You guys think that the Zelda movie is gonna hold up any Mario sequels? Like if Miyamoto is focusing on that for the time being?
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.I’m honestly just waiting for that confirmation of a sequel because Daniel RPK already mentioned the whole cinematic universe smash bros pitch.
Is DRPK a reliable source?
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.I dont think the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a reliable source no
have a listen and have a link to my discord server…Seriously. Daniel RPK? Reliable? Yes? No?
I just really want a sequel at this point. Like is Miyamoto gonna want a sequel, given how he reacted to the critics, for example?

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. From what I read on the Mario Wiki, the Novelization for the movie got Cut Short. You think it might've been intentional, that they know people would rather go to a store and read the entire book without buying it, and if they wanted to see how it ended they would have to watch the movie?
It's actually not that uncommon a practice for Novelizations nowadays to just stop at a certain point before the climax. Pretty much for those exact reasons: studios don't want the ending to a film to be leaked before it's out and people posting the spoilers all over the place.
So, people on Twitter are spreading rumors that a Donkey Kong movie could be announced soon because a new locked account (@d0nkeykongmovie) has been created just before Mar10 Day. Probably means nothing but it’s a good idea to keep an eye on things.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.
With a handle like that, it seems unlikely, though not impossible, to be official. Usually corporations avoid using numbers in place of letters unless it's stylistically appropriate.
Someone also pointed out that @DonkeyKongMovie and @DKMovie were taken.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Still, they'd probably do something like DKMovieOfficial. They'd reach a long way before something that uses a number in place of a letter, since that type of thing just looks suspicious on Twitter.
My musician pageYou’re probably right. I’m skeptical too, tbh.
Now there’s a locked account for a Luigi’s Mansion movie. Again. Time will tell. But it’s likely someone goofing around.

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. There's a digital guidebook
for the movie that points out Easter Eggs. I didn't catch the Hanafuda Street or the Ice Climber polar bear ones!

The Protomen enhanced my life.Huh no, Miyamoto didn't say that. The actual quote is...

You cut off the last line of that quote, which is actually very relevant here.

Reading the entire thread from beginning to end (took a few days with reasonable break times) made for a rather interesting experience of watching evolving general opinions. Like, it started off with low expectations and general worries of what people believed Illumination were guaranteed to do, like make the Toads into Minion expies, which then led to the first teaser trailer when people started going, "Wait...this actually looks good?" There were other things, too, like wondering why a Peach this competent would ask for Mario's help, leading to the later revelations of, "Oh, OK, Peach doesn't ask for Mario's help; he comes in and insists on helping because their goals align. 'Your mortal enemy has my brother, so I gotta come!'" And initial (understandable) criticisms of Pratt's Mario voice leading up to the movie and comments that his performance in the film itself wasn't that bad and that the trailers made him sound worse.
I thought it was clever how they handled the Sequel Hook at the end with the Yoshi egg hatching, because it works whether or not we get a sequel. I mean, we definitely know now a sequel's happening with the success the movie has earned, but at the improbable chance that that success didn't happen, The Stinger would then have just been a fun little Godzilla Shout-Out.
One thing that confuses me is the people who want to see obscure popular characters like Fawful and Dimentio right away when this animated franchise has only just started. I mean, I'd love to see things like that from the Mario franchise translated into future animated adaptations as much as the next fan of those games, but they really oughta give the Super Mario Animated Universe room to grow rather than trying to cram in everything great all at once. Perhaps once we've gotten a couple movies in and maybe an animated series... (given the attention the Super Show has gotten thanks to the in-movie commerical, I absolutely do see a new cartoon show set in the movies' universe being in the cards)
