident Evil game, and that's not even getting into the limited ammo and the obnoxious bullet knockdown. It's also clear that they wanted to go with a Military Shooter tone in the godawful story for Chris' Campaign, with the forced "MAH MEN ARE DEDDDDDD" drama, and big dramatic acts that fail for DRAMAH. Seriously, the missile going off accomplished NOTHING story wise. Okay, sure, it made more zombies for Leon to fight, but it's only for a brief bit, and the rest is focused on Simmons. You could have just have Simmons going on a rampage and getting people infected (If he can go from a Meat T-Rex to a Giant Fly, he can become something that would infect people, or spread infection.)
When the game is focused on Gun Brawler gameplay with the constant mutations, or bits like the Iluzija fight, it's actually fun. The problem is that it's all buried under so much crap, which is basically the running theme with the game. Good mechanics and ideas buried under too much shit. That's why i'm focused on RE 6 Mercenaries. Because it washes out a lot of the shit and lets the combat shine.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...I actually like Chris' the best nowadays since it actually holds some kind of weight for me.
But yeah the main game really does not compliment the control scheme at all. Which is why i think so many people had problems with the controls.
youtube.com/Fire Trainer 92I would dispute that.
RE 2 and on maybe but RE 1 was definitely just plain horror. It was bad, cheesy horror but I don't see any action in it at all.
RE 1 is still the only game I care about on its own. It was new and interesting. RE 0 I love because of some nostalgia and it has a few legitimately good points. The rest of the series is just whatever.
So...I'm in a huge RE mood. Anybody else want to partake in some generic favorite talk?

Dunno if I'm a bit late but I'm playing Resident Evil 2 on my PSP/PS 3 (Europe got the US Dual Shock version on the PS Classics system, WOOT) and even though I already A ranked Leon-A and Claire-B, anyone got any tips for me?
Are explosions science?Sorry dude, I got no tips. I was just looking for any RE topic and saw that this hasn't been posted in for over two months.
When we have news of RE-make HD
on the way. The hell people.

I've never been able to speed run a Resident Evil successfully.
