I remember only getting interested when the blogosphere was slowing down- and that was in 2012. I think EMH and Tribe Twelve have been averaging, what, less than three vids a year for the past half a decade now? Slendy's appeal is past its prime now, and a lot of good material stalled out halfway through because of it. :(
but HOW?I have an idea that will automatically make this movie awesome. The twist of the movie is that the Slender Man is actually the Terrible Trivium. The whole movie is a stealth prequel to a live action movie of The Phantom Tollbooth.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."
x3 I got one even better! The four teenage girls actually went missing 20 minutes into the film, and film instead focused on these two "paranormal experts" (i.e. ameuteur creepypasta writers/film makers) name Jake Kong and Eddie Spencer(who are played by James Roulfe and Mike Mattai respectively. The two decided to investigate the case, not to find the girls who went missing but rather to get inspiration for their film but soon find that not only Slenderman (whose real name is actually Prime Evil) is real but also leads an army of monsters/spirits who seek take over the world. Knowing they have to stop these creatures, they seek a scientist named Tracy who manage to invent gadgets and tech that can completely disintegrate these creatures. The problem is, Tracy live in a zoo . . . and is a gorilla. Hilarity Ensues!
Yep, this movie will be the Ghostbusters reboot we all deserved.

I believe said incident is why it took till 2018 for a movie.
