Hmm, for some reason I feel using such a famous / iconic person prominently, distracts from the fact that the page is about the magazine.
On the other hand, your version is way better quality than the current photo, which seems to have washed-out colours or something.
Also, the current version SCREAMS "Eighties", from the woman's hairstyle to the fonts used on the cover (especially the title). While the Marilyn Monroe version is very 50's, but since that's when it was founded, that's more appropriate. So I'd vote for this new suggestion.

I don't have anything against the current cover. It's just that it doesn't have the 'feel' to it. Sure it's one of the few covers that are work-safe like the January 2014 or the August 1968 issue, and with the more recent issues, but, despite the low cut dress worn by Marilyn, it looks classy, and she made it classy. Dunno, like what ![]()
said, it's a matter of personal taste.

Seems it's not Playboy without the logo

I'm suggesting the very first issue with Marilyn Monroe as the page image. The current one seems fine, but I'm thinking of more classy and more iconic. Plus, should the current one is a bit small, and might have a slight chance of artifact-ing.
