Yyyyeah. That I get.
On a more positive note, m,y Colossus now has a gear piece that boosts shield damage by 300% when charging. Which is coupled with another piece of gear that does similar. So my Colossus is now a MURDER TRAIN.
Charge in, send everyone flying even on GM 1, flame thrower then electro shock, then charge RIGHT BACK THROUGH again. Rinse repeat, he can pretty much clear things.
Only buggers that are a pain are enemy Storms. The minigun does bugger all against them. So I need a ranger or another storm to whittle them down.
You clearly need a better minigun. Sustained fire on them until their shield drops, they drop to the ground, you put your shield up and run them over.
Sounds like you might need to pray to RN Gesus for a Thunderbolt of Yvenia!
ahhh I have 2 of those. But I feel weird giving my colossus a piddly rifle when there's grenade launchers and miniguns.
Got a MW grenade launcher. And upgraded the minigun. Now we shall see.
Also, so much armour I was able to take five hits from the Hive Tyrant on GM 1 whilst unloading PAIN all over the place. That was fun.
Also, if you have a shield out while flying that charge damage STILL APPLIES if you manage to hit someone. I think it even gets a bonus. I learnt this whilst getting ready to charge a shielded Scar sniper... who promptly got leeroy jenkins'd by another colossus entering stage right on a jetpack.
Colossus proceeds to exit stage left, partly carrying off said sniper.
I'm basically splitting my time between Storm and Colossus - Interceptor I haven't found a good balance for and my Ranger is for soloing the open world as it's versatile enough to be able to adapt - plus it's better for most of the 1 vs 1 elites.
LOL I just bought a lot of new components to rebuild my PC that is seemingly falling apart as it will crash and then throw a seizure fit trying to start back up again and several of the components came with a free game or two.
One came with the Devision 2. And another (I think the 2070) came with a choice between Battlefield V, some other game (Metro? Can't remember) and Anthem. Made me laugh.
Should I redeem Anthem to at least witness the train wreck?
If you've already decided you don't like it, why bother? You probably won't like it.
I'd stick with Division 2 if you must have a looter-shooter.
Yeah, at this point whenever I get back on Anthem I'd be playing it for the story, such as it is.
I'm still holding out hope for a major update that makes it worth buying. As long as EA doesn't cut their losses and drop it, it should happen, but it could take a year or two.
A major update and a price drop. Or heck, maybe they ought to go free-to-play.

Because literally none of the games listed are ones I either know of or have an interest in playing? I'm typically a story heavy gamer person so lot of FPS Multiplayers aren't my style.
Also, there is a massive difference in approach to a game you want to enjoy but is bad, or knowing it'll be a mess going in and enjoying the ride. Popcorn Flicks or So Bad Its Good are things after all.

I'm taking an Anthem breather jsut because the missions were getting samey and also because filling up the Valour quest bars just felt TOO grindy.
Division 2 for a wee while then I'll jump back into Anthem for a bit.
But TBH The Division is showing how it's done - no loading screens in game at all, unless you die (And then it's RAPID); loot is plentiful and because you can equip wherever it's less of a chore.
Also, what you do seems to have an actual impact in the world.
Only thing i feel Anthem does a bit better is how impactful combat feels with combos and so on. Oh and world traversal. It's fun to go from one side of the map to the other.
Guess what, Anthem is Bioware's second-best selling game ever, there'll be a reduction of loads in next week's patch along with a minor content update (legendary missions, which are daily story mission replays on steroids a la Destiny), then there's a major content update coming with a new Stronghold next week, and in today's livestream, the producers announced the obvious, namely the fact that the cast has finished a their motion capture recordings recently (see Twitter post by Annie Wersching that I linked to a week or two ago).
So if you can get Anthem, get it and either finish the storyline or wait for new stuff that will keep coming for free.
all that first part says to me is "good to know name brand will sucker a whole lot of idiots to reward EA for releasing a game months before it was ready"
According to this article, we should be worried by these sales numbers.
Anthem's Sales Figures Could Mean More Publishers Stop Early Copies
Basically, Anthem's initial success may encourage other publishers and developers to keep critics from looking at their game until nearly the last minute.
Anthem is the worst-reviewed Bio Ware game ever, and it is being routinely shredded by its own sub-reddit. It's also the best selling game in its launch month. These two facts are no longer mutually exclusive from each other, and if publishers look at Anthem and see a safety valve for unexpectedly poor receptions, it might become a very common phenomenon over the next few years.
The sales numbers do at least mean that Bioware will likely be around to make the next Dragon Age game. But Anthem being rather...mediocre...means I'm no longer all that enthused about the next Dragon Age game anymore.

Thatís EA for you.
Headlining scummy practices just like always. (Sarcastic Clapping)
The sad thing is that these scummy practices work more often than not. Especially on us gamers.
This is why I never pre-order games and always wait at least a week or two after launch.

I am trying to be careful with my pre-orders especially by making sure I only pre-order sure fire things.
For instance I pre-ordered Devil May Cry 5, not a bad choice.
A bad choice I made was pre-ordering Assassinís Credd: Odyssey. The lesson there is I WILL NEVER PRE-ORDER AN ASSASSINíS CREED GAME EVER AGAIN.

I only pre-order games I'm certain I'll want to play. Like ABSOLUTELY certain. Dragon Age: Inquisition being an example. But I haven't done it in awhile.
Learned that lesson with Unity.

I miss the demo. Anthem had an open beta, I played that and liked it, that's why I bought it. (Didn't preorder, because EA.)
literally the only game ive preordered in the last 5 years was super robot wars T, and only because I know full well what im getting with that series,.
