Strife seems like he'd play like Bayonetta to me, just a whole bunch of crazy shit with guns.
I assume his guns has special powers only he can use like how War couldn't access Harvester's split-form when he used it.

I feel like Fury's loyalty to the council is... Perhaps a blind.
I also just really like that her horse is called Rampage that really feels like an appropriate moniker.
Interestingly she may not actually be loyal to the Council, she’s just that obedient a worker.
What I read about her paints her as a very ambitious woman who wants respect & fame so she works really hard & to the letter to make it clear how great she is. Tellingly she wants to be the leader of the Horsemen but apparently it’s a position no one not even Death actually cares about.
She appears to be a rather “see the big picture” kind of gal but lacks Death’s wisdom & ability to see the actual bigger picture.

I actually really like that kind of character. Always ripe for a decent amount of Character Development one way or another.
Game's out real soon. Hopefully work won't be too crazy and I can grab one release day. (Note: This is a pipe dream.)
Honestly, my problem is that I'm working so much I don't have time to play any games. I wouldn't be able to play it for six months to a year anyway, so I may as well wait for a sale.
Watched a play through. Talk about a plot twist there at the end with Strife being the human who talked with Fury. This at least explains how his guns ended up with the Makers. Though WHY he gave them up and WHAT happen to him afterwards is still unknown. Though seeing that the Destroyer was there he might have been injured and went somewhere to heal.
Darksiders 4 might start where this one left off to at least explain. Though I hope it skips ahead to where 1-2 ended so we can get on with the Horsemen fighting everybody.
Gah! A game can't even wait until it's out before the internet spoils every minute of it nowadays!
Not that I was silly enough to highlight that text. Had to fight back the instinct though, be careful with those.
Mixed to low reviews so far.
64% on Metacritic
A rounded number has rarely put me off of a game that looks fun. I mean, the escapist's number score fall neatly in line with that 64% and yet they use this paragraph to describe it.
"It's absurd and self-serious, gaudy but aesthetically consistent, a little frustrating but also a hell of a lot of fun. It is equally dumb and awesome. Gunfire Games’ sequel is, to put it lightly, metal as f**k"
Yeah I feel like I'll still get my money's worth out of it.
Should we be worried for this franchise's future?
Well that’s just the critical review, the fans could be more receptive.
I have seen more positivity than negativity though I haven’t looked much in many places.
Though damn having just found out one of the major spoilers Strife is actually the good one.
So if we now compile the traits of the Horsemen then War is the hot-headed honorable one, Death is the eldest, most loyal, & remorseful, Fury is the dutiful workaholic, & now Strife is the kind wise one.

Any word on who voices Strife? I've always pictured him with a similar range to Troy Baker or Matthew Mercer.

Phil La Marr
Not sure yet. I know they had to change Death's VO as they couldn't get his original back - even if it's for a couple of lines. War is the same though
This is a day 1 for me, as I love the series. The reviews are weird - they talk up how FUN it is, raise a few niggles and frustrations, then mark it as a 60% - yet similar feedback in other games puts them at an 80% as "rough gems". All the comparison's around it being "Dark Souls" is a bit disingenuous - none of the bosses seem able to 1 shot you like they do in the Souls series.
Here it's like any other Metroid vania or old platformer - bosses with set patterns you learn! But it's this generations touchstone, I suppose, so everything is a shade comparison.
Well, look forward to what the user feedback is.
Sounds like Phil La Marr

Maybe people are reminded of Dark Souls because the name Darksiders III kinda looks like Dark Souls III? I know I keep clicking on our Dark Souls III thread thinking it's this one.
So anyone played it yet?
Got it! Liking it so far.
I took out the first Sin, not that that's much of an accomplishment she's fifteen feet from your first spawn point, and played around with the game a bit.
Combat's awesome and fun. This whip is a weapon I wish I could use in every damn action game out there. The loot's underwhelming though, picking up a healing shard or a lurcher crystal is not a good reward for exploring the environment. Which is a shame, because the environment is really beautiful.
Am I allowed to say "That's hot" every time Fury uses havoc form or.
I am leaving this thread and I am not coming back.
She's a seven foot tall gothic horserider with anger issues that turns into a twelve foot tall apocalypse dominatrix made of magma.
How can you not be into that.
I lied. About not coming back.
And also in implying your pun was unbearable to me.
I regret nothing.
I just wanna know:
Does she ever show her true form like War’s Chaos Mode & Death’s Reaper Mode?
