Oh. I thought you meant actual Paedertia or something. Yeah, Leonardo and his pupil were a thing and Leonardo was actually gay, but Ubisoft had the writer tone that down in the first game (Historically, Leonardo was charged with sodomy about a few months to a year before the game began). They only ultimately included it in the DLC and, even then, its hardly discussed. He's just kind of... there?

To be fair including it is better than not bothering to include it at all or using the dumb excuse that Oh gamers are not comfortable with that so don't bother.
I mean the companies aren't exactly wrong for saying that part of the reason why some idiotic gamers get so uncomfortable about seeing gay men in there games is because not too long ago it was pretty much never seen at all in a positive way or at the very least was hidden.
Also, a bit off topic but lesbian fetishism (not lesbians themselves, just the obsession guys have with lesbians having sex) disgusts me. Never understood why men liked that or the other way around with straight women liking gay men.

This happened before to Visceral...sadly looks like EA is trying to kill Bioware.
I seriously hope that its not the case but it sure looks like EA is trying to screw over Bioware with moneygrubbing tactics like they did to Visceral in the past with Dead Space 3
Saying that Bioware is dead is kind of a major overreaction here. Mass Effect 1 was also a huge departure from Bioware's previous works and that worked out pretty well. And DA4 is still coming.
Given that Anthem was the headline product of EA's E3 show, it seems like EA has confidence in it. And the impressions from convention-goers who played the demo seemed very positive.

Yeah...it does come across as general EA bullshittery. I mean the timing of when Anthem was announced was up for suspicion as it was near when Destiny and Destiny 2 were a thing and may also be influenced by Warframe as well.
But the fact it has no single player story, which Bioware is known for, is just hitting all the red flags.
I hope this is better than we expect or doesn't destroy them as a company but sadly like most things EA I won't get my hopes up that EA won't toss them under the buss for a quick buck. DICE hasn't been doing well under EA in recent years either.
To be fair its EA.

Endless Avarice.
Seriously, EA having "confidence" in something, far from being a point in it's favor, is practically guaranteed to be a death knell. We all know what their management decisions have led to. I don't know how anyone aware of what the company has been like can honestly be excited for Anthem. All I'm holding out for personally is that it's not too terrible and that it can avoid the numerous repeated pitfalls Destiny has been subject to.
yeyI genuinely don't understand how ea just doesn't understand their audience. Unless I don't understand their audience.
May be the reality is is that fifa sells and makes all the money so they assume that model works everywhere else.
The mercenaries devs had s cool sci do gsme in the works - shut down.
Bullfrog were creating some great titles. Shut down.
Westwood. Shut down.
And they resurrect their ips in weird ways and don't understand why people won't buy it.... then use that to justify never doing anything with it.
I agree that the way they go about acquiring studios (that have nothing in common with their corporate culture, leading to them eventually shutting down) makes no sense but for the most part the EA hate might as well be a Vocal Minority as far as their success goes. Their games sell millions of units and they are one of the if not the biggest western publisher. They're too big to fail. The Battlefront II controversy has been the first time in recent memory where they've been dealt a significant blow, because they had no self-restraint and pushed too much too soon.

Sadly the general populace has no idea of EA's dealings.
They need actual legitimate bombs to strike truly heavy blows to them. Meaning something has to be done about their sports games as those games are pretty much a crutch for the suited bastards to do whatever they want.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think that (looking at the gameplay video) that this would've been warmly received if ME:A had been a bit less controversial. And I think they were assuming that.
Gameplay:
It doesn't LOOK terrible. I'm getting Destiny Horn from the music, but there's some fun Iron Man style gameplay there, satisfying looking synergy between weapon mixes (better than the Borderlands feedback as well) and some heft to the gameplay. But it's going to be far too reliant on "friend playing" - how easy is it to link up in groups? Will there be voice chat? not everyone does well off the bat.
I think it'll probably be closer to Warframe in some respects, hopefully with decent matchmaking. Buuuut the thing feels barebones. Will have to see a little more, but this has a vibe of surprise - they were definitely expecting Bioware's new IP to build upon the popular reception of ME, with the fans then getting excited by "something new". Instead Andromeda was received poorly and now they've got an uphill battle.
And you can clearly see Andromeda's DNA in here too.
When a company loses all of their unique style in favor of a Follow the Leader game then yes, they deserve some criticism.
This song needs more love.
