She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

Honestly it's kinda hard to tell that Entrapta is 30. She could just as easily have been half that age. That certainly would have fit with the general "kids ruling embattled kingdoms after their parents died in the previous big war" thing this show is doing.

The only reason they made her 30 is so that she could date the clearly much older Hordak, and even then she feels very much like his junior.

They were both very old teenagers.

Who knows how old Hordak is, anyway. He could be 500 years old for all we know.

I can believe that Entrapta is in her thirties. I've seen real-life people older than that who act similarly to Entrapta.

Well yes, but what I mean is that I can equally easily see her in her teens.

I think showmakers sometimes like to troll their audiences with that sort of thing. Remember the whole "Mort is actually like 30" from Madagascar?

Entrapta is old enough to commit tax fraud.

However, as the apparent ruler of her nation, would she even pay taxes in the first place?

Maybe Dryl is a vassal state or protectorate of Bright Moon and she‘s dodging taxes to Angela/Glimmer?

To be honest, we saw very few civilians in the show. Did we see anyone in Dryl other than the palace staff?

Yeah entrapta feel weird since she feel and kinda act like a 14 years old at times. Im sure they are 30 who act childish but she feel...childish-childish like a really child would act.

Who would she even be paying taxes to? That is a weird detail to put in there.

Where did you get that from, that she's committing tax fraud?

It's a gag among the fandom because writers said she's ok enough to pay taxes but she doesn't.

Come to think of it, I'm not even sure Dryl is a full kingdom. It's a single isolated castle in otherwise inhospitable mountains, inhabited by a single madwoman inventor and her constantly terrified support staff.

All the kingdoms are basically like that, most have maybe one town or a few villages and a big empty castle. It is basically the fantasy version of feudality.

Honestly, when Bow mentions his dads want him to go to university in the city, it felt really odd to me, because up to then, the world really didn't feel quite that advanced. It doesn't help that we never get to see said city, either.

Universities are a lot older than you probably think. The first universities started appearing in the late 1000s-early 1100s.

Oh, I know, I just felt like the setting didn't really allude to anything like that existing before that episode.

So anyone here aware of Legend of the Fire Princess? Haven't gotten it yet, but it's an original Graphic Novel tie in to the show.

I’ve read it, it’s pretty nice. Pretty evident though how it’s a cut episode from the show before they were allowed to be really open with gayness, so the backstory goes “the Fire Princess was very good friends with this other princess, then she got consumed by her thirst for power, and when she returned she found her friend had become friends with another woman, so she was very jealous of these friends…”

everything changed when the fire princess attacked the ice kingdom!

Also for all intents and purposes, the Avatar and She-Ra world must eventually cross paths with Captain Planet. I mean there has to be a kingdom or nation for Heart.
