Poor Image: Monster.Sonic The Hedgehog

Personally while I feel like the image for the Sonic the Hedgehog page is pretty good, I feel it's not clear enough what's happening unless you look behind the villain. When the caption has to tell you what to do, I feel that's a sign that it's unclear. I will now present another image that could be used.

I feel like this image is more clear, then the image on the Monster page and is pretty high quality. If the same image will be kept, than I will put this as a possible Image Links for Video Games on the Complete Monster section.

I disagree, the villain having several characters mounted on the walls like hunting trophies (and looking dead) is very effective...that, and with the fuzzy graphics it's hard to tell who's being shot in the suggestion.

There's been a tendency in current Complete Monster pictures to show a single vicious act and not show the "Complete" part of Complete Monster; I prefer the current picture, even if it is a bit subtle. (I also think the subtlety of the current pic is overstated, but that's a separate issue.)

Current is fine, but I'd like a slightly more high quality rip since Dark Enerjak's dialogue is pretty blurry.

I'm fine with current. A higher quality version might be impossible to get, since the current version already has max image width (350p).

The one with Mephiles is a bit too poor. I don't get the same feeling from that one I would get from Sephiroth impaling Aerith. If we're looking at game villains, I would have to find something of Black Doom.

Edit: Misread this entire discussion. Willbyr was referring to the character that is already in the Sonic CM page, Dark Enerjak. I thought he was referring to Hunter, who I noted is also guilty of killing someone in cold blood in his appearance in the final Knuckles The Echidna comic and who commits genocide in his return years later.

Why wouldn't it be?

Though personally, I wouldn't claim to know whether it's one of the characters "Ken Penders" created or not. The Sonic comics are known to be a collaborative effort, so I'd be surprised if character creation was considered anything other than a collective achievement.

I'm personally thinking of Hunter now that Willbyr reminded me of him. He does check off quite a few boxes despite his limited appearances, including mass murder on a page.

Edit: Oops, thought Mephiles was the one on the page, rather than Enerjak. I vote down Mephiles, and I'm thinking we should stick with the image of Enerjak we already have or get one for Hunter. The latter IS a CM and a mod added him to the page earlier this year.

What's wrong with mine of Robo-Robotnik?

The suggestion is alright but I think it has a little too much text. The current is a little more illustrative. Although the caption bubble could be edited to be in a better quality.

I see what you were going for, but I think that version takes too much focus away from the character.

Personally, I think 6.2 is the best version of those panels, and the best out of all the suggestions here, however, the current pic is still best overall.

Given that I haven't seen a picture of Hunter or Dr. Finitevus, both of whom would fit as the page image, I'm leaning towards leaving the current pic alone.

Ok, I'm thinking let's stick with Enerjak as the character for the CM. Anyone else agree?

Enerjak works best, I think.

I'm going to vote no, and if I find something on Hunter or Finitevus, I'll start a new suggestion thread for the page.

Maybe it's time to close up shop on this and leave Enerjak where he is. I'm up for a threadlock.
