"In costume already?" Soma said, glancing from the screen to the partial loaf of bread Vels had provided and back, then with a brief "Right, well, see you two there I guess" Soma headed off to the changing rooms, quickly scarfing the bread on the way
Now dressed as the Emerald Dragon for the first time since fittings, Soma looked for a good spot to wait for the doors to open, feeling vaguely self aware that the design was intended to leave the only his forearms and chin looking "human". But hey, the was the Emerald Dragon, right? dragons were generally cool and not just among people who play to many videogames, right?
Well, if nothing else, Soma was pretty sure he'd seen another student looking like a minotaur out of costume on the way to the changing rooms, so at least he wasn't the only one in the class at least a bit on the bestial side of appearances.
"Sounds like someone's excited" He said, slipping in closer to the smol girl. "That you Velita?"
KEU: Auditorium.
For a slight moment, The Extravagant Enigma's calm and confident smile wavered before he adjusted his bow-tie and simply seemed to sparkle and glimmer brighter.
"Hmhm, I suppose you must be quite perceptive if you can see through me the easily...I suppose there's still a few...ahem, I mean..." He paused, voice going a little quiet. "Y-You could at least have played along, at least, no-one else knows who I even am, yet." The 'mysterious' man remarked, losing a bit of his shine.
Of course, with Alex's comment, he simply span around, resisting the urge to strike a pose.
"A bit much? Whatever do you mean by that, good sir?"

Startled by the sudden announcement, Daniel quickly began gathering his kit up before diving into a nearby shrubbery, wherein he would begin to change into his gear.
After a good five minutes spent pulling his gear on and getting his guns situated, Daniel re-emerged from the shrub in his gear as Crackdown, his trusty shotgun slung over his shoulder as he walked towards the auditorium.
Auditorium Entrance
Quietly hoping that no one would be able to recognize him under his mask, Crackdown began quietly flip-cocking his shotgun as a way to pass the time. Something about being in his costume helped Daniel feel more confidant about his abilities and himself in general, he couldn't figure out why, but it just did.
While he paced back and forth, eventually deciding to stop playing with his shotgun and load it, Crackdown began murmuring various cheesy one-liners under his breath "I call Shotgun? Too easy. Sit down and have a shot? Needs work. Shot up? That could work..."
To any paying attention it would be quite evident that this would be going on for a while
-KEU, Outside Auditorium-
Alex raised his gloves in mock surrender.
"Just observing the fact of how dazzling your costume is. Unless that's your Gift. In which case, fair enough."
He took the helm from under his arm, and pulled it over his head.
He had fitted a magnetic strip to the neck of the helm piece, along with the collar of the torso, so it snapped into place easily.
The round eyes of the helm lit up, along with the lightning bolt on the chest as he ran a current through it.
"Good, that's still working. Say, what time is it?"

The Masked Enigma smiled, giving a cheerful snap of his fingers as he did so which simply caused him to sparkle all the brighter.
"A bit of both, although mostly the Gift. This fancy suit of mine, well, perhaps I best save those details for another time. After all, I'm fairly certain that the main event is almost about to begin."

Alex nodded, before looking determinedly at the main doors.
He didn't know what to expect, really. It could be a speech, some kind of demonstration, who knows.
One thing was for sure though, he was excited, no matter whether or not he chooses to show it.
He was going to be a hero.
As if on cue, a sudden gust of wind blew his cape over his head.
Well, that was one part of his suit that was definitely going to be scrapped.
bork"Yeah, it's me, and you think so?" Soma said, blinking in mild confusion at the 'from what I can see' comment before deciding to ignore that with a little chuckle "Thanks. You do too."
-Beat-
He rubbed the back of his costumed neck and glanced around the crowd for a moment "So... Since we're in costume already, think they'll make us use our hero names already?"

