He wasn't Vulgrim.
He was the Watcher, War's personal anti-hypeman who never missed an opportunity to diss him.
I think we'll see more of Samael and Lilith this game. Samael was one of the most interesting characters IMO and also the coolest boss in the second game. I'm especially looking forward to what Samael's endgame is.
Yeah - the guy who did Vulgrim did an amazing Mark Hamill impression though!
Though at the end of DS 1 it's REALLY odd to hear MH calling someone a "whore" - it's like "Luke, nooooo!!!"
I am a bit concerned about her characterisation - her attitude to war in the teaser seems a bit villainous and sneering. So here's hoping she's consistent and not just a Bayonetta clone (a 2d one I mean) - some snark rather than sneering. But how do you play a character as "enigmatic"?
I'd expect we'll learn more of the conspiracy or other insane threats to creation like the last games. Fury may confront the Council directly for their bullshit & what they did to her brother.
We may even be able to meet the big man in Hell in person.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."For some reason, whenever i read strife's line in a comic, i hear steve blum. I think he'd be perfect for strife.
Maybe in the 5th game samael will help the riders overthrow the council, that sounds like an interesting concept.
So we know that War is the stoic We know that Death is the deadpan snarker.
What do you think fury and strife's personalities are gonna be?
I don't think the prequel comics and novels are enough to go off of, the bloodlusted headstrong war depicted in them seems different than the more calm and stoic war we got in the first game. Maybe strife and fury have changed too. IDK, it'll be pretty interesting to see.
But based off what i saw in the trailer Fury comes off as sassy, so maybe they'll make her even snarkier than death was.

I kinda prefer Fury's original look in the comics/concept art...
Maybe Give her game fury armor but keept her skin tone and eyes
Its the heavy eyeshadow into her face tattoos that throws her face off
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!So, Darksiders 3 has a release date!
Some absolutely insane editions and prices there - either this is a quick cash grab or an audacious relaunch of a franchise. Hope it sells!
We're looking at 27th November for launch - PC, XBOX, PS 4. Plus new trailer at the link. It's an IGN first one so no embeds I don't think.
I'm here for it. The special editions actually look tempting but I'm not nearly financially stable enough to grab one right now.
I really like how this game looks in action. Fury looks like a lot of fun to play as.

Bleye knows Sabers.Definitely has come a long way from the alpha footage.
Plus, her super mode is literally on fire. I love it.
Although, I can only imagine what the series would be like if Platinum Games got the license like they intended to.
Watch SymphogearI’m assuming that fire mode is not her true form considering War & Death’s Super Modes were major transformations to the characters (big red behemoth & big grim reaper).
Hopefully th game does well so we can continue on with Strife’s adventures & then the grand finale featuring all the Horsemen.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Fury would constantly yell "Flock off" and the enemies will cry about how Jebeleus, I mean God, will grace you.
Yeah this game's environments look a tad more cramped than 1&2 so they probably couldn't give her a giant form. Maybe they're saving it for the Final Boss.
Fury would have fun slaughtering the Hierarchy of Laguna let's not kid ourselves.
Bleye knows Sabers.I find it interesting that we saw nothing of the game at E3, but a few weeks after E3 bam, trailer drops, and the game is less than 5 months from shipping?
I mean, gameplay looks good, so I hope it turns out as solid as the 2nd.
Speaking of 2, have they said if this is going to be RPG, or back to a more pure adventure like the first game?
I freakin' love this monster designs people. They look like they where ripped right out of a 90's comic.
Bleye knows Sabers. Not surprising given the names and designs of the protagonists of this series. You'd be forgiven for thinking Rob Liefeld created this game.

YAY! Vulgrim's back! I need to replay DS 2 again...
Fury's original look from the comics even looks like something from the Nineties. For one thing, she shows a lot more skin.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI'm glad they changed that. Plate armor suits her really well.
Bleye knows Sabers.Looking at the new gameplay video, it seems like they've gone back to the gameplay of first game.
We see no weapon or armor drops, even from what looks like a miniboss.
Speaking of 2, have they said if this is going to be RPG, or back to a more pure adventure like the first game?
I'm kinda disappointed by that choice? There's always the possibility the build they are showing isn't showcasing any of the DS 2 elements, but this feels very much based on the first game.
She does get an attribute point by leveling up, so maybe we've still got a skill tree?

I quite liked the simplicity of DS 1 - the straightforward Metroidvania of it. DS 2 felt more Tomb Raider and the gear element after a while felt arbitrary. Fun, but a bit too much.
If we have weapons we can level, or switch around that's actually fine by me.
I'd be fine with just being able to add enhancements to the Whip same as in the first game.
It'd be nice to have a (hopefully) fun whip action game again. The Belmonts are stuck on Pachinko duty thanks to the Evil Overlords at Konami. (fuck Konami)
Disgusted, but not surprisedThank goodness I'm not attached to any Konami franchise besides maybe Metal Gear. I don't know how you lot deal with it.
We know she also gets a sword weapon.
Also we see Fulgrim has 3 categories of items he sells. We only see the first one, "Consumables". The other two are icons. We know one of the Icons is "Ingredients" coz we see the category when Fury sells stuff.
I think it's possible there might be enhancements to the whip and armor who can be bought or crafted.
That said I did like DS 2's gear system, so it'd be sad to see it go.
I wonder what Fury's interactions with Vulgrim will be like.
Hearing Mark Hamill as that smug son of a bitch shopkeep will be lovely again.
