Captain America knew just who had the upper hand, and also knew that he wasn't likely to win this in a straight fight. In which case, why bother having a fight at all? "You're right," he said. "You are powerful enough to 'kick my ass.' But while I honestly don't know a lot about the situation, I'm under the impression that you've just accomplished what you set to do. So, seeing as you've done just that, this doesn't need to go on any longer, does it? Why don't you just let the hostages go, and then we can all go our separate ways?" As Cap was busy trying to talk Meteor Man down, he quickly scanned the Science Hall, searching for anything that could help him take this crook out.
And then Tabatha set him up the bomb. Or bombs in this case.

Wonder Woman looked up at the lamp post as the self proclaimed Spider-Woman landed on it. That name did explain the web patterns all over her clothing, and she was fairly sure that a normal human was not that agile.
“There is no wrestling or law breaking happening here, we were merely sparring,” she said. Angela had fixed the broken fire hydrant anyway, so she didn't see any issue. “You are… a vigilante correct?” She knew that some people on Earth had abilities that gave them an advantage over others, or at least were capable of achieving the same thing with technology. Some abused their power to do as they wished, but others turned to assisting those in need, working outside the law to battle criminals.
Maybe if she hadn't been speaking at the same time, Wonder Woman could have sensed the spear coming at her fast enough to react to it, but it was too late now. The spear tip slammed into her, knocking her forward and completely past Spider-Woman and Angela with the sheer force it was thrown with. She hit the concrete hard and came to a stop, the spear actually embedded into her shield she placed on her back a minute ago. It had almost pierced through the bronze material, but only left her with a painful bruise as she tried to stand up again.
“Starting a fight like that is dishonorable,” she said, catching her breath. That could have seriously injured someone if it had hit the wrong target. She jerked the spear out of her now pretty much useless shield and looked around to see who had thrown it.
New York Downtown - Angela
"You gaze upon an Angel, tiny Midgardian," Angela said curiously to the strange pink-and-white creature clinging to the metal stick of light. She had called herself Spider-Woman, but she had four limbs like any other person, and didn't seem to have a body like a spider either. In fact, the only thing vaguely spider-like about her was the emblem drawn on the front of her chest.Any continuation of that riveting conversation would have to wait, though, as someone had chosen that moment to attack the princess of the Amazons with a thrown spear.
"I not know what reason you have for starting this quarrel!" she shouted in the direction the spear had come from, pulling her sword out and holding it up. "But you have made a grave mistake, coward!"
Street
"There is no dishonor in war. Only winning matters" a familiar woman's voice answered Diana. "But you would know that, if you had accepted to follow in our grandfather's steps... dear sister."
And then, a blond muscular woman in armor
stepped out into view, smiling a sadistic grin at the three gathered heroines.
Museum
"Yeah, right!" the villain responded to Captain America. "Like I don't know you hero types! You have no intention to let me go, you just want me to lower my guard! Well I'm not leaving without all of the exhibit's meteorites now, so you both can AAAAHHH!!!" he shouted, as Boom Boom's bombs went POPOPOPOP all around him. (Despite his powers, he pretty much still reacted like a normal man. And not a particularly brave one at that.)
"Someone has to pay for that fire plug. And the broken pavement" Gwen said, still surprised that the women in front of her were so nonchalant about the situation. This day was off to a great start but Wonder Woman still didn't quite get what Gwen's role was.
"I'm actually a superhero"
The redhaired woman, on the other hand, was a bit more aggressive and tried to insult Gwen. At least the first part was an insult, the second one was something she really didn't understand but it sounded a lot like 'midget' so it clearly wasn't a good thing.
"Tiny what?!"
Before Gwen could get a chance to show the supposed angel how wrong she was, a spear came out of nowhere and hit Wonder Woman. Yet another muscular woman joined the party—there were a lot of those running around here for some reason—and claimed to be her sister. Regardless of details, this was all kinds of wrong and Gwen couldn't stand still while these three women were all too eager to wreck the street.
"I don't know what kind of soap opera subplot I just walked into" she said, shooting webs at Artume "But you are going to jail, lady!"
New York City-Downtown
"A-artume..." Wonder Woman was momentarily stunned by the newcomer's appearance. It had been almost a year since Wonder Woman had last seen her sister, back when they fought each other on Themyscira. Artume had disappeared again after that, too beholden to Ares to listen to reason.
She'd usually have agreed with Spider-Woman that Artume definitely needed to be handled, but this would not be an easy task. She looked conflicted, but when Spider-Woman shot her webs, Wonder Woman lunged at Artume as well, sword out. She didn't have a desire to hurt her, but Artume would give her no other choices.
"You've come to kill me for my title again?" she asked, taking a few swings at her. "Whatever grandfather has been telling you is nothing but his manipulation. You are his tool!" Maybe after being defeated, she would come to her senses and stop this madness.

