I know I'm kinda late to the party, but we've gotten to the point where we're getting entirely new characters modded in, and it's awesome. For being the first such character, SSG Goku is dope. My only real nitpick is that Shoulder Toss is janky looking, but that's not a dealbreaker to me by any means.
Here's an overview of SSG Goku.
It's more resource-intensive, and poor implementation is a lot more noticeable than it is with delay-based netcode (see Street Fighter V for an example of rollback done poorly), so they really need to take the time to get it right. Bad delay-based netcode just looks like someone has a really bad connection.

I can see the logic behind it. Characterization-wise, Caulifla is the gung-ho fighter of the pair while Kale is the one who hangs back and barely intervenes until she can't take it any more.
It's just that the Discard and Draw writing habit of the Tournament Of Power meant that Caulifla got immediately overshadowed by Kale (leaving her "gung-ho combatant" character role mostly an Informed Attribute) so the latter got more unique action scenes devoted to her, until both got similarly replaced by Kefla.

If I'm being honest, the best way to have them as a character would be:
- Caulifla point, Kale assist.
- Kale transforms from SS1 to SS2, gaining control over her power.
- Now, it's Kale point, Caulifla assist.
But obviously that would require making two entire movesets to make work. So I just feel like the best way to do them is have Kale transform in the intro and then Kale is the point fighter the whole time.

I'll just say the same response I said on Reddit to that video there:
Looks pretty good, close to my idea for a Mr. Satan moveset. I made Dynamite Kick his Level 1, and his L/M/H special moves are his bombs and taunts.
Intro: He takes his cape off, stacks some tiles, and chops through all but one rubbing his hand in pain.
Mr. Satan cannot fly, meaning he lacks Superjump float and Super Dash. In the place of grounded Super Dash he has a jumping punch forward based on when he tried and failed to fly on the Kaioshin planet. He has no replacement for aerial Super Dash.
5L: Three quick punches forward with his front fist.
5LL: Three straight punches forward alternating arms.
5LLL: A stepping forward power punch.
2L: An overhead hook punch downward.
5M: Two pointed-toe stabbing side kicks. Mid, Low.
2M: Two stomps on the ground. Low, Low.
6M: He jumps and does a big swinging side kick forward. High.
5H: A wide swinging hook kick.
2H: A standing upward kick.
6H: Hold H to have Mr. Satan look at something behind the opponent. While he's looking past them, his assists appear behind the opponent. Release H to have Mr. Satan attack with an elbow strike.
5S: He shoots bullets from a handgun. Hold or mash S to shoot up to 8 bullets at a time. Input 2S to angle it up.
6S: Satan tosses a rock in an arc forward. Same properties as Krillin's Rock Throw.
j.5L: A punch forward.
j.5M: A hook kick.
j.5H: A big swinging side kick forward.
j.2H: A dramatic divekick.
j.5S: Satan tosses a rock in an arc forward. Same properties as Krillin's Rock Throw.
236L/M/H: Mr. Satan gives the opponent a present. L and M are command grabs, H is not.
- L: He gives the opponent a box of poisoned chocolates, which they eat. Drains 1,500 recoverable HP.
- M: He gives the opponent a video game that they become engrossed in playing. The video game is a bomb, which he then remotely detonates. Does 1,500 damage.
- H: He puts a bundle of TNT on the ground, which detonates after a certain amount of time or by inputting 214H. Does 2,000 damage.
236S: Rolling Attack, Satan Punch. Mr. Satan rolls forward almost full-screen and then jumps for a downward punch. High. The roll is projectile invincible. Hold S to cancel the jumping punch. Does 800 damage.
214L/M/H: Taunt. Mr. Satan says an iconic lie. Each input has a different animation and effect. He can be hit out of M and H taunts, which cancels their effect.
- L: "Ow, My Stomach Hurts!" A counter. Stuns the opponent if they hit him.
- M: "It's All Smoke And Mirrors!" Temporarily makes Mr. Satan projectile invincible and immune to Super Dash. Ends after a certain amount of time.
- H: "I Am The Unbeatable Champ!" Temporarily disables the opponent's assists and switching. Ends after a certain amount of time or if Mr. Satan switches out.
214S: Mr. Satan hides behind a bush. While hiding behind the bush, he can creep forward and backward slowly, and he's invincible to everything except lows. He can cancel out of the bush at any time.
236L+M Level 1: Dynamite Kick. A dramatic jumping side kick forward. Does 1,800 damage raw, 650 scaled.
236H+S Level 1: "Don't Hurt Mr. Satan!" A counter. Mr. Satan winds up a punch, and if he's hit during the wind-up, Mr. Buu comes in to shoot a large blast at the opponent to protect him. If he's not hit, Mr. Satan does the punch successfully. The counter does 2,500 damage. The punch does 1,500 damage raw, 500 scaled.
214L+M Level 3: Satan Miracle Special Ultra Super Megaton Punch. Mr. Satan dashes forward and does a dramatic punch forward that does nothing at first, then it launches the opponent away after a delay. Does 3,700 damage raw, 1,500 scaled.
214H+S Level 3: Satan Miracle Beautiful Super Bari-Bari Megaton Punch. A variant of 214L+M. First Mr. Satan, then the opponent recover before the punch takes effect, allowing him to continue the combo, set up okizeme, or do a whole new combo with the delayed impact. The delayed impact will always hit. Does 3,300 damage raw, 1,300 scaled.
Outro: It cuts to him finishing the outlandish story of how he beat those powerful guys to a bunch of reporters while sitting on a throne, smoking a cigar, and drinking a soda.

Several characters are cut due to the game running on a new engine. Certain characters now have alternate costumes as they were planned for the first game.

I think a sequel is inevitable, from the way Bandai Namco handles the IP. Arcsys isn't big on sequels for their third party stuff, but they're not averse to - like - subtitled rereleases with new content/mechanics. So maybe instead of FighterZ 2.
I don't necessarily think the sequel is happening soon (I agree we'll likely see it when the anime returns), but it's going to happen eventually. It's just too much of a cash cow not to.
(in retrospect, a tell that fake sequel was fake is that it had all the returning characters, and that while there were new characters it was only filling in characters from areas the game has already covered, with only really new ground being preorder bonuses of all things)

No game has added anything from the Super manga since the Future Trunks arc, which had Hakai Goku and Gamma Burst Flash Vegeta added to Heroes (and Fused Zamasu throwing Katchin in Dokkan Battle). But that's it. All games have just completely rejected the manga continuity from the Tournament of Power arc onward.
As for why? Who knows. Maybe they don't want to include characters that don't have voice actors, maybe there are some rights issues between the anime and manga mediums, maybe it's just principle. But with Broly and Super Hero characters getting added to games pretty much immediately after their movies release, it's pretty clear to me that Moro and Granolah arc characters are being deliberately snubbed for some reason.
