…You know, Asta's VA actually sounds perfectly fine when he's not yelling. Problem is, his character is yelling 90% of the time. That's a bummer. Though I feel like he's starting to control his organ a little better. Let's hope he'll continue to improve. Episode 3 and 4 were decent − they had good humor at least.
Speaking of humor, Shobitch continues to be funnier that it has any right to be.
The first couple of minutes of Imouto sae Ireaba Ii are different from the rest of the show. It's still very trashy afterwards, but nowhere near that level. If you don't care about spoilers: What the audience sees at the beginning is the imouto-obsessed protagonist's latest light novel pitch. His editor predictably rejects it and the "real" plot starts.

Dies Irae. pretty fitting....for the prologue, at least.
And he hates Umaru chan because he hates Umaru as a stereotype.

Watch SymphogearShobitch Episode 3: The Root of Evil. Turns out the mom is every bit as weird as her daughter… and the 30° gag made me laugh.
Though the boke-tsukkomi routine is getting a tad predictable, mostly because of the male MC I think… Shinozaki reminds me of Asahi, except he has none of the subtle character traits and flaws that made Asahi interesting. He's just kinda… there. I'm afraid this show's formula is gonna get old before long.
OK, so we're past three episodes for most anime this season, but despite listing on Random Curiosity
some shows I planned to watch, it seems that there are some shows that I had to drop (and some potential new pickups)...and I wanted to get this revised seasonal anime viewing list out of my system.
Still following:
- Love Live! Sunshine!! Season 2 - Totally enjoyed Dia's Day in the Limelight, can't wait to see the next episode focusing on
YoshikoYohane and Riko. - Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou / Girls' Last Tour - I guess this show's easier to digest than Kino's Journey (see below), mainly because of the lack of hangups on whether it's a "reboot" or "continuation" that might require me to watch the first season.
- Netojuu no Susume / Recovery of an MMO Junkie - Amusing inversion of the G.I.R.L. trope with Moriko, while Yuuta plays it straight. And then there's a couple of side characters ("Kanbe" and "Lilac") who would make a nice Beta Couple. Waiting on the reveal of what caused Moriko to leave her job.
- Two Car - Still a bit of a slow burner at this point since the show's still introducing the rival sidecar racing teams (with the occasional yuri subtext on the side). Also, this show might rival the Love Live! franchise for having an Improbably Female Cast—with the exception of Coach
TakumiTanahashi (who even then is treated as The Faceless). Though I can't wait to see some actual sidecar racing. (Eurobeat optional.) - Cinderella Girls' Theater - A nice little appetizer in between episodes of Love Live! Sunshine!!, though episodes with Mika, Ranko, Anastasia, Rin, and Uzuki are always a plus.
(Possible) Late Pickups for marathoning:
- Imouto sae Ireba Ii / A Sister's All You Need - Despite the Hype Aversion for anime with the word imouto in the title (or hell, any anime that involves a Little Sister Heroine in its plot), this show got my attention thanks to a character who appeared in a recent episode (episode 4 as of this post)—Ashley Oono. Damn, she's like a more mature Elf Yamada who's also a tease! And she's voiced by Manami Numakura.
- Animegataris - I've heard good things about this series' fourth-wall breaking metahumor and it might be similar to last season's Gamers 2015. (Minus the Love Dodecahedron of misunderstandings, I assume.)
- Blend-S - Though perhaps I'll only watch this after finishing both seasons of Is the Order a Rabbit?.
Dropped (may marathon later):
- Kino no Tabi / Kino's Journey - I feel like I have to watch season 1 first before jumping into this show, reboot or not.
- Boku no Kanojo ga Majime Sugiru Shobitch na Ken - Mainly because of the botched subtitles in episode 1. They're a headache to read. (And I haven't even seen the ecchi trashiness of this series yet.) I might wait for better subs to come out once the show's finished its run before marathoning it.

