Oblivious to his knowledge, he is actually talking to a wall nowhere near Roosevelt's actual location.

Despite not having a heart to smile with, a mischievous smirk creeps across Etrfax's face. Hook, line, and sinker.

"You know... You'd be even cuter... if you had a clean shirt..."

He slowly reaches a hand over to the Mayor's shirt, his fingers hovering gently over the collar, his thumb rubbing softly over the top button...

...Sir, I don't think this is professional. If you weren't in my employ, maybe, but at this juncture, I'd just be abusing my power. Sorry, sir. Joe steps away.

"Oh." Damn, so close. "Right. Of course. Can't go abusing your power.... Unless I quit, right now."

Etrfax raises an eyebrow. "Oh?"

He suddenly sits up, crossing his legs and placing both hands in his lap. "Could you elaborate on what you mean by that?"

I don't know... I just told them all that I'd "uphold the decency of the town." Hell, Madam Imadam and her "Tropesberg Decency Brigade" funded my campaign. I thought that just meant keeping trash off the streets, but then, there was this... well, this fuzzy problem of our's, and now "decency" means... He stops for a second and sighs. How is it possible they can all be monsters right? It seems silly... but, you know, maybe... I don't know, nevermind, I shouldn't be saying this.

(Tales tries to enter the secretary’s area again, but this time he tries to sneak around the corner and find what’s powering the sewer dropping button.)

"Hmmm, no no, continue." Perhaps Etrfax wouldn't have to resort to trickery and seduction to get his means. That's strange, what's that feeling at the pit of his gut? Could it be.... Relief? No, surely not.

The secretary, Madam Imadam, is reading a book, called "Proper Usage of the Modern Girdle; and Other Decent Tactics" by Milk Schroeder. Quite interesting!

Well, I thought, that, if we do... you know... get them out... and then, with the few ones left, you know, maybe we can show them that control can be exercised by... things like this. You know, people can be responsible about it, if they're just careful about not entering there animal form. That makes sense right?

After's Heartless skitters and screeches in excitement. Unfortunately, building isn't something it's very good at. But when it comes to destroying....

The little gremlin flitters up to peek over the barricade at the oncoming protesters.

Please don't tell me they murdered someone this morning, that's the last news I need... But, as for your first inquiry, haven't you heard about the Fenarrio Incident? Several miners were seemingly murdered by a massive werewolf. We still haven't even found the culprit.

Must have been not even three weeks ago...

With a blue flash, a green, boxy fellow with antennae on either side of their head emerges inside the mayoral office. They look awkwardly at the pair of figures near them, and then, to the window and the protests outside.

Turning toward Etrfax, they say, “Just passing through! Don’t mind me,” and with a sheepish laugh, a wave, and a snap of the fingers, they disappear as quickly as they came.

".... What was that?" He wonders, all tension regarding the werebeasts completely forgotten about.

There's just one problem; Imadam went ahead and took a poll with the Tropesburg populace, and, the results she found were... not pleasant. Some 70% of people were gung-ho with our removal of these people. I wouldn't be fulfilling my obligations as Lord Mayor if I didn't hear the people. God, I wish I could just go out and talk things out... it'd be so much easier.
