Nice to see that the Knight Sauce thing worked out for them. The businesses is booming.

Fardania still can't get one over Master.

Was that the same Mermaid from before?

Good to hear from Tatsugoro again. Teriyaki burgers look crazy good.

My Demon Lord Can't Be This Cute!

I think it’s a different mermaid.

Was that the same Mermaid from before?

Different mermaid but they are both Priestesses of the Lord of Blue/Blue Dragon King so they can both invoke their blessing to grow legs to walk on land.

One thing glossed over is that this fairly common for the various high ranking priests and priestesses of the Six Ancients from the Southern Continent, chanelling their power to assume a semi-draconic form. It's just that wings for flight are a lot more common for the land dwelling races and one of the reason that they don't realise the assorted priesthoods from the Eastern and Western Continent are worshipping the same beings under different names.

It's just the anime has skipped most of the stories explaining that, only really touching on it in the "Roast Beef" segment.

Episode 11 is so good it could have been the finale. CONGRATULATIONS SHAREEF AND ADELHEID! The madlad did it. It’s funny that Shareef currying favor with Wolfgang sent the other nations into a tizzy, and gearing up for war.

Carbonara going to Nekoya not only to enjoy the food but also to put his finger on the pulse of world politics reminded me of one of my favorite Izakaya Nobu episodes. I really do think this series is at its best when it’s mixing the worldbuilding with the gourmet critiques.

Kuro was able to talk to lizardboi all along, haha. He’s rather eloquent, actually. This episode also did a good job of showing the teamwork between Aletta and Kuro, and it’s adorable how much they appreciate each other’s support.

And now if you’ll excuse me, I need to make myself a meal. That quiche had me going.

[up] I actually given then the previews I am quite confident in saying that I called it with my guess for what the actual finale would be.

Though one of the intersting parts of both the anime and novels is seeing how the presence of Nekoya has had... odd effects on the world. I mean Master selling the late Emperor some potatoes that he grew as part of a school project has had major impacts that are probably still being felt.

I don’t watch previews so no comment there.

Curious about the butterfly effect those potatoes had…

Yeah, this was such a great episode, I'm surprised it's not the season finale. After all it's the payoff for the plot thread that's been simmering since season 1.

The Emperor should be dead, walking in the desert in full metal armor. [lol]

The quiche looks delicious, and I'm not even a fan of seafood. And it's always nice to see the patrons trying new things.

The lizard guy is actually eloquent... in his thoughts.

How is the Dragon who lives on the Moon the best at reading interpersonal relationships?

Very good episode, maybe the best one.

[up] I felt my self sweat when I saw the emperor walking around the desert in full metal plate, too.

Also, don’t doubt Kuro. She’s a god. It actually is funny though that Master and Aletta somehow didn’t pick up on Shareef’s very obvious crush on Adelheid.

The final episode: Master's grandmother finally makes her appearance! And also his grandfather. Their love story is quintessential Meet Cute, and it's nice to see how Nekoya got started.

Also like any proper Asian parent Yomi throws shade at Master's cooking for not being as good as late husband's yet. I kid, I kid. Anyway, so she was planning to close Nekoya huh. Good thing Master kept the place running. Imagine losing access to all that delicious food.

Shareef and Adelheid are officially married! They're already adorable together. They take the afterparty to Nekoya, sponsoring a huge buffet! Fitting end for a Food Porn series.

Master also gets the newly wedded couple a wedding cake. Aletta was so cute rushing through her pre-meal prayer haha.

OH MY GOD SHRIPE DUDE PROPOSED TO MEAT CUTLET. But as expected he gets turned down. Better luck next time dude.

Alright, I'm gonna follow Adelheid's advice, I'll keep the speeches short. Time to eat!

A nice end to a nice series. I liked grandma's backstory, and the story of the Restaurant the best (also, I think that was the first time I've seen Worchester Source mentioned in an anime - I wouldn't put it on Pork Loin Cutlet though, I only ever put it on eggs and chicken myself) but the wedding reception was good too, with a beautiful looking cake.

I'm actually curious if that really was Worcestershire sauce or if the subs mistook it for tonkatsu sauce

What better way to end the season than with buffet after-party? [lol]
