Yay its a little disheartening that We FINALLY head back to Vice City and Tommy won't be there...

Granted I could see them pulling that the majority of the story is an in Tribute aftermath. IE Lucia and Jason come into town just in time for the Criminal version of a Game of thrones cause Tommy finally kicked the bucket... They should make it something outrageous...

Tommy is suppose to be the Tony Montana that "Won" and from every little tidbit we got from the other Games Tommy basically was the unchallenged King of Vice City every time the place came up.

I feel like that could be a part of the story, trying to figure out how Tommy Vercetti fell out of prominence.

No one said that Tommy won't be there. But remember, he's a pensioner now.

Maybe they can turn him into an expy of an existing Florida politician or real estate mogul or billionaire. Options galore.

Hey, is Donald Love going to be president in this game?

It seems interesting that they picked 2025 for release, well after the elections. I wonder whether they would change some things based on that.

Ngl I love Kyle Mac Lachlan and seeing Love back as Big Bad could be cool.

Over a year left to the release, do you think this will win The Game Awards' Game of the Year 2025? And by how much?

Who knows, man? We barely know anything about the game, how is anyone supposed to know?

I don't think so.

And besides, there's a chance that the game might get delayed to 2026. Delays happened with GTA IV and GTA V, so GTA VI will probably get delayed too.

The man who, to this report, “went viral as the Florida Joker” a few years ago has threatened to sue Rockstar Games, alleging that a weird-looking character in the trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 is based on his likeness. “That’s me,” he said while showing a picture of the character. “GTA, we gotta talk. Or no, you gotta give me like a mill or two…. Y’all took my likeness. Y’all took my life.” Two million might actually be be a reasonable demand for a misappropriation-of-likeness claim involving GTA 6, if it could be proven. Here, I would expect the Florida Joker to recover approximately zero percent of that amount.

Didn't Roger Clark, Arthur Morgan's voice actor, said his lawsuit is useless and it will better if he accept his recent fame to the public for his advantage. Plus, Lindsay Lohan tried to sue once for GTA V and lose.

I'm not sure how "misappropriation of likeness" works, exactly, but from what I gather "this character reminds me of a celebrity" isn't enough to count as a likeness. And there's also the right to parody, of course.

South Park gets away with a lot more on that front than GTA ever does, so I don't think he has a case.

Obviously no hard evidence, but saying it's for "productivity reasons" can of makes it seem like they're trying to enforce some kind of crunch.

I think it's the crunch, yeah. I would have said it sounds reasonable for finishing a product, but knowing the video games industry, this can only be bad news, really.

Kotaku is reporting that while launch is planned for early 2025, there's enough internal delay to suggest they may be thinking of delaying it until 2026.
