Huh, cool.
On another note, Pure Vessel's range is ridiculous sometimes, which is weird because I never had that problem with the Hollow Knight.
How unfortunate that you are attempting to deceive me.So far I like what I'm seeing.
Hornet is not a Silent Protagonist, as we speculated. The healing mechanic indeed seems to be "full heal, but takes a full silk bar". Sprinting is unlocked very early it seems.
8-Bit Music Theory is doing a great series this month analyzing Hollow Knight's soundtrack and Larkin's work, it's giving me a greater appreciation for the music and how it fits into the world and the story that Team Cherry built.
I could just be missing it but I couldn't find a link anywhere on the page to a discussion page like this forum. I'm new here so if that's not normal protocol forgive my ignorance but I thought I should point it out. Also is there any way to mark a thread to be notified of new comments/updates to it?
I think they've upped the budget on the music, because it's sounding even better than the first game. Also, part of me really wants that piano book, but I've already spent so much this month...

The way they handled the soundtrack version of City of Tears is pretty weird. I can understand why they added in the vocals, but flat out cutting out a huge chunk of the melody doesn't make sense. Maybe the soundtrack version is an earlier draft?
Also, looking at the Bandcamp page
for the Silksong music samples, seems I was right about them upping the music budget. They hired an entire string quartet for Silksong's music, while the original game just had a single viola player, along with the aforementioned City of Tears vocalist.
Yeah, with the emphasis on silk as a theme, it makes perfect sense to have a heavily string-inspired sound. And as such, getting a string quartet's going to make some lovely music for this game.
Some of the best parts of the original OST like Sealed Vessel's second half just wouldn't have been as impactful without that live element giving a real punch to the score.

Sorry for the Double Post but we got an name of one of the new characters.
Turns out the Fire Ant Boss is named Hunter Queen Carmelita
. She was just added to the Hollow Knight Silksong Press Kit.
