Hmm, I'd think Cabba would be blue rather than yellow.
Well, I was thinking based on the hair, which lines up with UI Goku.
I think that's because UI Goku's hair is the most unique thing about him (as a Goku), the easiest thing used to signify him
Kefla's colour is based off her outfit, for contrast.
You know, if they wanted to make the final three characters thematically relevant to each other and be a massive way to end FighterZ season 3 (and probably the game as a whole, at least until FighterZ 2), having the final three be Moro (the current most recent Big Bad of the Super manga), King Piccolo (the final Big Bad of DB, excluding Piccolo who's already in the game), and Omega Shenron (the final Big Bad of GT) would be a pretty epic way to finish off.
Yea, that would be pretty legit, but I can't see Moro being playable since the arc is still ongoing.
Demon King Piccolo is one of the few characters I want.
I still don't get why he's so low on the request list when Roshi is frequently the most requested character.
Fair enough, but I think Raditz does have more potential than you giving him credit for & I'm pretty sure there's plenty things they can use from that one fight since they manage to put him in Extreme Butoden. Then again, it's also Extreme Butoden.
Honestly, the only reason I would want Raditz is to complete the Saiyan Saga trio team & he's the only missing character from Extreme Butoden. Well besides SSJ Gotenks & SSGR Goku.
Other than that, I don't really care if he makes it in or not.
He did have that move back in Extreme Butoden, except he just merged the 2 beams into 1 attack.
Honestly, that super would actually fit pretty well in a game like this.
- Green: King Piccolo, Obuni, Ganos, Kale, Bio-Broly
- Yellow: Nam, Roshi (his classic outfit is orange, which is close), Launch, Botamo, Cabba, Baby Vegeta (based on his clothes)
I'm fairly certain there won't be any more TOP & U6 characters unless it's Toppo & Dyspo. Is Cabba in the yellow category because of SSJ?
Pilaf would be a nice surprise
Uhhh, his blaster pistol's bolt is blue.....
Yea, I got nothing either.
He did?
I don't remember any DBZ fillers involving him?
Still can use that poison gimmick.
You're the only other 2 people that I've heard that wants Ribrianne.
I would argue that she actually has more green than Omega/Syn Shenron has blue on him.
Majin Vegeta, Kid Gohan and Imperfect Cell.
Enjoy season 3 you biatches.
I'm alright with this
It's going to be SSG Goku, Goku in Yardrat outfit, and Goku in the Hawaiian shirt from the driving episode.
The sad thing is, I can totally see SSGR Goku getting over Raditz
Why is that whenever someone lists all the Goku alts, DB Goku is never one of them? Not even the Majunior one.
If we're REALLY using the colour of a preview banner of all things to determine the next batch of DLC then maybe blue is just General Blue. I mean if people can stomach OG Dragon Ball
and yellow is Pan becuz her bandana.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowI'd expect Pikkon before King Piccolo, but the latter would be awesome.
But King Piccolo has much more material to work with than big-lipped Piccolo.
It's been 3000 years…I don't think so - Daimao only has a couple of fights, and not many unique moves (like Raditz). I'm sure Arc Sys would make something out of spawning eggs with his children, but they shouldn't go too heavy on that since Daimao fights alone.
That's not really much more than Pikkon, who also has a couple of fights and unique moves (like his tornado)
Have you seen my fan-made King Piccolo moveset?
His intro is him flying down from his airship. Piano accompanies him by his side in his intro and outro.
King Piccolo has to spawn his assist characters, in return, his assist characters are extremely strong and useful. King Piccolo has icons showing him which kids are alive and which are up next.
King Piccolo can shoot finger lasers downwards with 3S, sideways with 5S, or upwards with 2S.
236S (Air OK): Makosen 1. King Piccolo fires a small beam that does 900 damage. If it misses or is blocked, the player can press H+S to immediately fire the Level 1 Super version of the Makosen. The first Makosen has enough blockstun to force the opponent to either take or block the Level 1 Makosen. The grounded Makosen is fired sideways. If used in the air, he fires the beam diagonally downwards while diving down, and he can do the Level 1 Super "Makosen 2" immediately upon landing by pressing H+S.
236L/M/H: A rekka special move starting with a wide sweeping chop, that can be followed up with by another chop or a jumping punch from behind, among other moves. The L starter is a standing chop, the M starter is a dashing chop. The H starter is a vanish and chop from behind.
214S: Spits out an egg containing Tambourine, Cymbal, or Drum, and rotates between the three. Unlike most assist characters, King Piccolo's kids can die, and he needs to spawn another if they do. Tambourine has 3,000 HP. Cymbal has 2,000 HP. Drum has 4,000 HP. The egg skips order if the child next in line is alive. If all three children are alive, this move does nothing.
214L/M/H (Air OK): Summons Tambourine, Cymbal, or Drum or an assist attack, and rotates between the three, in that order.
- Tambourine: L is an air grab with his tongue, slamming the opponent into the ground. M is stabbing the opponent with a glowing claw. H is an overhead kick barrage from in the air that ends with Tambourine kicking the opponent in the head really hard (the Krillin killer), which causes a hard knockdown.
- Cymbal: L is an overhead front-flip in the air, smacking the opponent down with his tail. M is shooting a beam of lightning out of his hand forward. H is finding a Dragon Ball. The Heavy move does nothing after Shenron has been summoned.
- Drum: L has him appear in front of the opponent kicking them. M has him appear behind the opponent punching them. H is a living shield, which blocks projectiles and if he's hit by a physical attack, he counter-grabs the opponent by throwing to the ground, holding them down with one hand, and stabbing them with his other hand.
When King Piccolo summons Shenron, he kills Shenron after his wish is granted.
236L+M Level 1: A command grab where he takes one of the opponents as a hostage by grabbing their head. King Piccolo can grab OTG opponents. While taking the hostage, one of the opponent's teammates comes in as a "negotiator". King Piccolo has two options during the hostage situation, he can either squeeze the hostage's head for 800 recoverable damage raw, 285 scaled, or shoot the negotiator by blowing a rock at them for 500 unrecoverable damage that is not subject to scaling, and he can do either of these options 3 times before King Piccolo throws the hostage to the side. Between each attack, the negotiator can either press back to block, press forward to ask King Piccolo not to hurt the hostage, or just not press a button. If the negotiator successfully blocks an attack, it does no damage. However, blocking leaves the hostage vulnerable. If the other character tells King Piccolo not to hurt the hostage, it guarantees they won't block the next attack, but King Piccolo still chooses who to attack. If there's only one surviving opponent, King Piccolo automatically squeezes the hostage's head three times before throwing them to the side.
236H+S Level 1: Makosen 2. The second, much larger beam of the Makosen. King Piccolo aims the beam right at the opponent. This beam does high chip damage on block. Makosen 2 does 2,600 damage raw, 740 scaled.
214L+M or 214H+S Level 3: Explosive Demon Wave. A giant beam Super. If King Piccolo's kids are alive, they join in with a mouth beam, making the beam slightly larger and stronger with each one. With no kids it does 4,000 damage raw, 1,650 damage scaled. With 1 kid it does 4,200 damage raw, 1,700 scaled. With 2 kids it does 4,400 damage raw, 1,750 scaled. With all 3 kids it does 4,600 damage raw, 1,800 scaled. It has a mushroom cloud Destructive Finish.
Hell, this isn't even all of it. I didn't even do anything with this move.

