Unikitty (Now with 666% less sarcasm!)

So does anyone remember that pink...thing from The Lego Movie? Well guess what? She's getting her show on CN.

Sounds insane? Not yet, since the cast is her ultra-violent bodyguard, her somewhat incompetent younger brother, an scientist who is the glue that keeps everything together, an small morbidly depressed gray brick, and the titular princess. And together, they shall spread happiness, rainbows, comedy, chaos, and happiness so pure that we can only perceive it as something else.◊

It's supposed to hit the airwaves sometime next year, but CN has been showing previews of random episodes lately. I've only seen two, because I've missed tonight's since I was watching "Highway Thru Hell." But I'm quite confident that this won't be an disaster, like the show I was watching. After all, I couldn't stop laughing at the one where Unikitty was trying to cheer up the brick.◊

...And before I forget, the crew who makes TTG! has an hand or two in making this show.

I have heard about this and I am interested. I'm just worried it might have the Planet Sheen effect, and turn Unikitty into The Scrappy if it should do poorly.

EDIT: Okay, watching it myself, and while not amazing, I will admit that it's a lot better then I expected. It's kinda like a better version of TTG.

I had "some" doubts about this show, but once I saw an episode on Halloween, I can see it as the Anti-TTG where they at least act like loud annoying characters, but not at the expense of others feelings.

Just watched the Christmas episode.

While I'm not saying this is a bad thing, this show kind of feels more like a Disney XD show then a Cartoon Network show.

Why is every thread you start seem to have REALLY negative titles. Also I think there's already a Unikitty thread.

Aegis P, if you're only talking about my last few thread titles, you're kinda wrong there; since "BRING ON THE INSANITY!" is my version of an compliment. And the rest is from me admitting that I probably got the titles wrong.

The opening posts? Well since I figured that the mods hate threads that consists of an video or an article; and that posting one of these would render whatever I'm saying redundant. I figured that I just be myself and just post my usual brand of crap and post the evidence later if someone asks for it. Besides, I get bored just listing the shows nowadays, I want to outdo myself every now and then when it comes to topic creation.

So, I guess Unikitty is basically what would happen if the main protagonists were actually nice to each other?

As well as more charming, and didn't come from a source that would end up pissing off a fair amount of people with the reboot/spin-off.

I liked what I've seen of this show so far! It is perhaps a bit saccharine at times, but Unikitty is a character I like a lot. I'd like to see this show explore more of the Lego aspects of it than the more generic fantasy elements.

Well, Richard is pretty much a living Lego brick, so it would make sense if they have some gags about it. Maybe Unikitty somehow steps on him and has an over-exaggerated painful reaction.

Unikitty is a pretty fun protagonist. She really does play up the Cute and Psycho with the new CN bumpers.

So with the 3 or 4 leaked full episodes and the plot of at least 3 more episodes revealed by the previews, how long do you guys expect this show to last?

I mean, it's one thing to showcase something; but I feel that it's kind of weird to reveal an lot of stuff. It kills the suspense, in my opinion.

Agreed. On average, a show like this lasts 3-4 seasons.

A bunch of new eps were released. Just binged 'em myself. They were actually pretty decent, honestly. Some were funny and some were cute.

Also, I'll totally admit, I cracked up at Richard's reaction to the kitchen getting dirty all over again at the end of the kitchen episode.◊

From what I've caught - this show isn't too bad, so far. Nothing outright spectacular, but pretty hilarious in its own right.

It's at least enjoyable, which is a good sign. The idea just sounded kind of...awful from the get go, so for it to be anything above mediocre definitely is a plus.

I've really been getting into this show as of late. They've gotten into a groove, and there's a surprising amount of dark humor (granted, not on the level of Gumball or Gravity Falls, but it's still there). BTW, who's everyone's fav character? I like Richard just for his "only sane man(er, block)" schtick.

So, does anyone have any explanation for what Anger Kitty (Unikitty's "bad" alter-ego) is?

Already getting Screwed by the Network. Why are they giving Total DramaRama over 3 times the schedule space even with a fraction of the episode count?

I find it odd that the opening shows Unikitty being annoyed by Richard.

Occasionally that happens but far more often the episodes show Unikitty annoying Richard.

We got almost a whole month of new episodes in February.
