Probably a little bit Meh unless it turns out the Renmant characters would get Personae based on their inspirations

Arc Sys are the probably the go to guys to realize some of RWBY's cast's fullest potential in a fighter. Penny and Sun Wukong in particular could be incredible in this game.
Penny is basically a Murakumo, so she's tailor-made for the company.
Does the game count as Mascot Fighter or is there criteria beyond the crossover aspect?
On a different now. If an OG villain isn't introduced, who do you think would be responsible for the collision of worlds? Salem? a Time-displaced Terumi? Another spaect of the collective Unconscious (though that might fit the OG bill) that gave us such wonderful people such as Yaddablah and Izanami?
That's a good question. Salem would be up for a Villain Team-Up. Terumi, Izanami, and Relius will for the sake of pragmatism (and probably double-crossed each other).
Hilda and Adachi, on the other hand, prefer to go solo, so...
I'm guessing a higher-up will be involved. Seems plausible.
In your haste i think you all overlooked the most important thing: Ruby spoke english, and it was correct and didn't sound like someone talking slowly to another person like they were an idiot!
I am surprised they used the English VA over the Japanese dub VA.
I find it interesting to point out that Ruby shares her Japanese VA with a Blazblue character; Mai Natsume.
Saori Hayami also voices Orie in Under Night too. Which means she has a role in every property shown in the cross-over except for Persona.
She's from an American work that, if I had to guess, is probably overwhelmingly consumed in its original English, since the Japanese have similar opinions to fans of anime about how a work is best in its original language.
More people from the west are going to be excited about her than Japan, too, so that initial reveal means more when it's her original voice actress.
RWBY is pretty big in Japan right now, it's even airing on Japanese TV.
Don't get me wrong I'm glad to hear Lindsay Jones voice her, just caught off guard by it.

Yeah they even made some manga for the series.
How can RWBY air on Japanese TV? Aren't there laws saying only local programmes are allowed to be on TV?
Unless you mean cable TV, in which case, carry on. <3
To add another potential series to the list of possibilities that could be in this... there's Melty Blood.
I imagine other series will be limited by their sprites. Guilty Gear and Melty Blood don't have HD Sprites, so any characters from them will need to be redrawn completely. That being said, I won't be surprised if we get Sol Badguy, with new HD Sprites based on his Xrd look in the game.
So how many people per franchise do you think we'll het? I'm going to guess that we will get the Investigation team plus one more from Persona, team RWBY plus two more for RWBY, and I'm not sure about the other two. Maybe Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear as it's sole representative.
It'd be both Sol and Ky to match with the tag battle aspect. I doubt ASW would pass for a chance to have all four rivals in the same roster if GG is a consideration.
With that in mind, rival and Big Bad characters are a given. I'd suspect the number of reps for each will be an even number. 8-per -franchise sounds like a safe bet.

Watch as the Bonus Boss of the game is Gold Sol. Possibly accompanied by Gold Ky.
I will say, having Ky's Grinder Moves coupled with Assists... Yikes. Or they'll give him Lighting Sphere and Lighting Javelin back.
I'm wondering who the RWBY Villain reps will be. Cinder is a given, they could do Adam, just for the hilarious irony of putting him on a team with Terumi against a Ragna/Yang team.

Considering they seem to be recycling a lot of sprites, I'm going to guess about 7-8 reps per franchise. Now, I don't know who they'll pull for UNIEL considering I've never really touched it, but here's my guesses for the other three:
I'd actually say Susanoo would be the Big Bad. He's the most powerful BB villain, the game uses Blaz Blue for it's title, he has the proper level of grandure for a crossover villain, and there's all kinds of fun stuff you can do with him, like absorbing the souls of other characters to get stronger.
In my opinion, I would almost aim for 5-6, at least for now. On one hand, it would be easy to fill out the roster since most assets already exist. On other hand, there would be the problem of the roster becoming too bloated for game like this.
There will probably be quite a few NPCs though.
Well if they ended up giving Shadows to BB characters, then color me surprised...
Shadow Mu = CS Mu?
I actually think Ruby and Ragna would get along? Ruby would find his sword really cool and her natural little sister vibe meshes well with Ragna's big brother instinct. Also they could relate to having trouble getting along with ice powered teammates and having well dressed sadistic jerks as enemies.
This game is a nail on Mv C's coffin.
Have other characters been confirmed yet? Any?
Not yet. Just, Ragna, Jin, Hyde, Ruby and Yu.
