Well, that is what I understood based on his description in the official release:
"a closeted boy needs some form of control in his anxious life"
While it doesn't say that he has some sort of disorder, if he perceives his life as "anxious" and is in general "closeted" (which is pretty much what I got from the performance) it would make sense that he is kind of stiff.
Truth be told that sounds kind of open ended, but his acting still didn't register as anxiety for me, if that's what they were going for.
I don't know what I'm missing, I just saw some stiff acting. Maybe it'll be better in the show, I don't know, but both trailers have failed to amaze me.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I mean I don't even have high hopes here, and I still felt like the acting isn't good enough. I'm really not trying to be too harsh but I don't know what else I'm supposed to say, I just think his acting was stiff and awkward. If that's the point then maybe context will make it better.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I'm not amazed, but then, I rarely are. I just can say that I immediately connected to the characters and I really liked the set up for the scene and the dialogue within it. There was so much which wasn't told but shown, which was really refreshing after Runaways kept forgetting that you don't have to spell out everything.
I have a really good feeling about the show.
Cloak's powers definitely look better. Little worried that the narration implies that they're trying to do a big epic thing about destiny and whatnot, but we'll see.

Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.I just took a look at Dagger's original costume and ho ho ho god-damn.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!

It just felt really wooden in both trailers. I've not been impressed by the acting they've shown from the leads yet, Cloak just felt more wooden in the recent footage than Dagger did.
