So Smite is getting Cerberus later.
How many dogs do we have in MOBA, not counting wolves?
Well, VG got Fortress. Though tbh I'm quite crap playing him.
This land is peaceful, its inhabitants kind.. ∩(·ω·)∩ WAIT, is this supposed to be the mistress herself?Mobile Legends' Nana seems to fit the archetype but isn't actually NTF.
That seems to be a specific kind of character archetype that I do not expect to see much of in general. Just like non-wolf dogs.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!I played Strife a bunch last weekend. It turned out I missed it dearly Q.Q
How... crowded is it?
Queuing for both Europe and America, still not exactly stuffed. I think one time I waited 20 minutes, but I did get into one. A few other times were much better. You can find a game, but expect to have to alt-tab prior.
... This I gotta ask as I really still wonder.
Is Heroes Of Newerth... dead? I'm sure S2 hasn't pulled the plug. But it's been... very quiet. I just removed it from the 'Juggernauts' from the MOBA page (so now it's 'The Big Four'), but I haven't put it down to 'Shut Down'. But it may be on the way there... or not?
After almost a year, I had to necro here.
Looks like the one who's getting the mobile MOBA game throne is Arena of Valor. It has a pretty unique story too.
In 2015, Tencent was like this after getting Riot: "Hey, the mobile market is a potential gold mine. How about you make a mobile version of LOL?"
And Riot was like, "LOL, no."
And Tencent was like, "Fine! I'll just Start My Own mobile MOBA!"
So they made Honor of Kings or... any other translations of Wangzhe Rongyao, and implemented a lot of Chinese spirit over there, including many many Chinese figures in that game for a mobile game. And for the most part, it worked for the Chinese market, becoming the top selling mobile game in China.
And then Tencent began to set sights into the world... but then realized that an overly-Chinese game will not hit well with international stuffs. So they reformatted their heroes to have a medieval fantasy design more on Europe, add in some DC Heroes and, ta-da! Arena of Valor is born.
Also coming to Nintendo Switch.
That'd work quite well. If they want to be cool, they could make the base design and troops be dependent on the first player's mecha? (e.g. if Team A's first player's mecha is the Zeong, the shock troops will be Zaku and the cannon troop will be the Dom; plus their base will have a Zeon theme.)
