Well, I discovered her music on Youtube, and I'm currently listening to more of her stuff (some albums, a gateway compilation). It's quite a lot to explore, considering her long-standing career. I also find it interesting that plenty of her songs are not only popular throughout the Middle East, but they're an important part of Lebanon's culture.
With that being said, the albums I currently have are: Andaloussyiat (1966, but more precisely a 1997 re-edition), Mechwar (1996), Maarifti Feek (1987) and Eh Fi Amal (2010).
It's only a pity there aren't many translation of her songs (only the better known ones, such as "Al Bostah") in English (there are a few more in French, but I'm not fluent in it).
Just a shameless bump, but I am considering to add a trope page for this music artist (probably gonna be my first page I've ever created on this site). Although I do need a small bit of help with some Wiki Magic from y'all since I don't know a word of Arabic.
When you're not the father, It's a great big surprise. Thats-a-Maury.
Anyone know about this music artist from Lebanon, Fairuz (aka Nouhad haddad)? She has been performing since the early mid 20th century and still going according to Wikipedia.
