"Speaking volume and pitch increased by 25%," the girl replied to Nowi's insistence, her head tilting to one side, "Increase in distress levels detected. Subject may be in denial."
After that, she turned her attention back to the attendant and listened quite intently. When she was finished speaking, the girl gave a brief nod.
"Understood. Information provided matches presence of gate between present location and New Rome."
"Princess's" question prompted her to look around the area again, this time taking in particular note the other hallways that surrounded the central area.
"90% chance additional hallways lead to additional portals." Then she turned to "Princess." "Investigation highly recommended."

Icon by Civvi the Civilian!"Hmph, who would call someone like you a mother? You look much too unreliable to be one of those." Needling the woman in their continuous verbal sparring, the girl in red simply gave an amicable nod as she put the handful of gold nuggets in the extremely outstretched hand of the Claymore. "Such trinkets are nothing to an alchemist of my caliber, especially when I can just make more of them at will."
Looking at their little group in question, the lolita smirked. "Wherever we're eating we'll probably need a place that sells nonalcoholic drinks and allows pets in... no offense, Primal Beast, but that is how it will look to the rest of the uncomprehending primates.." Assuaging Amaterasu, Cagliostro then picked a random direction to head into, that of the cardinal east. "Any of you have special dietary concerns so we know what to look out for or to avoid, please state them now."
The situation in the store seemed to have gotten somewhat under control, outside of the fact that a certain someone was trying to steal a rabbit but it didn't look like Tokoyami needed to intervene with that since that was also already being handled. Rom then showed up saying that he was detecting an unusual energy coming from nearby and almost immediately afterwards Tokoyami got an... unusual text from Uraraka.
From: Tokoyami
I hope what you mean is that you happened to find a dog named Amaterasu.
Nothing serious has happened here yet, but Rom has detected something close. I'll tell everyone about those Yoma.
"It looks like Uraraka and the others found something else, there are some other creatures called Yoma lurking around that are also a threat," Tokoyami alerted everyone, then looked towards Rom, still remaining very serious "As for what you said, do you mean there's a wraith right here in this store?"
With all the fighting done, Iris went back to the ground and her wings vanished as she began following everyone else inside. None of them seemed to have noticed her, or if they did, they didn't care. Either way, at least they had gotten everything dealt with. Inside, the place looked about what you would expect it to, very poor and dull, so so very boring to look at, it made her want to leave already.
"This place looks so... lifeless..." she commented, acting a little uncomfortable, "So what are we supposed to do now? Destroy everything here?"
Shantae continued to trudge down the street towards the beach. If there was one place she would be able to find Risky Boots, it would be by the sea. As she walked, she looked up and saw a very downtrodden-looking nurse walking in a different direction. Shantae's eyes widened and she walked briskly to try and catch up with her.
"Uh, hello?" Shantae greeted Mikan. "I'm looking for someone, can you help me?" she asked. Then she noticed the rather blank look in the girl's eyes.
"Are you all right?" Shantae asked, a caring tone entering her voice.

She responded to the humanoid doll
"Other...Portals? I presume one can bring me back to my abode... later. For now, perhaps we should take a gander at this 'New Rome' place. Where would the gate be?"
Mikan- Ahoy City
She was continuing on her way to who knows where, only to hear someone's voice ask her a question.
"Ah!"
She stumbled back and tripped, landing in a... provocative position, to say the least. She eventually got back up, meeting a tan girl in some sort of arabic outfit.
"Ah, sorry! Um... I think I'm fine? Um... If you want me to help, I can... as long as it's not dying, I can do anything you want, o-or you can do anything you want to me..."

Fabiola Group, Food Get
Eventually, the unlikely group managed to find a simple bistro a bit off the main street. It didn't look like much, but the pleasant aroma of food was well-felt and true.
The locale wasn't a big one; and it seemed they were the only customers at the moment. The group was approached by a red-haired woman on rollerblades in a waitress' outfit. "Hello, and welcome to "At Burger's". May I take your order?" Notably, she boasted a pair of prominently spiky ears.
More notably, it seemed that she was long used to such unusual sights, not phased even by Amaterasu's appearance.

Shantae blinked in confusion at Mikan's over-the-top reaction. And what was this she was talking about doing whatever she wanted to her? Shantae just tilted her head.
"I just wanted some help finding someone, I didn't want to do anything to you," Shantae pointed out, sounding confused. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm Shantae, guardian genie of Scuttle Town! I'm looking for a pirate queen and her pirate crew. They stole something important to me and my uncle. Then I want to try and find a way home."

