America has long cried out for a film about the Oakland Raiders.
Who will play Al Davis?
Don't you mean Los Angelus Raiders? :V
I still don't get the joke about the Oakland Raiders (or Los Anegeles Raiders).
Google "silver and black".
I've never heard of this comic book or this comic book movie and I don't care about it, but if they make it, they might want to change the title, in the American market at least.
And it's the Las Vegas Raiders! Next year, I think.

That'd be interesting if true. I know Marvel has said they want to avoid rehashing past movie villains anyway but I guess this would take Norman off the board for the MCU.
Even more crap for one film.

Any word on the casting?
The writing duo behind Captain Marvel rewrote the script.

According to superbromovies, production has been delayed indefinitely
Dangnabbit, Venom probably.
Yeah, I'm guessing the public's poor response to the Venom (2018) trailer might have played into this decision.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Silver Sable and Black Cat have ever teamed up in the comics before. At the very least, a glance through their Wikipedia articles doesn't bring up anything of the sort. The closest thing I got was a What If story where Peter married Felicia instead of Mary-Jane that ended with Felicia getting killed and Peter forming a relationship with Silver instead.
Black Cat for MCU?
would they even want to use her?
RE: Silver and Black stopping indefinitely: It's unexpected, but not illogical when you think about the circumstances...
Something tells me this is because of how everyone reacted to the Venom trailer...the way they did. So maybe Sony is holding everything until Venom actually gets shown before they go full hog on their (increasingly problematic-sounding) Sony-Marvel Universe. I don't think anybody wants a fiasco like Universal's Dark Universe.
Furthermore, this turn of events, as this article points out, is happening around the same time as rumors regarding Sony's (soon-to-be) new CEO Kenichiro Yoshida will probably put Sony's film and TV divisions up for sale to place more emphasis on Sony's technology department.
And wouldn't you know it, the director has since acknowledged the hold-up, saying she's waiting for the best possible script for the movie.
Will this end up in Gambit limbo?
Maybe? This is a lot like that project considering they're both stuff that producers wanted and not any specific filmmakers.
Although, if the rumors about Sony selling their film and TV divisions are true, then that could effectively kill Silver and Black outright.
I still think this Sony-Marvel universe is a bad idea, especially since Sony can only profit from the solo MCU!Spider-Man movies and Infinity War (and presumably Avengers 4) totally gives an in for the Symbiote to be established...
