No point in having a spoiler thread if they're all just going to be in spoiler tags anyway.

The Protomen enhanced my life.I found some spoilers but the fact they're all the same information repeated over and over with nothing new added leads me to believe it's from one possibly fake source and regurgitated as fact. This is the worst time to be a spoiler-hound.

This song needs more love.Star Wars movies tend to be movies you love the first two months after seeing it for the first time. The mark of an episode's quality lies in how long it takes before you start finding enough Fridge Logic in it to start disliking it.
"For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die."![]()
Episode II much shorter, like before the year was out. 2002 was a crowded blockbuster year, AOTC had many of TPM's issues, but without any of that hype. There are still pockets of fans who love TPM in a way they don't love AOTC — I mean, even I like parts of TPM looking back, and that immediatepre- and post-TPM marketing push was one of my favorite parts of the old EU.

"For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die."The call of the Spoiler Side unfortunately became too much to endure so I ended up reading them...And ooooooh boy, this film is going to break the base something fierce, and given the SW fandom, that should scare you.
I realize this thread is fine on no spoiler tags, but I figure this might be needed if you only came for minor spoilers.
To summarize:
- Rey is not a Skywalker or Kenobi and was the daughter of some junkers on Jakku who sold her so they could get a ship off-world. Given how much her origins were teased in TFA and people willing to give her the benefit of the doubt should she turn out to be have actual Jedi lineage, the Mary Sue labels are coming back tenfold
- Kylo kills Snoke midway through the film and takes leadership of the First Order. Fans hoping for more from Snoke like a backstory or for him to demonstrate more of his power are also pissed.
- Probably the biggest Base Breaker of them all: Luke apparently Force Projects himself to Crait and helps the Resistance fend off the First Order attacks and then has his physical body fade away or summat after a final confrontation with Kylo. Now, it's left ambiguous whether Luke actually dies or "ascended into the Force", but the fans interpretation is that Luke has died without ever seeing the Jedi Order fully restored or even a chance to reunite with Leia, rendering everything from the OT now completely pointless. And now the last remaining Skywalker given Leia won't show in Ep. IX is someone who at the end of the movie has fully fallen to the Dark Side and completely irredeemable at this point
To say the fans are white-hot livid right now would be an understatement. On the SW subreddits
alone
, you have people saying Rian Johnson just took a massive dump on the franchise for cheap shock value, that Lucas selling the franchise to Disney was a colossal mistake, and that the story implied from the spoilers alone has killed any enjoyment or investment in the franchise from now on.

The person those spoilers come from is noted to be unreliable and in one instance got one part totally incorrect (they say that Yoda is the one who convinces Luke to train Rey but the book I linked earlier says that it was the Leia hologram). A few people have tried to corroborate them but without sufficient proof that they were there.

This song needs more love. The problem is that the confirmation comes from suspect sources, as well. The original source, Pawn, was just some lawyer in a podunk Louisiana town who would never have gotten a ticket to the premiere. His supporter, Anon, showed a picture of a ticket for a premiere this coming Thursday and said he had already seen the film, but we can't confirm whether it's his ticket or just a ticket he pulled off a picture of from a twitter feed.
This entire debacle reminds me of this scene from Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
.

Hmm, I can understand if it's one person trying to troll the fans. But two and multiple people corroborating the spoilers lends some credibility.

Spoilers are slowly but surely leaking out so here's where we can talk about them freely.