"No, see, it's a kind of foreign noodle dish. Has tomato sauce and cheese on it." Issun was mumbling something into Amaterasu's ear. She smiled and 'woofed' quietly.
"We'll have the spaghetti and meatballs." Issun translated from atop Ammy's head. Amaterasu was on the ground, lying under the table with a bowl of milk to lap from. Issun had swiped someone's straw from the table and was taking tiny sips from it as well.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?Mikan-Ahoy City
Mikan was just as confused as Shantae, though for different reasons.
"Genie? Scuttletown? Pirates? I-I thought you were a student... S-sorry for presuming... Ah, is it alright for me to remember your name? Oh, sorry, forgot to introduce myself, sorry. I'm Mikan Tsumiki, Ultimate Nurse."
She'd question all the seemingly fantastical parts of Shantae's story, but she felt it wasn't her place too.
Shantae smiled warmly at Mikan. "Mikan. Nice to meet you! Of course it's okay to remember my name!" The girl introduced herself as an ultimate nurse. She tilted her head and smiled.
"Ultimate nurse?" said Shantae. "You're a healer? That's so noble of you!" She glanced towards the beach, then back towards Mikan. "Hopefully Risky Boots will be near the beach. You want to help me look?" she asked.

"There's no need to be ashamed of your talents. If you can do something and do something well you should be proud of it!" Shantae insisted. "Thank you for your help," she added, starting to walk with Mikan towards the beach.
As she looked along the coastline, she was seeing little in the way of pirate ships or Tinkerbats, but it was certainly very calming hearing the ocean waves and the seagulls in the distance. It reminded her of home, though home was a lot more bustling with people coming and going, and ships entering and leaving port. She glanced back at Mikan.
"Do you see anything unusual?" she asked the nervous nurse.

Helen craned her neck to get a better glimpse at the waitress's feet. Wheels? Now that was something you didn't see every day. Or ever. Hell, this whole place was filled with shit she had never seen before. Even the table and chairs they were sitting on were alien to her. Way nicer-looking than the shit back home, even compared to Rabona. "Yeah give me an apple pie, girl," she said to the waitress. "And a tankard of mead. What are you getting Den?""Nothing, I already ate something yesterday," Deneve stated.
"Okay, she'll have the same," Helen snickered, only eliciting a sigh from the other Claymore before she continued. "So you kids.. sure fucking aren't human or Claymores, that's for sure. But you aren't Yoma or anything like that either. So just what the fuck are you?"
From: Uraraka
No, I'm pretty sure she's the real thing! Though, she does look like a big white wolf.
Good luck, hope that's nothing serious
Ochaco returned in time to follow the group to the food. Though the sight of a waitress on rollerblades earned a brief giggle. "I'll just have some udon if you don't mind"
Order made, she turned to the conversation starting and declared "Just because I'm not from your world doesn't mean I'm not human" as she crossed her arms in irritation.

"Just through there, miss," the girl said, pointing to the gate leading to New Rome. "If you wanna go sightseeing, I can write up a list of places to visit for you."
"Oh, that reminds me!" A couple of people groaned behind Nowi. "Have you seen a guy with purple clothes and white hair come through here?"
The girl shrugged. "Can't say that I have. Though in my line of work, faces can get hard to remember..."

