If Moon Girl were to get guest stars, these are exactly the ones I want
More obscure and lesser known characters than the typical Avengers appearances
Blue Marvel for instance would be perfect for this show
I think the one next to White Tiger is Triathlon and the one next to D-Man is Smasher

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
I honestly thought that was Wolverine second to the right on the bottom.

By the end of next month, all of S1 will be Plused.
Also Coney Island Baby will see a big change. So I'm guessing we get confirmation that Mimi knows the Dinosized secret and maybe the rest of the family finds out.
Just got caught up with the new D+ episodes.
IIRC, the plan for this show was supposed to be that it would be episodic at first while Lunella's getting her sea legs, and then they wanted to switch over to a serialized story. Which is kind of unsettling. Anyone familiar with Star Vs. probably knows the risks involved in taking a wacky light-hearted romp full of grounded and relatable stories filtered through a bombastic cartoon lens and trying to turn it into a deep, serious fantasy epic.
So when they say that everything changes at "Coney Island, Baby!", I figure that's what they're talking about. Coney Island is going to be where the episodic fun-times get put away and the plot begins. I wonder if we've caught a bit of it already, with that Days of Future Past reference in "Skip Ad...olescence".
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. There are risks, but there is potential pay-off should it be properly executed. It's not like it would be the first cartoon that started to have a more serialized background story within the past decade, it just depends on the execution. Steven Universe and Amphibia started off more episodic, before having serialized stories later onward that many think were well executed. For Steven Universe, that was Mirror Gem, which many considered a Grow the Beard moment. For Amphibia, that was between the season 1 finale and the start of mid-season 2 with the introduction of Marcy and some would argue it was mid-season 1 where it started with the Sasha episode. Can probably think of plenty of cartoons like that nowadays, like Mystery Inc, Duck Tales, Craig of the Creek, etc. Episodic is great for sit-down and watch episodes, but having a serial story does allow for a sense of growth and progression and rewards continued emotional investment. It seems like the trend in kid cartoons these days is towards a healthy blend of both, which is what I expect for this show.
Really love that this show seems to focus on less well known Marvel characters, like I just found out Rat King
is from comics. It gives show it’s own Identity while making it clear it takes place in the bigger universe.
While Full on switch from episodic to serialised can work, if I had to guess show will remain balanced.
To put some background to that:
Aftershock's first appearance was in Spider-Girl, as Electro's future daughter. She committed crime for a short while until Spider-Girl, Peter Parker and the now-reformed Electro convinced her that she could do so much more with her powers. She reformed and never turned to villainy again.
Her second was in the regular 616 'verse. She appeared in the short-lived Young Allies as one of the Bastards of Evil — the discarded sons and daughters of various super-villains. They rampaged for a while, talking big crap about being "the next generation" that would wipe away the corrupt old society. Then it turned out they were actually just normal kids given powers and brainwashed into thinking they were the kids of super-crooks. They were captured, their leader promising they would soon be freed and given new allies...
And then Young Allies ended after a mere six issues, and Aftershock and the other Bastards were regulated to Comic Book Limbo, never to be heard from again.

That's probably intentional. I'm sure someone on the creative team noticed that connection and was like, "Oh, I have to use this villain." The fact that their big evil scheme was to steal pizza is pretty on-the-nose.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Hey, that's interesting.
I was assuming he was just a riff on Vermin, like how Teen Titans 2003 turned Film Freak into Control Freak. So it's really cool to know that they keep pulling less well known characters like that.
Like how they specifically picked Aftershock instead of Electro for this show.
Watching episode 2, and I can't help but notice that the "Don't feed the troll" story is right out of Wander over Yonder. Curious if that's deliberate, or just a coincidence.

They had plans to make Rat King the main villain of their third season, but the premature cancellation changed all those plans.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).In general as an aside, I came to figure even as a kid due to seeing variations that Rat King is based on the character of the same name from The Nutcracker.
For me, my first viewings of such was Mickey's Nutcracker: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt11223614/
And the Care Bears Nutcracker Suite.
Both airing on the Disney Channel at that. Mickey's Nutcracker additional was another rare use of Roger Rabbit.
In fact as I have seen when getting my collection post, the Who Framed Roger Rabbit graphic novel adaptation and it's sequel Resurrection of Doom was Disney and Marvel's first two collaborations.
Watching all the currently out episodes, I like how you can tell which are the nasty villains if they are directly harming the LES in some major way
Like the show's antagonists and situations vary from pretty light-hearted goof (Rat-King) to pretty dangerous (the time-skipping app) but the really serious ones are Aftershock for causing blackouts in the neighborhood and the Muzzlers for being gentrifiers.
