I would say the most obscure work that I won't shut up about is Eternal Darkness, part of the problem is that it's a gamecube exclusive game that has never seen a digital rerelease so there's a reason most people go 'huh?' when it's mentioned
As for other ones, there's Sacrifice ,and there's the Gaea trilogy by John Varley.

New theme music also a boxI love the novel The Luck of Relian Kru by Paula Volsky, and want to write a screen adaptation of it.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!I'm not sure if it counts as obscure, I never hear people talking about John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, which is a shame. It's a really cool horror movie not in the traditional vein. I like it.
I know they're highly influential, but I'm probably the only person I know who listens to Television.

“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” - Lewis CarrollDoes ANYONE but me remember Jingaroo? It was made by Beckett in 1998-1999 and was advertised in their unofficial Pokemon Collector magazines, including some comics.
I've spent decades trying to find how the 'Jingaroo is trapped in a dream' storyline ended because I have no idea what issue the first and second parts were in.

Bataille and Rallizes sounds like a good combo.
For fiction, “The Town of Cats” by Hagiwara Sakutarou. The only known prose work by a significant Japanese poet heavily influenced by the French and English Decadents, and a fine one at that.
For music, I could go on all day, but the mind-bending, grimy, noise-seared technical death metal of Uzumaki seems like a good place to start.
For film and television... watch Alien Nine. Please.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I probably know why but, Why do you think Bataille and Les Rallizes would go together. Honest question.
Confession: I ask because I like listening to the Cocteau Twins while reading the Marquis de Sade.

Might as well mention Simple Samosa here. It's a Disney Channel India original series about the adventures of an anthropomorphic samosa and his friends, a jalebi, a vada, and a dhokla. I would like to say, the animation isn't exactly the best (one person who noticed me discussing this show on a Discord server said it reminded him of Go Animate videos), nor is the premise exactly original, but the show itself isn't so terrible as to be completely unbearable, and it seems like it had plenty of potential, at least in my opinion.
Unfortunately, Disney India forced this show out of its restaurant only about half a year after it premiered, leaving a good chunk of the 31 or so episodes impossible to find online. Honestly, that seems really weird considering it got popular enough in India that two episodes uploaded to YouTube by Disney India themselves got over a million views. Actually, finding info about this show at all is surprisingly challenging, especially since this show aired entirely in 2018.
Also, the "F.R.I.E.N.D.S." Spelling Song in the English dub of the episode "Doctor D" (skip to about 8:27) could have run with the original Hindi lyrics since they were "D for Dhokla, O for omelet, S for special, T for tasty", all in Gratuitous English, and yet they only changed the audio track without changing the "DOST"note that appears on-screen. That inconsistency sticks out to me like a sore thumb for some reason.
On a note unrelated to Simple Samosa but still related to the sort of foreign cartoons Americans would be unfamiliar with, I created a page for such a show the other day: Our Friend Xiong Xiao Mi, a Chinese cartoon about a bear boy who is surprisingly similar to Winnie the Pooh, in an art style which basically screams "bootleg of Peppa Pig".

If you like 80s sinister psychological treatment and evaluation channels with antlered Russian intruders screwing with their tapes, there is nothing better than CH/SS.

She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterMixels, definitely. Such a good series with lovable characters, only for CN and LEGO to do away with them due to their unpopularity. I still own a few myself.
"Forget what you know....Embrace the Remix."I wouldn't consider Mixels too obscure, but now that you mentioned it, when was the last time CN did anything Mixels-related? I've still got my collection of LEGO Mixels too.
Obscure cartoons attract me like a magnet. Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, Happy Heroes, Simple Samosa, Doraemon...
Especially the show Pleasant Goat, which I love to watch even though it's in a foreign language.

Since all of those shows you mentioned are Asian cartoons, it seems like that should be reworded as "Asian cartoons attract me like a magnet". Let's face it, I'm definitely into a few Asian cartoons too. The Tamagotchi anime in particular could use a lot more love than it's getting in the West.
Nothing since 2016, if I remember correctly.
It was a hidden gem that was overshadowed by the hot garbage that is Teen Titans Go, which is still running
"Forget what you know....Embrace the Remix."Doraemon, obscure? Please, it's been aired in several countries and he's one of the most recognizable and long running anime icons.
For me, it's Bim Bum Bam and Si Juki for the non anime ones. With that said: Tensai Bakabon, Moretsu Ataro, Kaibutsu-kun, Ninja Hattori Kun, Warau Salesman, although the obscurity of a few of these are fairly give or take
"Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened."It's obscure in the Anglosphere.
TinkerQuarry. It's very obscure even among indie games, but it's gained a small but vocal cult following here.
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"Although it's been a while since I've played it as of this post, there's this indie game on Steam I randomly discovered called Super Saurio World, a 2D platformer where you play as a fat blue pterodactyl out to rescue his unhatched young. Despite the difficulty being absolutely unforgiving at times (especially with bosses) it's a pretty competent and fun game.

"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"I really love Cyberchase. It's got a great storyline, great characters, and great character development. The animation used to be great until they changed it in Season 6 sadly. Surprisingly, I've actually managed to find some awesome Cyberchase fanfictions on FanfictionDotNet

Small name correction, but it's actually called "Super Saurio Fly".
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Kagerou Project. The plot hardly makes sense until you've read the light novels/manga AND watched the anime AND listened to the songs, but trust me, it's a great hidden gem in the world of dark sci-fi animanga series once you get used to it.
Also, Donyatsu. In fact it's so obscure it doesn't even have a TV Tropes page.
Well, that’d be jus’ a waste. Why would ya want to deprive the world of such anomaly as yourself? Please disregard this post. I no longer consider its past contents appropriate.
