This looks like a newly launched trope. Looking at the YKTTW archive, it's been in the trope launcher for years but was suddenly revived and launched within the past couple of months.
Looking at the description, I'm not sure what it's trying to be. It claims to be combining the symbolism of Red (vibrancy, hot-blooded) and Yellow (happiness) to create something in between. Overall, the trope description sounds like "It's a Red trope... but not really" or "it's the Hot-Blooded trope... but not really".
Already, I can see the example list is just 'this character wears orange' — a concern I notice was raised in the YKTTW but which seems to have been ignored.
Should this trope have been launched? Perhaps there is a trope related to orange symbolism in works that can be created, but I am not at all sure this trope description is doing that — it just seems to be an attempt to justify why it's not an already-existing 'red' trope, putting it into The Same, but More Specific territory.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.
