Ah, so Jaskier = Dandelion because of adaptational translation. Got it. I figured he'd get called the name explicitly at some point for the benefit of English audiences.
This show definitely likes to show how attempting to fight fate only makes your life harder. Geralt is living proof of that. "Witchers don't feel emotions." Hah. Damn, Cavill really sells this role. I've already forgotten about Superman.
Honestly, all the main characters feel perfectly cast so far. I don't know why people don't like Ciri. She's portrayed exactly as I'd expect her to be. Yen is absolutely fantastic, too. Triss only has a cameo, but I guess we can't pile all of Geralt's lovers or would-be lovers into the story at once. Gotta save something for later seasons.
It would be incredibly fun to see Yen and Triss fighting over Geralt like they do in TW3. I have no idea how fast they plan to progress the main plot, assuming they continue to be greenlit for more seasons, but I hope we get to the finale eventually.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"That's because Triss wasn't really a character of notice until Blood of Elves. Spoilers for the rest of the novels, so read on only if you're so inclined:

Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Triss is basically not Triss either.
Triss in the Witcher 1 is a Suspiciously Similar Substitute for Yennefer. She gets a bit more of her personality back as the game's progress but even then is a lot Lighter and Softer.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Shani is an Ascended Extra for a bit more sex appeal.
Not sure why Zoltan replaced Yarpen too.
But maybe it was for more freedom or someone at CPR *REALLY* hated Yennefer.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Yeah, that was a major awesome moment in the books. The Northlings finally getting their shit together and kicking Nilfgaard's black asses to hell and back and outta their countries.

Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianI dunno, Vilgefortz being a Spanish good looking guy isn't a particularly shocking choice.
My big issues have been with characterization choices:
- Fringilla and Cahir becoming Nilfgaardian Zealots.
- Tissaia breaking Mage Neutrality to put her at Sodden.
- Vilgefortz being at Sodden (that may be canon, though)
- Calenthe the mass elf murderer
Apparently SJ Ws (and I say that in the least right-wing tone I can) are upset that Yennefer's plotline is supposedly "ableist".
I'm not going to indulge those people. Yennefer works extremely hard to overcome her deformity and is shown to pay a terrible price for her transformation.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Not to mention it's not the Inspirationally Disadvantaged type of deformity either; she hates what she used to be and never wants to go back to that again, along with being bullied and mistreated for a genetic deformity.
Everything about her upbringing taught her to view herself as unlovable, and her physical appearance is only a trivial part of that. Her struggle is with her self-image, and it's absolutely clear that being made beautiful doesn't fix it.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I mean, Episode 7 so much as spells it out that Yen traded beauty for her soul ("At least you kept your eyes.")
That reminds me of the group of people that tried to argue that Black Panther is anti-refugee.

My main Issue is that I will take some time to get used to that Vilgefortz casting, He just nothing to do the way I imagine him,I picture him more like a Catholic Priest,He looks to much like a Assassin Creed character, and all the blame is mine, he was the character I hyped most because is a very important character that not appear on the games.
I liked Kylo Ren Cahir, his fighting against Vilgefortz was awesome,I read some very dumb fan complaining about this fight, because Vilgerfortz lost the battle and SPOILERS : He will defeat Geralt on a battle latter.
I hate Power Level fans so much on every media.

The funny thing is that it's probably a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy (treating young noble women like dirt so they become Ax-Crazy nutters) that simultaneously means that the prophecy is accurate.
The Greeks loved this shit.
"Orpheus will kill his father and marry his mother. So dad throws Orpheus to the wolves so Orpheus doesn't know the man he later kills is his father or the woman that was his widow was his mother."
Destiny in the Witcher exists, probably, and it is a witch.
