I feel like I'm one of the few people here that actually still like the show.
Also, according to rumors, and I quote, "Trigger admitted in their Anime Expo 2018 panel that they were not getting along well with Cloverworks/Koenji, especially with the planned approach to the series and the production project, and Trigger had to face having storyboards rejected by the producer and director.
Franxx was supposed to be 26 episodes long (which was not accurate since it has been listed for 24 episodes long ago), and the story had to be restructured after losing two weeks in delays (recap after ep15 and a week hiatus after ep20). Trigger eventually bowed out of the project, leaving most of the project to Cloverworks after Episode 15."
Honestly, I don't think so. Mostly because it would then be compared to Godannar and while it may just be somewhat rose-coloured glasses on my part I don't think it holds up all that well. Godannar is rather heteronormative in of itself (especially given its level of fanservice), I think it does do a better job in someways. For one it's a lot more open about Shadow and Luna's relationship, even if it does lean way too hard on the whole butch/femme dynamic and they are allowed to have an explicitly happy ending while the Russian team (names are escaping me at the moment) allow at least a token acknowledgement of variations of relationships within a heterosexual context.

I will say, one of my favorite moments was how in episode 15 Hiro straight out tells Zero Two that they need to actually speak and work out their relationship, while that was a thread left hanging, it did seem far more mature to how anime tends to handle relationships.
Yeah, that was certainly an unneeded part added just to create drama, not to mention that the book Kokoro picked up should have come with a warning about having babies when your body is still not ready.

Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.Nothing was more amusing than learning a couple years later L-Elfs descendant looks like his and Harutos lovechild because Haruto passed on his genes to L-Elf and it became a part of L-Elf DNA as he sucked alien vampire magic blood from the white haired human boy.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Hell, I honestly find Ange to be much more interesting as a character then Zero Two, as well. She's basically the Bastard Girlfriend archetype that Zero Two represents, except it completely backfires against her.
Watch SymphogearTusk is literally a vanilla Harem Protagonist, but in a supporting role rather than as the main character. I personally find this hilarious.
I think people got pretty annoyed too because the other 3 of Ange's romantic optionsnote were much more interesting.
Huh, according to the character page the series ended with Ange/Tusk/Hilda.
Maybe I missed something when I watched it?

It’s only funny if it’s a piss-take though like he repeatedly gets mocked or get the shit beaten outta him regularly.
The fact they actually go through with harem gags like constantly falling in Ange’s crotch seriously, even getting the girl in the end is alone why I refuse to watch the show.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Honestly, I still wish Sunrise would make another season of Valvrave, as I feel that it still has tons of potential for storylines in its universe. Plus, getting to see Saki again (who I feel is one of Sunrise's best heroines in recent years) would be neat.
Anyways, back on topic. For all its faults, I would still recommend Franxx to people, as it is still enjoyable overall imo. And Zero Two is still for my money one of the better heroines to come out of a mecha/romance anime in quite some time.

Wait I got the decade ago wrong.
I was thinking 2000’s not 2010’s.
