Lord Shen joined the Hoarde in hopes of finding allies to defeat the black and white warrior. There he met Shadow Weaver, whom is a high-ranking commander. With their combined intellect, they were able to coordinate much trouble.

Gadget meets Melinda during one of his many wacky adventures and ends up befriending her after helping her cope with a lot of her issues stemming from her ghost-seeing powers. Afterwards they begin to date, though a lot of people are confused because both couldn't be any more different.

It all goes too well at first, both heroes want to save the planet and are similar. But then things go downhill when Planetina uses her powers to incinerate a meeting between businessmen that were supporting illegal whaling for profits. Afterwards both fight and end up breaking up before Captain Planet finds a way to seal her away for everyone's good.
