Oh gosh, this is so awesome. I wonder if it's going to be a more mature animated movie.
I've never seen a Wes Anderson Movie before, but this does look very interesting. I think my only complaint is that a couple of the Human figures look off to me (particularly the girl with the freckles).
I might go see it.
That's basically what the Fantastic Mr Fox (Wes Anderson's previous animated film) was. It was very much a film targeted more towards adults, and it was honestly pretty damn good so I have high hopes for this one too.
Given it's premise and mature feel, I wonder if it's going to get a cult classic when it comes out.
Looks interesting, though I'm a complete sucker for anything stop motion.
Is it really that hard for Japan to just spay every dog in the shelters and make sure that adopted ones also have to be spayed?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.As it's a stop motion film, it should go in the Western Animation namespace.
Also, I could've sworn I remember reading that Wes Anderson actually dislikes dogs, but I don't know where...
EDIT: Is it possible to snuff out the earlier page or is it stuck there?

Is it related to that dog death scene from his movie Moonrise Kingdom?
Either way this film is definitely going to be interesting. Really like the call back to Fantastic Mr. Fox in having all the animal characters (at least from what I gather in the trailer) be voiced by American actors and all the human characters (who are all Japanese) be played by Japanese actors to invoke the language barrier between humans and dogs.

I eagerly snarf down anything Wes Anderson (Grand Budapest is my current overall favorite movie, even) so yeah, I'm excited.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I have not seen Budapest, but I really like Mr. Fox and The Royal Tenenbaums. He has a really unique voice.
Some more news about this movie!
-It's going to be rated PG-13, which is very rare for a Western animated film.
-It will be released on March 23rd, 2018. Fox Searchlight Pictures will handle theatrical distribution.

You know, I wonder what the budget for this thing is. Fantastic Mr. Fox cost $40 million—should we expect this to be similar?
Yeah, that's definitely Fantastic Mr Fox writing. Rapid-fire and witty.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Rare for wide-release theatrical Western animated films. There are plenty of PG-13 rated Western animated films (namely WBA's DCAU films), but the majority of them are direct-to-video or are very limited runs.
Other than that, you can count the number of PG-13 wide-release theatrical animated films on two hands...
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (live-action/animation mix) (WFRR is actually PG)
Cool World (live-action/animation mix)
Beavis And Butthead Do America
Only half of those films were successful...and they were adaptations of existing properties, rather than original stories (though 9 was based on an Academy Award-nominated short...and it still was a flop). :/

has a clue, but it's usually not the correct one 0.55% of the time9 probably would've been successful if it had been made one decade earlier.
And yet that didn't save Fantastic Mr Fox...oh and that one was a Roald Dahl adaptation. Hmmmm
Luminous beings are we, not this crude matterThat is a travesty.
I am sure Fun-tastic Mister Focks did ALRIGHT and sold well after the theatrical release.
My angry rant blog!Yeah, it sold well. . . on DVD. Theaters were another story.
First trailer dropped just now:
As per usual for a Wes Anderson movie, we have an All-Star Cast, featuring:
What's it about?
Looks like good fun!