"I didn't mean you, I meant these people who can actually do stuff," Helen said to Uraraka, having not been around early enough in the battle to see her initial attacks before the snake finished it. She crossed her own arms in a mirror of the gravity girl's own pose. "Why are you here anyway? You look like you could snap in two if I looked at you wrong.""Princess's" question brought a heavy frown to the girl's face as she turned towards the gate she arrived from. Then she immediately started looking at the other hallways around the room again, before glancing down at the floor to her right.
"...Information not in-" Then the attendant pointed out the gate she was just looking at and identified it as such. "-database...."
After that she was quiet for a couple moments as Nowi asked about her missing friend, as she grasped her own upper arms in a sort of self-hugging gesture. Then she glanced from person to person in the line behind them, all of whom still seemed annoyed.
"Tensions still high. Alternative plan strongly suggested." Then she turned back to the other two, before falling silent for another couple moments. "...Investigation of New Rome not recommended."
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Doomguy started pressing downwards on Henry's shoulder. Not hard enough to do any actual damage, unless he tried to resist too much, but enough to start forcing Henry to his knees. As if he was caught beneath a slowly descending ceiling. The unspoken implication of what would happen if Henry continued to refuse to return the rabbit lingered in the air. Doomguy also tilted his head as he looked at the suddenly returned Rom wondering what the man was on about with strange energy sources. Part of him wondered if it referred to his Praetor suit, which was charged with excessive amounts of argent energy.
The shopkeeper meanwhile just stood there staring at the strange clearly non-customers. Though at least it looked like that strange girl that tried to attack a rabbit earlier would be leaving. Hopefully the same would be true for the rest of the group soon. "If you're not here to purchase a pet or pet supplies. Please leave."
Click Click Boom BoomSitting in her seat like a woman of high class, Cagliostro simply ordered a cup of tea plus some light accompanying snacks so she could have her own little tea party. "I'm a human myself. I simply just modified my body through alchemy so that it could do so much more. Back in the day I wasn't expected to live to adulthood and all you know. I was written off as a lost cause. Now? I'm as fit as a fiddle."
Sugar coating that particularly heavy story as much as she could while eschewing the more... drastic parts, Cagliostro sat back in her seat while scribbling away in her tome. "As for where I come from, I doubt any of you people know- the Phantagrade Skydom. I'm actually a part of a cute little kid captain's skyfarer crew."
At Burger's
"I'll have some chicharrĂ³n, please." Fabiola ordered her own dish, idly listening to the conversation (well, more like Helen being mean to Ochako).
"I'll have the orders delivered in a few minutes~" The pink elven waitress replied with a smile before rollerblading to the back of the diner, likely to inform the cook on the orders in question.
"Please do not belittle Miss Ochako like that." She cut in the discussion with a frown. "Without her first attack we would not be able to slow the monster down and then defeat it like this."
"...as for me, I am no one special. Just a maid from Venezuela." Of course, something told Fabiola that the Claymores would have no idea what Venezuela actually was, but... it was the gesture that counted.
Claymores - New Rome Bistro
"A maid? Bullshit that you're just a maid," Helen said. "Maids just clean houses, cook food - maybe polish the master's candlestick and keep the ladies entertained. They don't have some magic wand that lets them fight Yoma. So come on, what are you really? Or are you just gonna say you're a normal human - sorry, normal hero like shorty over here.""I believe what Helen is trying to say, if you remove her insults, is that she was so impressed by your abilities that she finds herself wanting to know more," Deneve said from the chair beside her.
Fabiola, -angry gasp-, "Burger's"
Unfortunately, the weight of insults and their implication impacted the gun-toting maid more than Deneve's way of trying to amend it. "H-how dare you! Young Master isn't even... I don't..." Blushing with anger and embarrassment both, Fabiola was having trouble vocalizing in a way that wasn't just indignant sputtering.
After finally settling down she grumbled something under her breath before shaking her head. "Again, I am an ordinary maid. The situation requires that I come equipped for dealing with undesirables wishing harm upon Young Master, me and the head maid both." She made sure to stress the "young" part, just in case Helen was having any ideas. "But I also do ordinary housekeeping duties. Like a maid that I am."
"Also, it's not a wand. It's a gun."

Rachel- Traveler's Hub
So, not New Rome. Alright then. Rachel crossed her arms, clearly starting to get impatient
"Well, if any of you have ideas of where to go, you would know much better than me."
Mikan- Ahoy City
"Um..."
She looked at the port for a bit, before realizing something.
"Sorry, I can't find anything too out of the ordinary... Though I'll admit I don't know what I'm looking for... I'm sorry..."
She can't help but feel something was a bit familiar about her view, but she couldn't think of anything concrete.

She was getting a bit off track. Anyway, it didn't really put a damper on her goal...just time to go find some other pokemon out here. They exist! She knows they're out there!
"Well, I don't want to hold you for the precious few moments you'll have in this life," she said to the rock-man, turning on a dime from indignant to dignified. "I'll see myself out, then. Come on, Pumpkaboo."
She held out the ball, and her little pumpkin bro turned into red energy as it surged back inside its tiny abode. Christine turned around to leave...
...though, perhaps she didn't want to leave this man and "his" Bunbud out to dry. "Hey...I think you should listen to him," she said, turning her head over her shoulder at a strange angle. "This one smells...like brimstone, actually. Brimstone and..."
Okay, well, that was a surprise. Just looking at him, she had one of those bad vibes that she very rarely felt. Not easily described, but unusually offputting, especially for someone like her...
Without saying another word, she took another step away from Doomguy.
