Fascinating.

Clemar are basically discount versions of Au Ra then. Seriously, the more I go into this game, the more fake some of those horns look. It's absurd.

Of course they’re fake! It’s a fantasy game!

No not like that! I mean in-universe those horns are a natural part of the body, but they look like hair decorations rather than actual horns.

If you are like me and prefer to clear all available sidequests before heading to a dungeon, absolutely do not do this in the fourth act with the Spire of Blind Faith. It's a hellish dungeon because of guaranteed bad weather, which you can only avoid after you clear the main story, and if you do not respect the informant's advice, you will die (no ifs), and not only on the final boss. So I would advise to just do it once you advance and save yourself some energy, because I did not spend a good time in there (and wasted a lot of my PM items to go through it in one go).

Funny to me thinking how Louis is clearly named after Louis Cyphre, but his last name Guiabern is derived from guaiabero a species of parrot.

Or rather it would if I didn’t know his true last name now and that it’s derived from another SMT Demon: Caladrius the healing bird.

So made it to the first town, and met the songstress in person.

I have to say, her eyes make her look like a Lalafell. Any FF XIV players here who see the similarity?

Gah, the Final Fantasy brain rot is real.

@Red Mild spoilers The Nidia are the lalafells of the game. The form you normally see is a glamour.

I'll save that post.

But I have to say, it kinda stands out now that there are no tiny people in this game like dwarves or the Lalas.

We got the tall Elves. Bah, probably just Atlus.

[up] Tall elves, just as Tolkien intended.

And now I wonder what the heck he would've said about this game.

Two flavors of elf in fact. Classical elves in the Rhoag (with the only twist being they age normally until their 60s and then their aging slows to a crawl), and the Deedlit/FFXI/FXIV style elves with the Rousante.

So I’m on the first day of the first mission after the cathedral was taken and the King’s face appeared in the sky. Should I dive right into saving the kingdom? Can I complete the side quests after?

Dumbass idea, but if the traveling boy is supposed to be a secret agent, do we could get away putting fake horns and pretending to be Clemar?

Gallica points out we’d be easily seen as Elda early on remember? Especially if he had tried to hide his identity more.

So I take it to mean he looks like the Stereotypical idea of what Eldans look like that they could tell even with fake Clemar horns. Of course an Eldan being able to “pass” as a Clemar should be possible as well…

My detective brain wonders if there's a lore reason why the horns look so weak.

At times the horns of Louis and Strohl look plastic. I guess in Strohl's case, Atlus wants him to look more human and thus heroic so his horns look like a damn hair decoration.

Okay, time to meet Joanna and solve the mystery of the disappearing children.

I mean, compare the horns of Lucifer with Louis. The former looks awesome and fitting, while the latter looks like something Louis bought from a discount Halloween store.

I get it's the art direction since every other Clemar horns look fake, but I'd like the horns to look cool.

I'm not sure if I screwed myself. My character's levels are in the mid 50s and I'm in the middle of October. I have 15 days left before the final deadline. The Trials and final bounties are kicking my ass. Can I beat the game at this point?

I think the problem you're having is that they look too close to his head. If they had a gap between the horns and the temples it wouldn't look as fake.

Of course there's a reason Lous' horns look fake.

As for the Elda thing. It would possible to hide it but for some reason Will cannot that's never really explained as far as I'm aware.

Do you have a brawler? The phase after him is weak to physical punches.

Bring someone with AOE heal spells and elemental spells plus light. He summons zombies.

Also she's part of the church. I'm gonna guess she's evil in some way. Seriously, those eyes creep the shit out of me.
