Well to put it simply, Cloak's powers include teleportation, intangibility, and apparently tapping into the Darkforce (which I think would tie this show into Agent Carter), and Dagger's powers include creating, well, daggers of light, and apparently healing people of their addictions.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I would say that this series, along with the half-hour comedy Marvel's New Warriors, was part of the reason why ABC kicked one of its buzzy 2016-2017 pilots—the comic book-based mystery thriller Riverdale—to The CW instead of its sister cable channel Freeform, apparently because Freeform didn't like having too many comic book shows on its slate. If Freeform did air Riverdale, it would've ruined the ratings for Cloak & Dagger and New Warriors.

I can live with some pretty crappy CGI. My problem with Cloak is that I have difficulty even seeing that he's using his powers in this clip at all. I assume it will be easier to see in better lighting, but still.
I'm actually kinda hyped for this show. Not super hyped, but it's definitely on my calendar.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.I know people were complaining about Dagger's effects in the trailer, so I thought that's what you meant. My bad.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff. If you look very closely, you can see shadows coming out of him.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.I see no problem with Cloak's actor. When he turned up on screen I immediately got "Yeah, this is someone who didn't really want to go to the party but went anyway for some reason but now feel uncomfortable in the environment" just from his acting before it was confirmed in the dialogue. And while not confirmed yet, I also got that he has to count every cent he spends because he is pretty poor but smart.
There is also great chemistry between the two main actors. I already buy that their romance even though at this stage nothing truly romantic has happened between them.

Starring the likes of Olivia Holt (Tandy Bowen) and Aubrey Joseph (Tyrone Johnson/Cloak), this Marvel Cinematic Universe show will chronicle the interracial, romantically complicated relationship between two teenagers in New Orleans: a formerly plucky and rich southern girl who steals back "what life took from her" on the streets, and a closeted boy needs some form of control in his anxious life.
Through some events, the duo is individually gifted with dark and light based powers respectively.
The series's showrunner is Joe Pokaski (NBC's "Heroes", WGH's Underground ), with Jeph Leob being the usual executive producer. Gina Prince-Bythewood is directing the plot and ABC Studios (the typical production studios for all of Marvel's MCU shows, including Netflix) will be around to give this series a 42 million budget.
Other cast members include
:
Andrea Roth as Melissa Bowen
Gloria Reuben as Adina Johnson
Miles Mussenden as Michael Johnson
Carl Lundstedt as Liam
James Saito as Dr. Bernard Sanjo
J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors
So far, it's a pretty Recognizable Adapation, though having Tandy adopt the criminal background, the New Orleans setting, and the less platonic relationship is new.
