I think the description was being rewritten at Sandbox.Celebrity Paradox.

Yeah, that needs a little more work. The "It's important to note that, if actor-as-character-X exists in both Work X and Work Y, then it is not an example of this trope" bit must be clearer much earlier, for example.

Does the "celebrity" actually have to be a person?

(Most obviously, Doctor Who has to be set in a universe where a police box is just a police box, whereas in real life most Britons would recognise it as the TARDIS. This example is currently listed on the page.)

It's suggesting a police box has an acting role?

That's a bad example anyway, as "Work X does not exist as a fictional work within Work X" is basically universal. If we were troping those examples, the page would be gigabytes long.

We trope the inverse; "Work X appears in Work X" as Recursive Canon.

Hmm... This seems to be falling to the bottom a lot. Why is that?

We did swap the description, but now we need to clean the wicks. Also, the on-page examples need to be cleaned, and some of the subpages, such as Advertising, are small enough to be merged back to the main page.

I've merged all the subpages with fewer than 10 examples. Should any others be merged as well?

EDIT: Somebody sent CelebrityParadox.Fan Works to the Cut List, arguing that the trope cannot happen in that medium. Should we cutlist CelebrityParadox.Literature for the same reason?
