Going by the vague descriptions we get, I assume Moe slice of life, romance stories, general shoujo, and Magical Girl. My headcanon is that she's either asexual or gay since she's so hostile at first to the protagonist, and she thinks of the club as her home with the girls. I mean, if Yuri isn't paired with the protagonist, she seems to be set up with Natsuki.
Had it been a regular VN, Yuri and Natsuki would totally have been Those Two Girls.
Do not spare the feelings of those who would not spare yours.![]()
It wouldn't surprise me at all if that had turned out to be the case. As long as Sayori is there to keep the peace, I could totally see her and Yuri having a sort of Vitriolic Best Buds relationship or possibly Belligerent Sexual Tension.
Now I'm thinking of scenario where she finally manages to get Yuri to read some manga... only for Yuri to pick up something like Berserk or Made in Abyss.

Reaction Image RepositoryI note also that in one of the acts (Act Two, I think?), when the possibility of drawing in new members comes up, she says that "another girl would be nice this time".
As I've noted before, I'm inclined to somewhat agree with you there—my own headcanon is that she's gay or bi, and primarily interested in Yuri.
As to her being hostile to the protagonist, I think that with Natsuki that's more an indicator of interest, rather than a lack thereof—it's her defence mechanism against being vulnerable in any way. However, I also suspect that the game enforces that the girls fall for the protagonist, and thus that her interest in them doesn't necessarily speak to her unmodified inclinations.
(... I don't know enough about manga to really contribute much to the question of what the girls would like, beyond their already-expressed general preferences. ^^; )

My Games and Asset PacksWhen it comes to Natsuki x Yuri, when Mary Cagle
was doing her lets play she noticed the end of the game seemed to be setting them up together.
Or...it wasn't and it was the Anime variety of 2 females having a cute moment.

Do not spare the feelings of those who would not spare yours.Yah, pretty much that, it doesn't seem like it would be their whole thing though.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Not that I don't think you can read scenes any way you want, but there was nothing romantic in any of Yuri and Natsuki's interactions. They are entirely apprehensive towards each other, and making steps to connect doesn't mean it's romantic. It means they're building a friendship.
Like go you if you think that it would be great if Yuri and Natsuki are gay for each other, but it's not supported by the game at all.
Also we know all the girls are at least into guys because Yuri and Natsuki both have scenes where you're about to kiss and Sayori's whole thing is that she loves you but doesn't want to take your happiness away.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeThere's nothing explicitly indicating that they're romantically interested in each other, but—for me, at least—there's enough to suspect it in their various actions and reactions to each other, especially as compared to their actions and reactions to others.
As to the two of them being interested in guys, I'm not convinced that their interest in the protagonist is strong evidence in this context:
All of the girls fall for the protagonist. Now, that's normal for a romance visual novel, but in one as "meta" as this it's perhaps a little suspicious. In addition, there are suggestions that the game has some influence over events, both in Monika's musings and how certain events play out (such as the premature end to Monika's Act-two attempt at getting time alone with the player). Thus my own suspicion is that the game enforces the girls falling for the player-character, regardless of anything else.
None of this is particularly strong evidence, of course—there's a fair bit of interpretation, inference, and outright leaps, I feel. Still, it's enough for me to feel that there's space for suspicion, both of Yuri and Natsuki's interest in each other, and of their interest in the player-character not necessarily indicating an attraction to guys.
(I do think that Sayori has feelings for the player-character either way, however.)

My Games and Asset PacksAll the more power to you, but I'm just saying there's nothing in-game that even suggests that. Even in their shippiest interaction they're still fairly vitriolic towards each other... which really really is not a good sign of "is totally into the other person".
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeThe game itself casts suspicion over the first act. Monika's modified the game before it even starts, and we don't get a clear picture of what things are like without that influence. As such, deconstructing the scenario we're presented with is hardly unjustified.
In terms of compatability, they do have aspects that compliment one another. Yuri has a more conventionally attractive look that we do know Natsuki is somewhat envious of. Particularly in the light that she's been neglected and not fed enough in one iteration, and still implied in the first.
Natsuki likes more conventionally girlish things, and has something of a maternal streak with her love of baking. She's blunt and straightforward about what she likes, and is quick to lash out when others don't accept her.
While Yuri does not share the same interests. She has a fascination with horror and the occult, likes collecting knives for their own sake, and has the most defined sexuality out of the cast. But she masks her kinkier side with shyness and constantly questions herself.
With her upbringing, it's also not unreasonable to assume Natsuki prefers to be around other girls, given the most significant male figure in her life. And while her hostility at first toward the protagonist can be chalked up to her safety in the club, when the question comes up in act 2 about recruiting more members, Natsuki says she'd not mind another girl around.
You just can't make assumptions with these anime gals...
It's always too ambiguous...

What do you think Natsuki's taste in manga is?