Pikkon is interesting, reviewing his fights. He has a ton of things they can use as special moves, but very few things to use as normals because he’s almost exclusively a distance fighter (possibly because it was filler and good hand to hand choreography is meticulous / elaborate / expensive enough to save for the major moments instead). I’ve always liked the “elemental warrior” thing he had going, too.
As for King Piccolo, they could composite in some of the freakier Majunior stuff Piccolo isn’t using.
I also dislike the idea of basing Daimao around summoning minions, because that doesn’t represent him well. It’d be like giving most of Freeza’s moveset to the Freeza Force.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Doto doto doto, he's hilarious but his DBFZ gameplay videos are pretty fun. Glad he got the Ginyu Level 3...but that Body Change though lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30_6b-xgmT4&t=328s
Max is returning to the game and he updates his rate the super
His comment about Jiren's Level 3 is just Jiren in a nutshel
Uni catI really think Jiren deserves a better Level 3. Here's my idea for one, taken from the climax of episode 129:
- Jiren should have a j.214L+M or j.214H+S Level 3. Jiren hits the opponent down and does a huge Infinity Rush straight down from high in the air, pinning the opponent down with a gigantic downpour of punch shock-waves. The Level 3 does low-medium damage for a Level 3, and has a really good mix-up situation afterward.
- Jiren can upgrade this into a Level 5 by holding a button. Jiren does a backflip out of the Infinity Rush. He hovers in mid-air and flares his aura into a humongous inferno, creating a gigantic sun-like ball that he compresses in his hand to the size of a baseball before shooting it out. The small sphere drags his aura behind it, leaving a massive wave of destruction in its wake. The Level 5 does high damage for a Level 5.
Speaking of supers, what moves do you think Ultra Instinct Goku will have made into super moves?
I'm betting his Level 3 will be Supreme Kamehameha, and one of his Level 1s will be Silver Dragon Flash (what the games call his super energy punch). I could also see them giving him a rekka Level 1, like what Base Goku has.

