Yeah. I'd like to believe Charles did plan to tell her one day when he was sure she could handle it.

I mean, that's not something you can keep under wraps forever, especially from a telepath like Jean...even if you're the other strongest Telepath on the planet.

Mystique would make the most sense. She was the groups teacher in this reality and has the most ties all around to motivate conflict in everyone, Magneto included.

It would motivate Beast to join Magneto's brotherhood.

Also, is it just me or are the members of Magnetos's brotherhood really strange?

Red Lotus has kind of boring powers, but even more so The Black Queen just isn't a hench woman role.

I was fully expecting Magneto's brotherhood to be Psyloch and Angel both returning from Apocolypse, Quicksilver, and then maybe toad.

Yeah, the Brotherhood is just random people from the comics with little characterization besides two people.

They need to stop it with the Brotherhood then.

Also Magneto for that matter.

Don’t think that’s the Brotherhood but the Acolytes.

The rumor of one actress playing Lilandra was debunked.

Allegedly. Fox has been tight-lipped about what aliens are going to appear. Some folks have speculated we'd be seeing the Shi'ar, others assumed it'd be the Skrulls.

And now Dark Phoenix is getting pushed to June 2019? Highly suspicious...

Actually, isn't the Disney-Fox deal going to be finalized somewhere in the summer of 2019? Because if so, then maybe this is some kind of insurance in case something derails the finalization.

Or maybe Fox is worried that Happy Death Day 2U, a vastly smaller-budgeted horror flick also releasing for Valentine's Day 2019, will dethrone Dark Phoenix in the box office.

Oh. Well never mind the Shi'ar. In fact, we have ZERO idea who the aliens will be. For all we know, they could be the freaking Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

It's really not suspicious. They just announced reshoots, which were supposedly in response to bad test screening reactions.

I know people are hellbent on the conspiracy theory that Disney is secretly muscling Fox into cancelling the movie, but that is very unlikely.

Okay, maybe "suspicious" isn't the right word. But it's still strange that they delayed the movie after revealing the first trailer the other day...

New Mutants is still for August unless that gets delayed AGAIN.

I feel like I was more excited or interested for Phoenix when aliens were gonna be in it.

Now it’s just..... I don’t know more of the same.

That they already released a trailer makes it even less likely there is some secret pressure from Disney to not release the movie. Announcing a release date and a trailer/poster debut is kinda the exact opposite of not drawing attention to yourself.

Dark Phoenix wasn’t the only thing that got moved back. Alita which has been moved a couple of times was pushed to Dark Phoenix’s date because it was in a busy month. Fox didn't have anywhere else to put Phoenix but Gambit's old spot.

Btw, something came to mind:

This movies to be taking inspiration from the Morrison run. The suits, the way Phoenix looks, and Genosha seemlying getting destroyed.

Didn’t Cassandra Nova take over the body of a shape shifting alien that was connected to the Shi’ra in that run?

Smith might be Nova, since Mastermind is out.

I’m guessing she is Emma who wants revenge in Magneto for killing Shaw and finishing what he started.

Emma died though.

Did she? I thought they said she died off-screen, but Emma's a telepath. She could have easily faked her death.

I don't think Chastain is Frost, though, despite the white hair. I think it's far more likely that she's Cassandra Nova, which would pretty cool. Imagine Chastain taking off her wig halfway through the movie and revealing herself to be Charles' mummundrai twin.

She was used to make the Sentinels powerful with diamond skin.

Cassadra also died when she was in the womb with Charles. Death doesn’t always stop telepaths. Remember, that’s what happened with Professor X in X3.
