Tropers: The Series

"We can do it, Taco."

"Yeah... Yeah, we can!"
(Chey then smiles.)
"OH SMEG! I forgot!"
(Chey then finds the bouquet of yellow roses she had purchased and gives them to Ford.)
"Here you go, Fordie. They're for you."
"Oh, thank you."
(Chey then looks at the clock.)
"SMEGGING HECK! I better change into something warm real quick!"

"Anyway, time to show you my new gadget!"

"Playing, I think the episode is near its end. Maybe you should leave it till the next one."

"Remember what the deal was Playing. Less bad ideas and more communication."

"Fine. Anyway, should I jump off a bridge?"

"No."

(Chey then comes out of her room wearing a blue turtleneck.)
"Alright then, All changed! Hey, Fordie, ready for our date?"
"Oh, yes."
"We'll see y'all in the next episode. Come on, darling."
(Chey and Ford then exit the apartment hand-in-hand.)

“Tropes, Playing, I think everything might just be alright.”

Season 4, Episode 7: Perplexion Day

It's some time in the early morning. Tropes is sitting on the couth, watching TV.

2co is flipping through the newspaper, while Taco is sitting in the corner, with his head on the table, slightly fidgeting every so often.

(As for Chey and Ford, They are both passed the smeg out in their room. They are cuddled up to each other. On Chey's nightstand was a note that says "YES, WE ARE CLOTHED. NO, WE DID NOT SCREW!".)

A news report comes on the TV.

Jill Newslady: "This just in, Sir Logos Supervelt Price XIXIXI, Lord Mayor of Tropesburg for more than 50 years, has died."

"Good lord! Who?"

"He is believed to have suffered a fatal heart attack after choking on the poorly-stirred lumps of sugar in his own tea last night. His dear friend and colleague Cthulhu has called his death 'a great shame and tragedy', while the opposition leader, Lord Coleberry the Fundamentally Unknowable, has referred to it as 'a cheap ploy to gain sympathy from the voters'."

2co chips in, “Yeah, I’ve been reading about it. I wonder how they’re gonna replace him.”

Taco gets up and nears the TV. He’s noticeably paler than usual. “Tropes, you should run for mayor. That might be a fun excursion.”

(The alarm clock in Chey and Ford's room goes off.)
ALARM: "WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!"
(Chey then wakes up, gets out of bed, unplugs the alarm clock, and opens the window to throw it out.)
"SCREW YOU, ALARM CLOCK!"
(Chey then goes into the closet to get another alarm clock. After she plugs it in and sets the time, She goes over to Ford.)
"Hey, Fooooooooooooooooordiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie... Rise and shine, angel-eyes."
(Ford snores.)
"Well, well, well..."
(Chey then goes back to the closet to get a big, sturdy step-stool. She then places it in front of the bed, gets up on the step-stool, and jumps off of it and lands on Ford, waking him up.)
"AAAH! Cheyanne, why in the name of Zarquon did you do that for?"
(Chey simply smiles at him and says cheerfully...)
"Good morning, Fordie!"
(Cue canned laughter.)

"Hmmm...that sounds fun!"

I notice Taco's state.

"Are you okay?"

“I don’t really know. I’ve been like, not drinking, and I’ve been feeling a little sicker. I kinda feel like a vampire in a movie where the vampires aren’t sexy.”

"A vampire, eh? Well, if we're going into politics, that might just give us the edge we need!"

Laugh Track

"Seriously, though. Hopefully it's just withdrawal symptoms, and we won't have to try therapy..."

“What the hell is withdrawal?”

He then hears Playing, “No offense, but I’m pretty sure you’re not a licensed therapist.”

(Chey and Ford then come out of the room.)
"Good morning, y'all. What's happening?"

“The Mayor of Tropesberg croaked, And we were here thinking Tropes should run for Mayor.”

"Withdrawal: the syndrome of often painful physical and psychological symptoms that follows discontinuance of an addicting drug. [1]"

“...you get pain if you don’t drink alcohol?” Taco seems shocked.

"Tropes running for mayor? That sounds like a good idea!"