Auditorium Show
"IS EVERYONE IN THE KEU READY TO ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCK?!!"
Everybody near the auditorium would hear a booming deep voice screaming right near the auditorium, a tall figure charged into the area, he slided right through Jaz's picnic his back bent in ways that looked very painful and also quite impressive for how gigantic he was, certainly it wasn't exactly expected he'd be athletic and flexible. He continued on to powerslide and ended right near Louise, almost in fact, straight up hitting her, all the while he was playing a quick solo on his large Bass, small flames appearing behind him as he played, and for the finale 3 spires of fire shone and started to fade once he stopped playing.
Now that he was stationary, it was visible that this was Bas, who's only real change was getting rid of the bag switching white jeans with white jeans covered with stylized flames and wearing a black leather jacket above another red shirt which had the words Guitaurus in a fire font printed on them right above a a fire totem
◊. However his personality seemed completely different, as though he was a different person now, his stance was more confident and upright, his right hand held high and showing the hand sign of heavy metal and his left arm holding his guitar up
Inferno looked to his right, seeing the eerie glow only barely made him blink as he turned his head back to looking at the rest of "His Stage"
Hey I even have a damn lightshow here, awesome. It's almost like a real stage, I can work with this. Bas breathed slightly heavily, it was the first time he did such a controlled stunt with his gift, but despite being a bit out of breathe, he still showed some incredible confidence and poise almost as if he didn't care if it was embarassing or not to do this during a normal time and not a stage performance.

Serena snorted at Christopher's words. Oh, boy, one of those kinds of heroes, eh?
"Whatever you say, man, I'll play along. You look flashy as all hell, by the way. Suits you right well, pretty boy."
She grinned at that....just before Alex showed up to chat. Shrugging her shoulders, she shut her mouth. All out socializing wasn't her thing.
Meanwhile, Jaz completely ignored the giant Minotaur powersliding near hear, biting her sandwich and picking her right ear.
Poor Louisa, on the other hand, was utterly terrified. As Guitaurus skidded to a stop next to her, the girl let out a bloodcurdling scream.
"GYAAAAAAH!" She flailed, jumped, tripped and landed facefirst in the dirt, her Gift acting out.
So now she was flat on her face and lit up like the fourth of July.
Poor Louisa.
-KEU, Outside Auditorium-
Alex nearly jumped out of his skin when Bas came powersliding in.
Thankfully, his suit prevented his powers from going haywire, so nobody in the vicinity was fried.
So that was good.
Back on the subject, what the HELL?!
Well, at least he knew what his Gift was.

The Enigma gave a slightly nervous chuckle and made sure his mask stayed secure. "I appreciate the compliment. I'm glad I'm not blinding everyone with my, er, splendor. As in literally. Let's say that these stylish looks are more for just show and we'll leave it at that."
Of course, with the compliments, his mask wasn't exactly good at hiding the slight blush on his face...although with her going silent at the sight of Alex.
"Something the matter?"
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day."Ack, really? I knew I should have been watching more Hero TV while I was getting ready to fly over here..." Soma said, then coughed and attempted to put on a slightly deeper and more 'heroic' voice to say "Well, I'm sure everything will work out!" It was probably more cheesy than anything though.
Then the minotaur came sliding in from somewhere, totally stealing the show that wasn't really a show yet (unless it was), and Soma found himself throwing up a horned rocking hand sign in return.
That guy's got the right idea. It's time for getting pumped, not for second guessing everything!

Mariam chuckled as Louisa fumbled with her words.
"You're welcome to brag. Call me jealous," Mariam said. "Daytime heroes get to wear such bright colors. I almost didn't recognize you."
A sudden blast of hot air almost blew Mariam off balance, but she braced against the force of Bas's bass solo. She simply gave the same slightly vacant, slightly provocative smile. She crouched down to pick Louisa off the ground and brush dirt from her shoulders like a mother does to a child.
"Really should get a grasp on that Gift of yours, honey. You'll be needing more composure for the future."
She stepped forward nonchalantly and politely clapped for Bas.

Serena shrugged uneasily and put her hands behind her head.
"Yeah, well, interacting with too many people at once really isn't my thing. You and sis are all I can handle right now." she told the Enigma.
Meanwhile, Louisa got back on her feet, the light coming from her body dimming....but the gigantic blush on her face more than made up for it.
"I'm so sorry...." she mumbled to Mariam, once more hiding her face behind her cape.
"Um, when you say, daytime heroes...um, what do you mean? Also, um, I'm sorry, but, well, you shouldn't be jealous of someone like me. From what I've seen, um, you're really kind and really cool so um...I'm sorry!"
She glanced at Guitaurus then and let out a small eep of fear.
"I'm sorry, but please don't do that....I was so scared..."

Laz looked up at the creature ob the bike. "That a fact huh? I was a vigilante for the past two years." He stood up as the announcement sounded. "See you hombre." Laz turned back.. "What's your name? I'm Lazarus."

Eon walked in and froze. Whistling as he scanned the crowd. "I made it Padre..." He stepped to the side as a minotaur power slid past.