Max can be pretty critical & sometimes way too harsh when it comes to his rating on Supers but in this case, it's pretty legit. IMO, of course

It's important to note that Max rates supers strictly on how cinematic they are, and nothing else. Even if a super is awesome looking or flashy, if it doesn't have a cinematic aspect to it is typically doesn't get as high a score as things that do.
A good example is, say, Freeza's LVL 3, which is a pretty awesome and in character move with nice sound work and visuals - Freeza getting super pissed, buffing himself out and just slamming you down and all. But because it's just a single hit without any cinema at all, he gave it like a four.
It's why his early Rate the Super on Blaz Blue wasn't that great. That game and its supers have a very distinctive aesthetic style, but it isn't the kind he really looks for.
Or in this one, another good example is how like GT Goku's non-boosted Super got a low score because he's unaware of what it's referencing, so to him it looks like someone tacked a kamehameha onto a superdash and he thinks "why does this exist?"
That said, he's a very good judge of what makes a cinematic super good - how to adequately frame them and give them weight and pacing - which makes sense: he doesn't broadcast it, but he's a keen eyed director. It's just that what he looks for specifically isn't the be all end all for what makes a super good.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. While on the topic of Supers, I had some ideas for Supers they could give Freeza from his time in the Tournament of Power.
- Grand Death Beam is a j.236H+S Level 1 Super. Freeza holds both hands out and shoots 10 Death Beams, one from each finger. Grand Death Beam is a homing beam Level 1 used for pressure, like Piccolo's Hellzone Grenade, Kefla's Gigantic Ray, or Zamasu's Blades of Judgement.
- Cage of Light is a 236H+S Level 1 Super. Freeza shoots Grand Death Beam upwards and creates a laser energy cage on the field. Freeza can fight the opponent in the cage, and touching the bars of the cage does damage. Any assist characters called hit the cage, doing damage to them and canceling their assist. Also, neither fighter inside the cage can swap out. The Cage of Light lasts 10 seconds, or until one fighter is hit by a Level 3 Super or is KO'd. Freeza can also end Cage of Light manually by using 236H+S.
- One of Freeza's teammates can come in before the laser cage is set up by pressing the assist button. If one of Freeza's teammates is fighting in the cage, Freeza stays outside the cage to keep it active. This version of Cage of Light lasts 15 seconds. Freeza can switch back in with the assist button, but it cancels Cage of Light.
That does sound pretty legit. Although, it does sound kinda broken like Space Gem's Infinity Storm that only cost 1 bar.

And you can argue that's why his rating this time around is more legit.
When Max is familiar with a series he knows about the Dood can pretty bias.
Again, I agree with his scores for that video & I do think him being critical can be a good thing at times but sometimes he makes it sound like a better Super Move would be a guy throwing his shoe just because it's not a Kamehame Hadoken

Sort of like Space Gem's Infinity Storm, except your character is also trapped in it, it can't move, and touching the walls does damage. As far as size goes, I was thinking around 2-3 times the width of Space Gem's Infinity Storm with no ceiling.

So... what are the chances Blue is Mercenary Tao? That shade of blue's pretty close to his secondary color.
I mean, the chances are probably still low.
I'm not saying his scores are a bad thing. I'm saying he's not, and never has, rated supers based on whether or not they're good. Or really even whether or not they're interesting.
He rates them on how movie-like they are. And that's all.
Edited by KnownUnknown on Mar 11th 2020 at 1:39:41 AM
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. As an OG DB rep, Mercenary Tao does make sense, not as much as King Piccolo or Roshi would, but still arguably the most "major" of the DB villains of that era aside from Daimao.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterThen I misunderstood entirely, my mistake.
Also, I don't remember Tao ever having anything blue related before?
I could've sworn it was a proper cage?
Either way, the Super being broken could be a good thing. The concept sounds very interesting but does need some testing in some way.
Personally, I do think it would be more interesting if it was broken.
King Piccolo for green seems very likely, the shade almost matches exactly. I'm guessing blue is either Moro or Bergamo. Yellow is odd, Cabba makes sense, but I can't imagine he'll be the final character of the entire game. It could be Roshi.
