Yeah rule of perception is in play there. People assume that a school existing and the cast attending it means that they take the classes and therefore the writer could use it to omit that from the narrative, even though that has the effect of people thinking the school here is just set dressing. (and it very well could be)
Discworld is fun because despite having an earlier example of the Wizarding School, Unseen University is already a parody of the trope and avoids pretty much all of the clichés Red talks about in this video.
The school's main goal is to teach wizards not to use magic. All the characters of prominence we follow from UU are the faculty members; only one book (Moving Pictures) features a main character who is an UU student. And there is zero teaching involved in the university, because the faculty likes to avoid students as much as possible.
In today's video, Blue talks about the complete history of Rome:
In today's Detail Diatribe, Red and Blue talk about Tears of the Kingdom:
Ahh, been waiting for this one, Red mentioned this being in the works in her Tears livestreams a few times.
Edit: Having watched it now... Even though this was fun, as most detail diatribes are... A lot of it is Red repeating things she's already said earlier, multiple times. There is something charming about how they just hit record and go, just talking excitedly, gushing about whatever they're talking about... But this didn't need to be an hour and a half.

In today's History-Makers, Blue talks about the Four Evangelists:
If spoken storytelling was good enough for the ancient rhapsodes of classical Greece, then we shouldn't be surprised when the same tools get put to use in the later Greco-Roman world. And I think that's pretty damn cool.
In today's Trope Talk, Red talks about the Tone Armour:
Hey, guys, can you help me remember something? Red at least has gone on record as not liking the Percy Jackson series, right?
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. In today's Detail Diatribe, Red and Blue are talking about the One Final Scene of Uncharted 4:

To compared to DB for a bit. It really sis the BDK dirty making him the Bumbling Dad.
On that note I assume that Chichi was based off miss Iron Fan here? I don't recall any older women in her family and her "kinda Tsundere rival turned Goku's wife" and her personality in DBZ does seem to line up with Iron Fan warming a little to Wukong and her dynamic with her husband taking into the count the context changes
Related note, did someone attempt writing a Xianxia novel centered on her? That seems like some prime story material right there!

Not really, not everything in Dragon Ball is based on Journey to the West. The thing about Journey to the West is that it has a lot of difference story arcs and not every viewers would remember them all, some take inspiration from this part while other take inspiration from the other parts. The iconic aspect of Iron Fan Princess is the Iron Fan. The iconic part of The Bull Demon King is that he is a giant Bull and was Son Wukong sworn-brother.
In today's History Hijinks, Blue has a sequel to his first Dumb Italian Stories-video

I assure you, I'm perfectly trustable personIn today's Trope Talk, Red talks about the small mammal on a big adventure:

Strixhaven University in Magic: The Gathering is another example that plays with that formula. Each of its five Colleges specializes in magic's applications in real-world fields (Lorehold is history/achaeology, Prismari is art, Quandrix is mathematics, Silverquill is communications, and Witherbloom is biology/medicine). For example, Lorehold studies history by raising the spirits of historical figures.