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."Might as well do my three-episode impressions too. I will be getting super busy for a long while so I need to prioritize, and I'll be archiving a lot of shows:
Will continue:
- Animegataris: Fun Shout-Out-heavy reminiscent of an older style of comedy anime about anime geeks geeking out about anime. And our poor protagonist who gets jostled around by them. Plus, we haven't hit the hypothetical plot upswing/swerve, even though it's already at four episodes! They even discussed the three-episode thing, so why keep us hanging?!
- Sho-bitch: Because when I'm dog-tired from work I can really only watch crap like this.
- Imouto sae Ireba ii: Similar to the above, but this one comes with the promise of characters with actual depth. They're focusing too much on the MC's siscon fetish, but otherwise the cast is fairly likable.
- Fate/Apocrypha: Might as well get it over with. Won't take up too much time what with me skimming over the boring parts (coughSiegcough) anyway. Hopefully we get back to Mordred and Sisigo and the cool fights.
- Houseki no Kuni: Loving the strange world and the strange creatures that inhabit it. Especially when it's discussed how the moon people, jellyfish people and gem-people are descended from people people. The CG animation is actually damn slick too!
- Inuyashiki: Astro-gramps makes my day. Even more once he finally manages to sock a certain sociopath in the face.
- Love Live!: For the zura and yohane and yosorou. A bit more episodic than S1 was but still just as adorable.
- Kekkai Sensen: Life's always thrilling in Hellsalem's Lot. Really liking the focus on several characters who got less screentime in S1.
- Just Because!: I'll spare you the obvious joke. This one's a keeper for anyone into romantic dramas of the Love Dodecahedron variety where the arrows in the flowchart consists mostly of one-way loves.
- Juuni Taisen: Good ol' battle royale fun.
- Net-juu no Susume: Let's just say we're getting to the really fun part and I'd hate to miss the fireworks.
- SSR: My go-to relaxation anime for the cour.
- The Ancient Magus' Bride: It's beautiful and soothing. It will be rewarding to see Chise break out of her shell.
- Yuuki Yuna - Washio Sumi: Shit went down. Foregone Conclusion it may be, it's still sad. More interested in the latter half, though.
- Welcome to the Ballroom: Because sports anime can make (almost) any activity tantalizing. The gorgeous character designs help a lot, especially the girls who are outright sexy (and the men are buff too for those wanting some manservice).
Archiving
- 3-gatsu no Lion: Remains a masterclass of character introspection and coming-of-age tale, though perhaps predictably so. It's entering an arc which in my opinion will be better binged, so there.
- Children of the Whale: Thinking about shifting to the manga for this one. Want to know more about the story but the anime feels like it's just the manga with added color and sound and does almost nothing to really adapt it to the medium, especially when it comes to the hefty exposition.
- Mahoujin Guru-guru: Need to stock on comedy shows to ensure a varied backlog. This one just keeps getting funnier especially now that the Hero has a (legitimately powerful) Cool Pose attack.
- Blend S: Another comedy to archive. The accidental sadism hasn't worn itself out yet, which is neat.
- Kino no Tabi: On par with the original, which I've already watched.
- Himouto Umaru-chan R: On the verge of dropping this, actually. It's not bad, per se, but it's hardly a standout among contemporaries. One season feels like enough.
- My Hero Academia: Excellent refinement of action shonen, but I'm already reading the manga.
- Youkai Apartment no Nichijou: T'is okay.
Dropping
- Dies Irae: Plainly do not care about what's happening.

I never actually thought I would say this but Sho-bitch would be better if it didn’t have the bouncing and panty shots in the OP and cutaways, it comes off as way out of place when the show is more innuendo, misunderstandings and jokes.
It would have been a lot better just going with something more along the lines of Seitokai Yakuindomo.

I'm guessing it's some kind of technical glitch when the subtitles were being added. (And of course, the one fansub group that just grabs the official stream's subs probably didn't do quality control and take that subtitle glitch into account...)
Well, at first I couldn't find confirmation that the new season of Kino's Journey is a indeed a reboot. (One check on MyAnimeList later
... OK, so it is a reboot.) Not to mention the burning question of "Is it faithful to the light novel?", in which case, I'll wait for light novel fans' reactions before deciding to pick it up again for a marathon.

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."

I'm watching episode 2 right now and It's here i see the flaws in adapting the King's Game manga this way. Using flashbacks to tell us what happened in the first King's Game is a neat way to provide backstory and catch the audience up, but in the context of the death game show it's just using a Foregone Conclusion to pad out the current story. I already know none of these characters make it so I don't see the point in trying to make me care about them.
Also, Nobuaki continues to be unlikable. Excluding Natsuko's sudden change of character he was completely willing to let Teruaki rape her instead of listing to her request of him first.
