Well, Golden Wolf, who makes many of the Disney bumper I Ds, said they created two for this series, one for Disney Channel and one for Disney XD. Hopefully, someone can upload the commercial.

I wonder they're trying to get back on air to burn through it so quickly if this is true?

So first they announced they would move Ducktales to XD and now Owl House? I wonder if they're just straight up moving all their action/adventure shows to XD or if it's a bad sign....

The Owl House is still a Disney Channel show. It's just going to start airing on Disney XD in 2 weeks. If I didn't make that clear, I apologize.

Regarding "Once Upon A Swap": I think it looked neat that their eyes did not transform when their bodies did, but I'm slightly annoyed that the villains did not retain their eyes the same way at the end of the episode, e.g. the dog in Lilith's body still had Lilith's eyes.

I wonder if that choice was supposed to be non-diegetic, like if it was just there for the audience's sake to make the swap a little more obvious, since none of the characters seemed to notice how their eyes changes (particularly, you would think Lilith would be able to tell her sister's eyes changed shape and color).

I guess, but that's also why Voices Are Mental is a thing.

They did it because it'd look cool if their appearance also changed slightly...

And they were right.

So nothing about the latest episode?

Learn a bit about Eda's school years, and to no surprise, she was a troublemaker. LWT also made it a point to highlight the thief in the Abomination incident report, so they might be important.

Luz is now attending Hexside, which just fuels the idea Eda didn't know how to teach her. Given the reaction to how Luz performs magic this might be an issue in her education there.

I haven't seen it yet, I'll watch it tomorrow morning, then give out the "quick thoughts" as always.

Glad to see Gus get the limelight. Matt is somehow a better Hate Sink than Boscha. The grand tour was delightfully grotesque.Love how Eda's past was put into case files...and dat hair!

How very dare, young Eda's hair was pretty.

Was so glad to see Gus have some Character Development, up to this point he was the only central character who hadn't gotten any. And I had no idea Mattholomule's voice actor was Gabe from Elena of Avalor, he sounds so different here!

So is next episode the last for the season already? I hope this show becomes as popular as Gravity Falls.

I think it's a midseason finale. Season 1 is said to be 20 episodes.

Dang. between the detention monster and the plant trying to eat that one girl, I'm thinking whoever storyboarded this episode has a particular interest.

Nice to see a Gus-focused episode. I thought that he would just forever be "that one side guy that hangs out with Willow."

Nice to see that the school will actually play a bigger role. I wonder if by "next semester" they mean season two.

It was hinted before, but never directly confirmed. Now it's directly confirmed. Dana Terrace said that the upcoming episode from Friday is the midseason finale.

I wonder, is King just adorable or is he actually a child? Because he acts like a child. Like is he gonna get bigger and slightly less cute in a few decades/centuries?

Luz and King need to stop going behind their mother's back jfc. Meanwhile Eda has gotten worse and worse about taking her meds.

Bat Queen is too mom for anyone's good. And she still has some lore to uncover. Don't tell me she belonged to whoever the bones of the island belonged to. Or the Emperor?

Poor Eda gets no relief.

Okay, "Quick Thoughts" regarding "Palisman"

Okay, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm tired of King being so ineffective,and frankly the tea-kettle rage isn't really funny at all. What happened to Mr. "knowledgeable about demons"? The fact that the literal snot-nosed kid could call him out ought be an indictment. However, the A-plot was amazing. Would've liked to see the trials a bit more...instead of rushed over. I also would've liked to see Amity in this...still going into The Bat Queen's past and the general world-building was a very welcome addition, Gus and Willow had some excellent one-liners. This was a pretty good episode, though a bit underwhelming for a mid-season finale.

At the last 10 seconds of this recap, it shows a sneak peek. It's small, but interesting.

The horse reminds me of...another Disney series...hopefully this one gets to live. Nice to see Amity again.