Rose, Hall Of Science, Out Of The Frying Pan...
He was distracted. Her plan with the vine had failed, but there was at least something she could do. She beckoned to the other hostages and motioned to the hole left by Boom-Boom with a jerk of the head. She moved slowly and quietly towards it, hopefully being followed by the rest of the hostages, and began to run.

As Rose ran away from the Hall, her instincts lead her to familiar streets, heading towards one of the landmarks in her life, her place of work, the florist. And then she screeched to a halt, watching a muscly woman she didn't recognise get impaled by a spear. Or not impaled. She seemed okay. Rose watched, wide-eyed, as the spear-thrower revealed herself. She looked at the odd group, and beyond that, to the relative safety of the florist. She recognised one of the members, Spider-Woman. Apart from that...
Rose, don't.

"Superhero....?" Angela muttered. "She is another of your Amazons? I would like to fight another of your kind," she said. "...and Dark Elves. I would like to fight Dark Elves while I am in your Worlds." Smiling, she ran with her sword held out....And then, oddly enough, some girl ran towards them begging them to cease. She got her wish, momentarily, as the Angel was forced to halt her charge. She may not know the human, but it would probably be bad form to run over an innocent just moments after agreeing to assist Diana in guarding them until she could return to her home.
"For what?" she called at the girl. "Nothing for nothing, what price do you pay?"

This was his chance. He had no idea how she did it, but that girl gave Steve the opportunity he so desperately needed. With the Looter distracted, he rushed him and did the one thing he knew would take him out, or at least make him drop his Shield: A swift kick to the nards.

The villainous amazon found herself suddenly stuck in some kind of spider-silk's net. "Eh, what is this??" she angrily gasped. Seeing her hated sister lunging at her, she made use of her superhuman strength and ripped herself free from the 'net' in time to avoid the attack. She also noticed that yet another strange female suddenly appeared.
"Oh no, it won't be so easy!" she snarled. ''To me, My Bacchae!"
Suddenly, several more rough-looking amazonian-type warriors, all armed with various types of wicked-looking ancient weapons, sprung forth from the shadows of the surrounding alleys, and began attacking the heroines!

Tabitha shot Cap two thumbs up.
"Nice job, man."
She turned around to shout at the girl shouting at them "Don't worry! Turns out if you kick him in the balls and throw explosions at him, he goes down easy!"
She turned back around to Cap and poked him in the arm. It wasn't soft and spongy like styrofoam, so at the very least his muscles were real.
"So, are you really Captain America, or just some super buff cosplayer?"

"The one and only," said Steve. He picked up his shield before slamming it down on the edge of the Looter's sleeve. If he was lucky, that might help pin him down for the time being until they got the police over there. "Name's Steve Rogers. Yours?" He opened up his palm, gesturing a handshake.

As expected, Artume tore free of her web bonds and dodged Wonder Woman's first attacks, but before she could attempt another, a red headed girl tried to stop them. Unlike Spider-Woman, she didn't look like she was a hero or had any kind of abilities. Artume quickly evened her odds of winning by calling in reinforcements, and Wonder Woman was once again caught off guard. She couldn't believe that Artume had swayed this many people to join with her, but she would not allow them to do as they pleased in this city. She sheathed her sword and fell into a martial arts stance. Her regular weapons would not help much when it came to a group of trained warriors, and she still had her lasso to work with.
"Those are Amazons, Angela. It seems you'll have your chance to fight some after all." She glanced back at Rose. "This is too dangerous for normal citizens, go back to someplace safe!" With that, she threw herself at Artume again, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks at her. If she could at least keep Artume busy, Spider-Woman and Angela could fight her Bacchae on fairer terms.

Tabitha's eyes widened when Cap asked for her name, and they somehow widened even more when he held out his hand.
She hesitated, then grinned and shook it.
"I'm Boom Boom. Yeah, I know, but it's better than Tabitha. I thought about calling myself "Time Bomb," but Boom Boom's what stuck."

"'Boom Boom' it is," said Steve. "Anyway, we need to turn this fella over to the police, but after that, why don't we do whatever it is people do nowadays? Have coffee maybe? I mean, we just helped take down a Supervillain together. The least I can do is get to know the person I fought with. Nothing wrong with that."
The truth was, Steve did want to get to know her. Rather, he wanted to know where in blazes her parents were and why they were letting a 15 year old go around blowing up holes in museum buildings. Nevermind how she got her powers. Still, chances were she wouldn't react well if he just up and asked her on the spot. Better to gain her confidence, gain her trust. After that, he could go from there. Baby steps.

