I've always seen "illustrating the trope" as far more important than "being a good example". The latter is something I weigh in if the suggestions are somewhat similar in other qualities, while the former is the primary quality for picking an image. Usually.
In this case I don't think it matters enough to pull the current without replacement.
Check out my fanfiction!And the point still remains that in the game where the art is from, she is an example anyway. The complaint that "she's not technically an example in another game" is nitpicking, the image is supposed to convey the trope whether or not the reader is familiar with Metroid.
We can change the caption to Snake's quote at the top of the page: "Without that bulky Power Suit, she's gotten a lot more agile... You know, I bet if I took off all this heavy gear, I could catch her..." for added context. and find a new page quote, since it is better if the quote and image come from different sources.

^^ & ^^^ You're both right. Whether the image depicts an example matters, but lots of things matter. It is not black versus white, "doesn't matter at all" versus being crucial... it's a gradient. A good image of a bad example might be better than a bad image of a good example.
