One thing I can say for certain, Tom Petty's gonna be stuck playing on a loop in my head for months lmao
Also interesting choice of song overall. Lyrics are about a relationship that decidedly isn't working out despite Tom's best efforts — maybe one of the themes of the story is Jason and Lucia's relationship straining due to the stress of the criminal life?

I'm 99 percent sure that is going to be the main plot of this game, yes. That song is rather blatant foreshadowing, now you mention it, which reinforces my prior comments on said plot.
Me too, and not just because the relationship struggle angle bores me already. We already did that with Michael and Trevor's bromance, why do it again?

Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesThe mud-wrestler girl with the American flag bikini is already shaping up to be an Ensemble Dark Horse, especially on /v/ and Twitter.

From the cherry, to the apple, to the peach, to the plumSo the previous games had those unmarked "stranger" missions that you could find throughout the world by exploring, and V upped the ante by making some specific to certain characters. Which, combined with some utterly deranged twitter post I saw by some paranoid alt-right type claiming the game is "woke" because Lucia "looks trans" (I know, drama importation, don't worry I won't go further), caused an idea for one of those missions to pop into my head.
Lucia's minding her business, passes a public restroom, and there's some crazy person "standing guard" to make sure that no "suspicious characters" get in. Their paranoia and bigotry grows more obvious and deranged with every subsequent encounter, until in the final one they accuse her of being "one of them" based on some truly Insane Troll Logic and subsequently get their ass beaten and/or killed for it.
Like, maybe a bit on the nose, but V had a stranger mission chain that ended with you saving a group of illegal immigrants from being killed by a neo-confederate redneck and his Russian nazi friend, so I think it fits

Seeing the reaction of certain sorts online towards the trailer has convinced me that my generation has officially become the "boring adults." Waaay too many in my circles that got started with GTA III and even knew about the hookers or joked about how the "Hot Coffee" controversy was absurd now all of a sudden are worried Rockstar might take things too far this time.
Digital Foundry uploaded a video analyzing the tech used in the 1st trailer of GTA VI.
Judging from the trailer, we might be getting a 30 FPS experience, like with Red Dead Redemption II and the 7th and 8th gen versions of GTA V (and the "fidelity" mode of the latter's 9th gen re-release). Though, I would be surprised if GTA VI will also receive a 60 FPS "performance" mode later on. IMO, I don't mind a 30 FPS framerate cap as long as there's smooth gameplay.
Sadly we probably won't ever see Tommy's character again due to Ray Liotta (his original VA) passing away a few years back.
And even if they did bring him back... Rockstar is notoriously brutal with their returning characters and their fates. Can't imagine an 80's drug kingpin having any sort of positive outcome.

I'm talking characterization wise tho.
Tommy Vercetti is the first GTA protagonist with actual character, motivations and backstory. Had all sorts of depth to him despite being a psychotic convicted killer.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"On the subject of returning characters, could you imagine if some characters from GTA V's Online mode were brought back in GTA VI? I think they could bring back KDJ and Sessanta from the Los Santos Tuners update as Strangers & Freaks-type characters that would give Lucia or Jason street race missions. During one of their phone conversations, Jason or Lucia would tell KDJ and Sessanta to shut up, poking fun at the characters' unpopular reputation with GTA Online players.
"Could you two pipe down with your dirty talking? I'm trying to concentrate. I don't even know how the people you worked with in Los Santos managed to tolerate you."

Youtube search seems to be a bit wonky anyway. I was searching for "bonfire" last week, and it refused to show me anything but pre-recorded fireplace and campfire videos.
Tommy would be born before around 1964, maybe as early as 1950 (he's not really a young man in the games, right?), so he would be at least as old if not older than Michael or Trevor (and remember that that game was 10 years ago, so add 10 more years to that age in V).
Tommy would be a pensioner around now.
The gameplay for this game is likely still being polished/tested at this stage.

Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesYes, and that assumption is about 20-25 percent, based on past GTA games. People who bought GTA V are likely to want to buy VI, so this is a pretty straightforward prognosis. This would be the baseline to see how well the game is actually doing.
The number is so high because V has been very successful.

I don't expect a PC port of GTA VI to be released until like a year or two after its initial release on consoles.
I remember when we had to wait about a year and a half before the PC version of GTA V came out, which was based on the enhanced PS4 and Xbox One versions rather than the original versions on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Nope. It's relatively flat all over, with rolling hills and none of the rugged features of a mountainous area.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.