Mariam sort of looked up at the sky to hide how a blush crept across her face. That was the second time in an hour someone had told her she was 'nice' or 'kind'. She smiled.
"Heroes who wear bright and flashy colors and operate during the day are the ones that inspire the next generations to come, usually," Mariam said. She paused. "They're who people see first on daytime Hero TV. Maybe it doesn't look like it, but heroes like Miracle are the reason I decided to apply to KEU."
When she looked down, she looked at her glove, as if contemplating her own costume.

"Well it seems it is time to shine." he offered a smile to Suzu and gave a small bow to her, partially to apologize for the fact he was about to break into a run for the changing rooms, tapping into the good deeds he had performed by picking up the loose trash along the ground.
Picking up litter+heroic greeting-perceived disturbance= 10%
Paragon burst into a powerful sprint toward the male changing room, tossing off the top layer of his clothing to reveal that he had kept his suit under his clothes, much like is favorite classic characters. Adorning every bit of the suit were the names of various charities standing out against the red and blue base coloring of his outfit. Once fully dressed and his clothes put into the locker that had been provided to him he burst forth from the room and made a full sprint toward the auditorium, arriving with a massive smile on his face.

"Paragon has arrived!" the announcement was loud and full of pride, announcing the arrival of the capped hero in training to the scene.

"And what part about that implies you're useless, sister? Because you sure aren't, at least to me.", she reassured Ree.
Jules then noticed that everyone else had their costumes on, prompting her to put a bag she had slung over her shoulder on the ground.
"Guess I should suit up."
Jules unzipped the bag and began to put on her suit piece by piece
. First she put on her arm coverings. Then her leg guards. Then her chestpiece. And finally the earpieces that manifested a visor over her eyes. Now, Miss Machina was ready.
-KEU, Outside Auditorium-
Alex was half listening to the conversation that was going on near him.
He still couldn't believe Mariam had to act like an anti-hero for her sponsor. Just because her powers were not considered heroic enough, she had to act like a different person.
He could easily see why that little biker guy hated Hero TV so much.
But, as he said before, he's not doing this to be famous.
He was doing this because he wanted to. Whether he was popular or not didn't matter.
But for now, a new arrival was on the scene. "Paragon", apparently.
His suit was absolutely covered in the names of charities and other good causes to support.
He couldn't help but be impressed.
*whistle* "Now that is what a super-hero looks like."

Ann had been watching Bas' powerslide with some anticipation but then let out a small yelp and jumped back instinctively when the pillars of flames sprung up. The ninja quickly regained her composure and began sweeping her head back and forth casually.
Please tell me no one saw that, please tell me no one saw that.

Unfortunately for Ann, someone did. Clad in his understated costume, Bayard could've been another face in the crowd. He was at the point where such little reactions could barely get a reaction from him, seeing as he became more withdrawn and focused when clad in his bodysuit. And given the way he had seen his fellow students by the fountain acting up and causing such a scene, he was beginning to be less and less impressed.
Though points had to be given for the huge humanoid bovine's impressive acrobatic skill and showmanship. So now Gamble was threading through the crowd, slipping past bodies and groups with all the slipperiness of an eel.

Sabrina smiled softly as she took Carmellia's hand in a firm handshake. "It's all about practice, like anything, y'know? Besides, first impressions are, like, overhyped anyways. It's a pleasure to meet ya, in any case."
After the announcement was broadcast, Sabrina shrugged and began making her way to the auditorium. "Hey, I'll catch you there, Carm!" After all, Sabrina didn't need to get into costume.
KEU Auditorium
What Sabrina hasn't counted on was her abysmal lack of direction. By the time she finally sorted herself out, plenty of people were already there, costumes and all.
Looking at some of the more elaborate designs was almost enough to make Sabrina gag. This is some ass-backwards pageantry. I thought I was going to a university about protecting the innocent not entering into Miss Oregon 2115... Some of the designs must've cost a fortune, which definitely could've been spent in a more useful manner. That being said, it did make for a comical scene, helped by the walkig, talking metal album cover.
Smiling, she stood closer to the back, hoping to spot Carmellia before the whole thing started.

"I'm so sorry!" Louisa squeaked out when Herb yelled at her, hiding behind Neil.
"I'm sorry! I can't...um, unglow completely, I'm not wearing my bracelet in costume! I'm so sorry!" She all but yelled out.
And then when Mariam made her entrance, Louisa couldn't help but stare. A blush appeared on her face, which only intensified when the other girl complimented her.
"Oh, um, thank you so much...I, um, designed the costume myself....ah, that sounded like bragging! I'm sorry!"
