Any of the Trio of Dangers, Raditz, Roshi, Cabba, and Frost.

Yep, as I Kevin X demonstrates, almost none of 17's moves are from the Tournament of Power. One of the few that are is actually his walljump.

We only saw a few of his moves, it's a bit much to say there aren't any T o P moves.

Hey, Arale would be an amazing choice and God knows this roster could use more female fighters.

And Japanese fans would love it.

Disagree all over, all of them would be good choices for the game.

Well just Bergamo in the Trio of Danger case.

To explain, the Trio of Dangers are overhyped and not interesting at all, Raditz, Cabba, and Frost are just boring, and Roshi is a garbage character.

The Trio got memorable designs & fun powers despite being ultimately minor characters in the grand scheme of things.

As well as the fact they kinda come from a Mad Max universe & Bergamo’s manipulation of the Gods during the preliminaries was pretty interesting.

Plus the concept of a 3 in one team is pretty cool.

Trio De Dangers would probably get the Ginyu/18&17 treatment, most likely. But if they could be swapped and controlled freely, that would be nice.

I think that it would make the most sense to have Bergamo as the main fighter, with Lavanda and Basil as assists. Lavanda provides poison status effects and Basil provides projectile coverage.

My dream scenario for the Trio De Dangers would incorporate Bergamo's growing as a passive effect. The more damage he takes, the larger he grows, which increases his power. Obviously, Bergamo couldn't get to the kaiju-size he did in the anime, but he could be maybe a bit taller than Broly as his max height. Maybe like Sentinal in MVC.

Over in Japan, the Fighter Z intro got an updated look (I assume for post-game players). It removes most of the story elements in favor of squeezing in all of the DLC characters (and Android 21).

Oooof, the editing for that is...Not good. And the music itself is just mixed terribly.

Quick someone overlay Rev 2's opening theme over this one to see if it fits better than the original song like with the first opening.

I get the feeling the Android 17 dlc started development before the show had gotten to a bunch of 17's really cool moments.

About Arale, I'm mostly just saying that she's not a Dragon Ball character, so I don't think she should be in the game. Otherwise, she'd be fine.

hasn't stopped her before. she's appeared in several other dragon ball games too, including fusions.

Gotta get more female characters in the game somehow.

If Arale somehow gets added as DLC, I hope she has an assist move where she summons the Gatchans to zap the opponent with their lightning. Also, give her some unique dialogue that references Dr. Slump, like dialogue referencing how Whis and the Gatchans are both Angels and a line where she mistakes Yamcha for Tsun Tsukutsun.

The move she uses to KO General Blue and later Vegeta would have to be her LVL 3.

So DLC fighters are themed right? What's the connection between Cooler and Park Ranger 17?

Also, can you guys think of themed pair for a future season 2?

That's a given, I think that's been her ultimate in every single game she's playable in.

Honestly, as much as I love Arale (like, I actually read Dr. Slump as a kid, it's as precious to me as Dragon Ball is), she's kind of boring as a fighting game character. Like, she's got the headbutt, her signature airplane run, her mouth blast, and not much else. At the same time, it's just great to have Dr. Slump continue to be acknowledged.

If I had the opportunity to make a Dr. Slump game, however, a fighting game would probably be the last genre I would pick. My number one pick would be a GTA-style open world game, with Penguin Village as the setting and Arale as the player character. The charm of the series is in the wacky world, quirky cast, and fun character interactions, and Arale's running gag of destroying police cars would work great in such a game.

she also has a cute finger flick from Fusions. And besides, all of that would actually make her stand out from the rest of the cast because of how silly they all are.

...i just realized how absolutely fucking sick it would be if we got an OG Dragon Ball set of fighters that had Kid Goku and Arale in it. that would make me so excited.

Yeah, it's just that she didn't come from an action series, so her roster of moves isn't as deep as, say, Gotenks. Most of the comedy with Arale comes from physical humor, visual gags, and character interactions, which are hard to translate into a fighting game. Like, one of the more common jokes in Dr. Slump is Arale casually pulling her head off, and other people being shocked/horrified. I guess you could give her a move where she pulls off her head and throws it as a projectile, but that's not quite the same in terms of the punchline.

If memory serves, there actually is an old 2D Dragon Ball fighting game/platformer. It's the only game where Giran is playable. Not sure if Arale is, though.
