I don't know if this belongs here or not since it is a DC Movie but it is set in the DC Animated Universe.
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is getting an HD remaster on Blu-ray.

The next Animated movie will be Gotham By Gaslight
It was leaked on Amazon's cover of Batman/Harley Quinn.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureGotham By Gaslight is one of Batman's best stories.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."The Death of Superman is coming.
(Wait! Didn't they already do that?)
Yeah, but according to them:
- This'll be a two-parter:
- Part 1, The Death of Superman, will deal with Superman's fight with Doomsday and be released 2018.
- Part 2, called Reign of the Supermen will deal with everything after the Doomsday fight and have the four Supermen: Steel, Cyborg Superman, Superboy, and the Last Son of Krypton (aka the Eradicator). This will come in 2019.
- This will be Truer to the Text, unlike Superman: Doomsday. So expect stuff that didn't show up in that movie, like Justice League and other DC hero cameos and the aforementioned four Supermen.

So, Gotham by Gaslight is out. I had some issues with how the mystery was handled, and I thought atmosphere could've been more dreary and eerie. But, this is actually one of the stronger movies from this line. Nothing overly stupid this time, and I liked seeing how they handled a lot of iconic characters in this setting.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).So uh, what is thread where I can discuss Batman & Harley
Because what the heck I'm watching?
Why... why are they doing Death of Superman so early again.
It's a story that needs a mature universe, not one only a few years old...
they made the same mistake again.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"And why are they still using those ugly New 52 outfits
Bite my shiny metal ass.So, I wanted to ask: How do you think the animated debut of Jon Kent (Superboy and Clark's son) should be?
Wake me up at your own risk.I fully expect Jon to have the N52 Jon Kent backstory (a clone) and replace Conner in the narrative
Saw Batman Ninja.
It was IMO one of the worst Batman movies made but the concept and art direction were great. The Joker was neat too but the movie seems like it'll be a very hate it or love it thing.
But personally it was even more disappointing than Killing Joke for me. There's Crazy Awesome and there's just plain stupid, with batman Ninja falling under the latter. Thing is the movie could've been good had it showed some restraint and taken itself more seriously but it progressively gets dumber and dumber to where it becomes insulting.
There were several points where I just wanted stop watching because it got THAT dumb. Batman didn't even feel cool in this because he always got out jams via the stupidest ways possible that makes Fairy Tale look like good writing. I felt like the concept was way underutilized too, having more of the other villains would've been cool but it's mainly Joker/Harley/Grodd.
Bataman Ninja in short feels like a novelty that wears thin after a while and is more flash than substance. Sad thing is the substance was there so it feels like wasted potential.
Kinda surprised they made a Batman ninja movie and left out Cass Cain and even Katana.
That was a mistake.
BTW, was the second Adam West movie any good?
Wake me up at your own risk.Yeah, it was definitely good. The film did a great job in integeating Two-Face into the whole Adam West Lore of Batman. There was plenty of mythology gags to AW Batman series (like that scene which gives the origin to the second Catwoman) and the comics themselves (like that infamous Batslap panel). And surprisingly said film went to darker territories that I didn’t expect it will cover, which is ironic compare to the last film before it (Batman & Harley). So yeah its worth a watch.
x3 Wow, sounds like the movie is the opposite of Batman: Gotham By Gaslight. Or more appropriately those Batman of Shanghei shorts from DC Nation.
Don't Judge me, need more views: https://www.deviantart.com/big-k-2011 | https://bigk1337.newgrounds.com/ | https://twitter.com/BigK64133The movie is insane, but to me, it’s insane in a good way, especially after a few of the animated films felt like they were on autopilot. Here, it’s deliberate the way the insanity is ramped up.
Maybe I should see the movie for myself to determine if its the good kind of crazy or just nonsense worth checking out.
Don't Judge me, need more views: https://www.deviantart.com/big-k-2011 | https://bigk1337.newgrounds.com/ | https://twitter.com/BigK64133It's nothing like Gotham by Gaslight.
There's a scene with red hood that's pretty good and if the rest of the movie was like that in its tone and handling it would've been incredible. But instead we get monkeys.
That's the most frustrating part to me. Also Batman doing like zero detective work in this movie.

Yeah, it actually feels like stuff happens. As someone who really liked the comic, the movie did feel like it was a bit on autopilot (save its twist). NOTHING about Batman Ninja felt that way. It was a spectacle.
In fairness Batman doesn't do much detective work these days.

Why everyone, I decide to make a thread for the animated movieverse, that mean not including the series like young justices or the all JL series but rather their animated movie verse.
Anyway, that being said I just saw a marathon of 4 DCA movies a week ago: Throne of atlantis, Son of Batman, Bad blood, justice league vs teen titans.
I will said that the first tone is the weakest of all, I didnt see all but Orm is a terrible villian who feel like a weaker version of loki and the fight was weird because Orm trunce almost everyone EXCEPT aquaman, which it come as him having nominal importance rather than being stronger...and that dosent matter because he is taking by the confession, in the end it look like aquaman movie with the league shoehorn for reasons, also black manta get the samuel L jackson treatment....damn
Son of batman and Bad blood are intersting, deathstroke is a joke, Ra get off to easy as Talia, the Man bat end plot look REALLY out of place here(being very silver ageish thing) and of course the whole talia raping batman.....yeah that bother me, but to be positive I LOVE DAMIAN, sure he is a little piece of shit but it have is charm and I like nightwing
Bad blood....yeah for me is a mess, I mean for one part the cast is good, Nightwing and Batwoman have good chemestry as friend, Damian improve and you can see it, on the other hand the villian seen to be off to easly, Talia just become a bad guy(well...girl) and batwing is pretty much a bat theme ironman, overall is going into the wrong direction.
Now Teen titans vs Justice league: I like this one, I dislike the title seen is VERY misleading as the fight is very quick and neither get a remach as Super take care of all of them, there is some weird stuff like BB gaing a new form out of nowhere or Ra, for the rest is pretty much the trigon storyline I already saw in 2003 series, on the other part I kinda like Damian who continue to get a good chararterization and I already ship him with Raven, also that transformation sequence.....REALLY?
Anyway those was the one I saw, put here your own opinion about it.