Artume, as Wonder Woman called her, got rid of the webs pretty quickly. Obviously she wasn't a simple thug and there was bad blood between both women.
Before Gwen could exercise her role as a superhero and pull off an amazing plan—which would probably involve more webs, anyway—Artume called out reinforcements and a bunch of women came out of the shadows.
"Oh wow, you have ninjas!" As strange as it was, Gwen couldn't help but feel excited about seeing people that had superpowers like that.
But the excitement couldn't last forever as a girl showed up on the street and tried to stop the fight. With Angela being of no help and asking for payment before putting her life out of harm's way, Gwen decided to step in and take Rose away from the fight. And just in the span of a few seconds, she was already landing on top of a nearby building while holding Rose.
"I appreciate the effort but right now you are one of the innocents that could get hurt" Gwen said, letting go of Rose so she could see she was safe. People tended to freak out by travelling like that and suddenly being five stories from where they had started so it was better to let her enjoy solid ground as soon as possible.

It was entirely possible he was going to try and turn her back in to the foster system or something, but Tabby figured that if she got away once, she could get away again. And hey, what kind of asshole turned down free food with Captain freaking America?

"Of course," said Steve. Luckily for him, SHIELD had been giving him a weekly stipend until he got back on his feet. Mind you, this wasn't for free, seeing as they still called him in for the occasional mission, but if Uncle Sam (no, not that Uncle Sam, God bless his soul,) said jump, you said how high. In any event, he had dough, and he wasn't afraid to use it. "There's a swell little place just a couple of blocks south. Darn cafe was still open back when I was punching Hitler in the jaw. It's been refurbished a bit, but it's still got that charm to it." He then started to walk towards the exit, leaving his shield behind lest the Looter go running off to who knows where. "Anyway, I'll go talk to the boys in blue and explain the situation, and then we'll be off."

"So how's New York?" came in Nat on her phone.
"You wouldn't believe... it lives up to, well, everything, big beautiful and busy, the seminars have been pretty good too" responded young Riri
"That sounds good, very you, have you done some sight seeing?"
"I've only been here a couple days, I'm taking it slow" Said Riri, kicking back on her bed
"Slow huh? how about some sight-seeing?" Asks Nat a complicit smile almost audible
Riri looked at the jetpack and boots charging in the corner and cracked a smile "Not yet but I wouldn't miss it, have you seen this up close? Its really worth the risk"
"Nope, I expect pictures though"
"You got it, glad I modified the helmet to put in a camera"
"So what else do you have on the docket, 'sides flying around?"
"well, I do wanna take a look at the museums, Mo MA, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space, and of course..."

Of all days Riri could really had picked a better one, she was in the middle of browsing the hall's numerous exhibits, both for personal research, relaxation, and inspiration when Meteor Man struck. She managed to slip away from the hostage taking and ducked behind an exhibit. "time to work" she said pulling out Detektiv 1 and booting it up with her tablet. The drone whizzed up and over ready to strike... when both the explosive Boom Boom lady and CAPTAIN AMERICA showed up. Riri simply sat back, recorded, keeping the drone away from conflict, and had to physically restrain herself from playing "When Captain America throws his mighty shield"(from the old tapes) at full volume as the encounter resolved itself. As the good Cap went over to talk with the police she flew D1 over to him.
"I can help you with that" she said through the speakers in Detektiv 1, trying her best not to geek out or squee over the fact she was speaking to Captain America, or at least an extremely convincing look-alike "I have the whole thing recorded and it would be an honor to assist."

"Does no one on Midgard respect conversation!?" Angela shouted as more of the Amazons appeared, and the Spider-Woman absconded with the other girl. She picked up a newspaper vending machine from the sidewalk with her left hand, ripping the base right out of the concrete it was bolted to.Cracking her neck as she turned, she threw the metal contraption with great force at the nearest of the Bacchae.

In an instant, Cap put his guard up, his eyes becoming steely as he observed just what in blazes this metal... ball... thing was supposed to be.
"Uh, ahem," he said, "I appreciate it, but I'd also appreciate having someone to actually talk to. In person. Look, I'll be honest with you here. The only time I've seen something like this is back when I stormed Arim Zola's lab in '44, and it wasn't exactly friendly. So if you could just come out from wherever you are, I'd feel a lot more comfortable."

The Bacchae Angela struck went down for the count. Wising up, several others targeted her with ranged weapons such as arrows instead.
Meanwhile, their leaders exchanged mighty blows with Diana. While the heroine seemed faster and better trained, her foe had a savage doggedness that kept her in the fight.
New York City- Downtown
Artume's will to keep going was impressive, and in any other circumstances, Diana would have complimented her on it. At the moment, it was only serving to drag their fight out. For every hit Wonder Woman got on her, Artume somehow found a way to sneak in a counterattack. She'd already taken a few less than honorable blows that would definitely leave some more bruises. Frustrated, she jumped back and put a few feet of space between them.
"Are you really this determined to prove you are better than I am?" she asked. Her hands were already on her Lasso of Truth as she looked for the right opening to use it. "You are letting jealousy and vengeance consume you. I know you're better than this, Artume!"

So that was why he wanted the meteor. And she had just given him a major power boost.
She glanced up at the wall behind him. Maybe...
"Hey, Meteor Man! Catch!"
She tossed a handful of bombs the size of marbles at him.
